So sad we lost Liz.😢 she had a heart of gold..... Corrie would not have been so much fun and dramatic without Vera and Jack also Terry. What a Corrie family they were also Vera and Ivy....lol the odd couple..... All the Older Characters of Weatherfield will never be forgotten and it's thanks to all these characters that the programme had solid foundations from the first episode. It united people of all ages and pulled families together. ☺

So sad to hear this. Jack and Vera were one of my favorite soap couples. As an American viewer, I stumbled onto Coronation Street while channel- surfing. American soaps were getting way into mob/underworld storylines and I gravitated to Corrie because of the dialogue and the acting. Loved Jack and Vera, whether they were bickering or showing warmth and love towards each other. RIP, Ms. Dawn.

I am both sad and happy she died, sad because of the obvious but glad because it was unfair she was suffering greatly I mean on collecting her MBE she didn't think she'd make it up the steps due to her breathing illness, I'd never wish that on anyone!
It's not out of any kind of disrespect I am glad she's died but of decency and compassion for her, she was very ladylike I've even drunk in the pub she owned in Manchester, a great pub too!
The wall on one side had/has a huge number of framed photos of Liz and Bill at things they went to together, great collection of photos of her.
