This is so good man. I was intimidated by her when I picked up the game a week ago but your guides make learning her feel doable. So thanks a bunch!! Most fun character for sure!
What can she parry with each? This is a great video but missed that information for players who dont know which moves they can use them against 😊 for example i want to parry Lili's 3,2 as it seems to be guaranteed after she blocks AOP 1,4 but it couldnt be parried either for some reason
@@ronmexico7256 Most likely because he got wrecked by an extremely strong Ling Xiaoyu player in Abu Dhabi recently when using his Bryan main ( you can watch it here : /watch?v=uAutvj2Bhmc&list=LL&index=19&t=488s ). If you watch it, you will notice that he was constantly adjusting his tactics during this friendly sparring match, which suggests to me that he was (re)learning the matchup at the same time.
People just dont know the matchup. Xiaoyu has less dmg , worse frames and less range than almost every other character in this game. If you transition to any stance you get -10 added to your frames so if you CH db2 and are +18, it translates to +8. The only good thing she has is backwards heatsmash into hyp stance. Nobody can block f2,1,1+2,2+3, hypno mixup. Also no good punish after blocking an low attack. WS2 just launches on CH or charged to 22frames. WS1,2 does 24dmg and switches to RDS so the +12 gets down to +2. WS4 gets a mini combo for around 30dmg. I always feel like i have to work twice as hard for a win compared to most other characters. Even kazuya is unga bunga dmg on fast low in heat.
@@Michael_Lochlann I think that it is because most players either choose the characters that they think will give them the best results or new characters that are popular on YT because they are strong. That is what the latest stats of character usage released on twitter show : Dragunov as 2nd most played even though he was not very popular in T7 ( but is an absolute beast now in T8 ). And Reina (number 1), Victor (currently OP ) ,Azucena in the top 5. Also some old timers like to stick with their favourite char from previous Tekkens, so Jin, Mishimas or King will always be among the most played. Xiaoyu is quite low on the list, also because she is not easy to pick up compared to other more "simple" characters like Victor or Paul.
@@sasoripunpun2273 Are we playing the same game? There is no d+3 reversal, she has d1+3 and d2+4 from RDS, and that is her RDS low parry, covered in the video.
Would you be interested in playing a few matches with me? I just picked up Xiaoyu a few days ago but i really want to play against someone who genuinely understands the character maybe help me break some bad habits, im super interested in getting good with her
Awesome, best players sharing their knowledge taking their time

Thank you! I'm glad it's helping 🙏
im so grateful for your videos! they help a lot!!!!
I never managed to land sabaki even in training mode in T7. I need to give it another try in T8
Thank you for your work. Are you planning a complete combo video for ling ? It's very hard to find a good one now.
Hi, what's a complete combo video? What's missing in the current one?
Enfin Xiaoyu est TOP tiers dans tekken 8, Mr Croft je souhaite te voir défoncer des têtes à l'EVO cette année ! Ling forever

Mr Croft !!! get ready for the TEKKEN 8 thanks for all... Ling forever
Do you guys know the frame effect is active for both parries hyp stance and b1+3 ? Like from which [+moves; -moves] we can use both parries ?
RDS f 1+2 (sabaki) Isnt working for me, is there some special mechanic I'm unaware of?
I think I saw VDO where she can do throw after HYP parry for guaranteed 50 damage. Is that thing removed ???
Removed!
What moves can she parry? Is it only high and mid punches?
ling can also make a low parries with d/f ?
If i'm not ready in RDS, that gona be more harder for me...
Tnx! How can i make the rain dance sabki work? It always never works for me
I wonder what she's saying "Ki Nada" while parrying
no, she says いまだ!(Ima da), which, in this context, translates to "now!"
here after seeing arslan say shes top 5
What can u say about arslan statement that he want Xiaoyu to be nerfed
Btw do you think xiaoyu is top tier? Some pros are saying so.
Knee already saying her frame should be nerf
Why can’t Xiaoyu have nice thing 😢

The game hasn't even been out for one month, it's way too soon to tell. She is definitely strong though, top 10.

Do we know the parry window for her Tekken 8 sabaki? I think in Tekken 7 it started frame 1 but it was unsafe
-5 through -7 is a guaranteed parry window
Silly question but how do you do the back hand spring? Can't find it in the command list?
Up, Back. Do it as one motion, quarter circle back starting at ⬆️.
bro you skipped her phoenix parry (d+3) big miss. it’s a great move
There is no parry in AOP
@@Lingnationthat’s literally not true. try the input I just mentioned bro lol
@@Lingnationbetter yet, go to “Reversals” on her move-list and you’ll see it right there.

no more normal RDS parry? i mean there is sabaki. but the normal one?
Yeah I know. A change that kinda sucked.
