We have white fins. We think they make us more visible and easier to spot each other, and also use them to adjust white balance for cameras. They do get dirty though after 5-7 years not nearly as dirty as those. I've heard a magic eraser helps and I'm going to try a pressure washer.
Before digging out the pressure washer I decided to wipe Dawn over them, let them sit a few minutes, then lightly scrub with a magic eraser. The grime came off easy, in some places with a single wipe. I did two sets of fins in 20 minutes and they look almost new, except I didn't worry too much about the difficult places like inside the lettering.
I tried everything……. One of the problems is the sunlight. Working in Asia the Fins are exposed over hours every day to the sunlight, that’s why the color changes to yellowish. Trying to remove this with al the different detergents destroyed the surface and the surface becomes kind of sticky………. Finally I get the Fins replaced from Apeks.
Sounds like a good idea, I done this I think the first 3 months every day. But I work as instructor and do 500 dives or more per year...... one problem was dirt, the other problem is sunlight. The find becomes yellow in some areas. That was a known problem from Apeks as I know in between....

Good timing, was just about to buy a set of white fins. Might stick to black. Thanks
Thank you for the video, it changed my mind)) How many dives you did with those fins?
Hi you can use Multipurpose cleaner spray to clean it. The one for cleaning the rust. Like 3M.

you should clean the fin every time you get out of diving. So it is not this ugly.

must not dry the fins under direct sunlight sir..
@@scubagadgethouse4755 can use the UV protection spray on the fin. Like the ine using for car interior. For preventing yellowish.
You probably don’t clean it every time you dive. Lmao.
Off course not, because as a instructor I diving every day….
They look moldy, like the wall on the background
Try with acetone
versuche es mal im Geschirrspüler
Gibt es hier in Thailand leider eher selten. Ich habe aber Gieschirrspülmittel ganz zu Anfang versucht...... geht nicht, bringt rein gar nichts.
