The Assam Government has made a very good decision for those who cracked UGC NET/SLET and I have seen many candidates who passed out graduation and post graduation with 90% aggregate marks during the COVID-19 period for that reason, those candidates who have completed graduation and post graduation before COVID-19 having less marks in graduation and post graduation hence their API score is very less in comparison to them, I am very very happy with this decision Thanks@Assam government 🙏

I saw many govt assistant professor they just recruited on the basis of API & Phd but trust me they don't know how to teach their skills are zero almost so it's very good decision to recruit through examination at least fair students will get chance to become an assistant professor who don't have money to buy Phd or who didn't score higher percentage for biases of Education system.But the problem is Syllabus how can a science background student will easily cope up with arts syllabus not all are interested in preparing for UPSC or APSC so they chosen their career in their own subject but now they have to study civil service's syllabus isn't it weird? So it's better to change the syllabus where should give 50% of syllabus of own subject other 40% from this will be okay.And interview shouldn't be organised only through college committee than there will be again higher chances of corruption.
