Whát a scenery! I love it... One remark: personally I would like to hear more engine/bike/road/wind noise and less music. At least some silent periods would enforce the overall 'travelling' feeling of the video. Your comments are great, as always. Keep up the good work, I love it!

Thanks for the input. The bike is so quiet, with the mic in my helmet you don't really hear much. I just got a 2-channel setup, so I hope to have one mic mounted on the rear of the bike somewhere. I'm still working out the details. Stay tuned!

I agree, if it’s possible, lower the sound of the canned music and increase the sound of the bike. The music adds nothing.
Still love your video footage and comments.

    Jay,
GREAT video! The heck with all the bike technical stuff. It's the scenery and area that's what's important here. We just camped in Hatch UT a few months back and I rode my '18 Honda Africa Twin Adventure Sports DCT up 89 to 12. Then 12 up through that gorgeous canyon with Red Rock Campground. I rode past Bryce and all the way down to Cannonville and Henrieville and, at that point, I turned around and rode back to camp in Hatch. That area is so nice to ride in. We've also covered Snow Canyon several years ago but, we were in our Jeep at the time. I WILL get back to that area on the K bike very soon. Only got so much time left on this earth so, I need to ride in places like that. Thanks for bringing back even recent memories.

There is just so much to see in Utah! You won't believe how much fun the K-bike is here. :)

I recognised the music from 7:29 onwards from the Marble Machine! Great choice👌🏻

Beautiful bike, scenery and road. Sounds like marble machine music in the background? Enjoy your ride I love my 2019 GT.

In your hiway 12 ride, do you notice a difference in power or throttle response in your newer GT? They were remapped for the 2017 MY to comply with Euro 5 emission standards.

Yes, the newer versions definitely don't have the snappy response as the older bikes do, especially just off idle. I am going to remap the ECU with BrentuningMoto's Stage One (we only have 91 octane here - 93 is typically the highest in the US for those of you living somewhere else) asap. Look for that video coming soon!

Great motorcycle, great landscape. What are these strips on the windscreen for?

Great scenery. What windshield is that?

Cee Bailey, what I call the 'barn door' edition. Extra tall, extra wide. The difference is astounding from a stock GT or GTL screen.

    Nice post👍🏻
Do you feel any difference with the reach to the bars on the GT to the GTL & are the pegs a little bit higher up/ sporty?
Looks a fantastic place to ride, some day I'll get back out there to the States.

So with the bar risers on the new bike, it is a compromise between the stock GT bars and the GTL which are even further back. And yes, I believe the pegs on the GT are higher as well. It is a more sporty riding position which is really nice in the twisties!

Did you BrenTune the ‘20? Will it stay with the ‘12 now? RDL seat? Nice vid although I only watched part of it. Happy trails on a superb bike.

I haven't yet, but that is on the list. I found a buddy who is about my size, so I want to do a stock comparison and then Brentune the '20. Should be fun!

Yes, the Brentune Stage One (91 octane). I have a video on that on this channel. :)

Who makes the aftermarket windscreen you have on the K16?

I checked its Cee Bailey from comment below. And you have the goldwing vent

    • @JayBearjaysbigadventure
      @JayBearjaysbigadventure  2 ปีที่แล้ว

Yes, sorry I couldn't respond earlier. You nailed it! I do love the vent in warmer weather and it really helps reduce the 'push' when it is up near the top of it's range of motion.
