I discovered that amazing song one hour ago and I agree with you...completely dissolved, eyes full of tears I'm searching for every performance of that song I can find...
One of the greatest songs of all time, Supergrass were and are so underrated. Honestly believe Alright did their career more harm than good. Fantastic band
Have to agree. For one thing why he is overlooked as one of the greatest rock vocalists ever is confusing. I love so many bands from this era and none of the singers in those bands can lay a finger on this guy’s chops live.
Saw them for the first time last weekend and they were brilliant. ‘Mary’ is a great tune too. Splendour festival had supergrass, Richard Ashcroft, OCS and happy Mondays across a couple of days!
Exactly ! I recall having a three hour debate whilst off my face in 04, arguing this was the best pop song, of its ilk, ever written. Stand by that two decades later.
All this sound coming from 3 people. They were wickedly talented. That rhythm section is like a well oiled machine and Gaz has one of the best voices in rock. What I'd do to see them live again!
The vocal range needed to sing this song is something else. Great performance all round of a classic song but that vocal performance was plain terrific.
I remember Gaz saying how he loved Animals, the Pink Floyd album, and the guitar rhythm and sound in the verses is lifted straight from Dogs of that album. Fantastic.
Split up and was devastated! Very dark period but by God this track helped, lived out of a holdall for about 5 years moving ! Just kept moving ! Been married and settled for 10 years but this track sums up what I was feeling then . PS and it's brilliant !
I was on streets with nowhere go after the 90s I was fucked up.moving, living on the streets.this song sums it up.i just can’t stop wasting my time, gotta find somebody to help me.im ok now.got me own flat.vinyl on wall.top.keep on moving x
That guitar solo gives me goosebumps, I could listen to it all day 👏🏻 Imagine being these boys sitting down with your children, showing them this and how you f*cked shit up at Glastonbury 🔥
Loved this since I first heard it. I'd replay it in my mind on the train/bus when I was missing my first love back in my teens. I'm 40 next year, still love this song and still remember that beautiful first love. Youth runs away from us all in what feels like a heart beat as we get older ppl. Live life to the full....It's not gonna last forever.
I always loved hearing this song without really knowing that much about the band, I wish I had checked them out sooner as I am really late to the party all these years later at 57 but I've become a huge fan for sure!
I can’t remember that much of anything, but I recall having a three hour argument, whilst completely off my face, as to why I had opined this was one of the greatest songs ever written - 20 years in, fuck all has changed. It Rocks; end of.
Anyone else feel a strange new emotion, a deep kind of panicky sadness, watching and listening to this,, the feeling that unless there's an enormous awakening and revolt; freedom is over and the next generation may never experience stuff like this.
Nope. But I read comments like this and wonder how on earth you would have coped during a world war if you can't handle the relatively mild restrictions arising from covid. My grandparents only wish things had been so comfortable during WWII.
@@JohnSmith-lt8ku you misunderstood my comment; I wasn't writing about how I was coping under current restrictions but rather about what's unfolding and the feelings that a lot of music from my youth now stirs up in me when I simultaneously start thinking about what the current youth may have to face as the so called great (nothing great about it) reset marches on. Music can make me very emotional when I'm attentively listening however on a day to day basis I would say I'm one of the more upbeat people you could bump into nearly all of the time. All the same, I think it's insensitive of you to presume that there aren't people who are truly suffering under the current restrictions...nor that there weren't people who generally got along without too much difficulty in the last war due to their personal circumstances. (Location, good health, good growing garden etc) My late grandparents lived through both world wars but I'm sure my lovely, compassionate granny would never have presumed to say something like "oh this is nothing, I lived through the wars!" had I told her of my worries for our children.
I remember this SONG and this SET! I was there! if i also remember correctly, there was a RAINBOW that also appeared at some point during the set? Anyone remember? Kylie was supposed to play that year, and Supergrass were the replacement.... i think?
Not one of my favourite bands of all time but i saw them at the Apollo in Ardwick some years back and they were mint. They sound live exactly like they do on vinyl, cd or telly... no mixing or messing wiv that band.. spot on they were
Agree 100% ..This is real talent... on the subject of Oasis .Noel Gallagher I admire as for his big mouthed brother..ha ha ..He cant even sell clothes these days
I would disagree, the first two Oasis albums are full of hits, great rock songs and broke record after record for a reason. Them two being bellends added a careless attitude and made them the face of a young rebel-like generation of teens. I agree that after the first two albums they where only "famous" for their attitude and less for their music (althought they had some great songs after DM and Whats the Story). But saying Oasis are only famous for being bellends is naive, Live Forever, Champagne Supernova, Dont Look Back in Anger, Wonderwall, Slide Away, Sigs & Alc, RNR Star, Lyla ... All songs/anthems of a generation! But this song by Supergrass, damn ... This is some great music, love it!
Supergrass are indeed better musicians, but Definitely Maybe was a brilliant debut album, and had such an impact when it came out. As for Supergrass being kings of Brit Pop, I remember Gaz Coombes in an interview in '95 saying they were quite apart from that movement.
Still luv dem lads! Very 'moving' (lol) memories were brought back to me when I came across them playing at Glastonbury '04. Thanx 4 putting them up lad! Happy Dayz!
Moving, just keep moving 'Till I don't know what's sane I've been moving so long The days all feel the same Moving, just keep moving Well I don't know why to stay No ties to bind me No reasons to remain Got a low, low feeling around me And a stone cold feeling inside And I just can't stop messing my mind up Or wasting my time There's a low, low feeling around me And a stone cold feeling inside I've got to find somebody to help me I keep you in mind So I'll keep moving, just keep moving Well I don't know who I am No need to follow There's no way back again Moving, keep on moving Where I feel I'm home again And when it's over I'll see you again Got a low, low feeling around me And a stone cold feeling inside And I just can't stop messing my mind up Or wasting my time There's a low, low feeling around me And a stone cold feeling inside I've got to find somebody to help me I keep you in mind

Steady on
one of the most underrated bands 90s
He sounds absolutely amazing. I always thought it would be hard to replicate the vocals live. Yeaaaaah I was wrong.

As good as any Beatles song imo
That whole solo from 3:37-5:00 still gives me the shivers.. Every single time I hear it!
It even makes me shed a tear, That's how much I love it. lol
Same: it's as expressive as possible.

They are having a reunion!! There's 2 shows I know about in the us 2020 in NYC and in LA around april

This is epic, sounds like they change the tempo slightly at the right times and they are all playing as one, all in time, awesome

I love that beginning of this song sooooo much , just the singing and guitar, sooo fucking nice
Such wonderful live musicians they sound incredible. A huge loss they couldn’t keep it going as a group their sound was so unique and sophisticated.

Moving, just keep moving
'Till I don't know what's sane
I've been moving so long
The days all feel the same
Moving, just keep moving
Well I don't know why to stay
No ties to bind me
No reasons to remain
Got a low, low feeling around me
And a stone cold feeling inside
And I just can't stop messing my mind up
Or wasting my time
There's a low, low feeling around me
And a stone cold feeling inside
I've got to find somebody to help me
I keep you in mind
So I'll keep moving, just keep moving
Well I don't know who I am
No need to follow
There's no way back again
Moving, keep on moving
Where I feel I'm home again
And when it's over
I'll see you again
Got a low, low feeling around me
And a stone cold feeling inside
And I just can't stop messing my mind up
Or wasting my time
There's a low, low feeling around me
And a stone cold feeling inside
I've got to find somebody to help me
I keep you in mind
So good!
