PhD IN USA

In this session, I have asked one of my friend who is joining Pennstate University for his PhD graduate program.
He briefly explains how and when to apply for the same.
He completed his masters in Mtech from DY patil College and had undergone various research internships at IISER Pune and Genome bio.
HIs passion towards research led him to join Pennstate University to pursue his career.
Basic Requirements:
Clear GRE/ILETS/TOEFL
Apply to central phd program website
get recommendation letter from your guides.
write SOP(very crucial)

In the USA, mostly you don't need to separately apply for the fellowships. If you get selected for the program, you will receive a stipend and fellowship implicitly. The amount ranges from $23000/year to $33000/year or even higher depending on the state, student profile, and the University fundings.

It's always to prepare by yourself instead of investing so much money in the classes. For GRE, Quants section, use Manhattan Prep's 5lb book. That is more than enough. For verbal section words, use the Magoosh Flashcards app, Magoosh GRE app, and GREedge's Wordbot app. Practicing is the best solution. Also, ETS (the service that conducts GRE and TOEFL) has its books. All are available as PDF versions. If you prepare well for GRE, it eventually prepares you for TOEFL/IELTS. For IELTS, you can use "Fastrack IELTS" and for GRE you can use "Greg Mat" TH-cam channels.
