Hello Maxime Perso, great welding tutorial.. Are the weld operation in 3Dexperience can be exported as gcode for cnc 5axis welding? And how to simulate the weld operation? Thanks for respond.
Hello Andri Apong, Thank you for your comment! ("Perso" is short for Personal collaborative space ;P) Yes they can be exported for manufacturing but not with this application. You will probably need DELMIA Robot Programming and DELMIA Robot Simulation for generating the code to the robot. I recommend you to visit the Delmia community to have more info (www.3ds.com/support/users-communities/ )Hope this is helpful!
@@MaximeChagnot sorry for misunderstanding your name :) okay i will check the Delmia Community. Thanks before Maxime :) anyway, great tutorial, keep it up!
Hello Akash, thank you for your comment. Unfortunately you cannot just "download for free" this software since the license are now online. However your school can have it for a very cheap price. You should share this page with your school: academy.3ds.com/en/software/3dexperience-academia hope this will help!
Hello Marnix, I believe that the welds can be reused for a structural simulation, only if you do the mesh in the assembly. However, I am not an expert in simulation, but I am quite certain that you can use specific contact features in simulation app, in order to represent a "bolt", "glue" or "weld". I recommend to iterate your question there too: r1132100503382-eu1-3dswym.3dexperience.3ds.com/#community:39 Good luck :) Maxime at PLM Technology
Hello ellesse59, Thank you for your comment! I have a laptop Lenovo P51 and the graphic card is a Nvidia Quadro M2200. We strongly recommend you to have a Nvidia Quadro. check this video to know which graphic card is certified for 3DExperience -> th-cam.com/video/hBK7dwVtrJo/w-d-xo.html Hope that is helpful!
This tutorial bas been perfect for me, Simple and efficient !
Merci beaucoup !
Thank you for you kind comment @Julien Chambe ;) Glad that you like it! C'est un plaisir ;) Maxime at PLM Technology
Another Wonderful Tutorial!
Merci Maxime!

Thanks Max , for great Tutorial. I'm a student and I want learn 3Dexperience CATIA. Do you know where I can download this software?

@@MaximeChagnot Thank you so much for this information. I will talk to my school about this same.
Thank you Akash :) I hope they will go for it! There are a lot a cool stuff for engineer in 3DExperience!
How do you put a weld on a single component? For instance a bended sheet metal corner. In Solidworks we have weld corner. Thanks.
Hi Juanmedinar20, Thank you for your comment. With CATIA weld app, you cannot apply the weld in the part. You can only do it on the assembly level.
Hi Maxime!
Can these welds be used for a Physics Simulation? i.e. do the welds count as a connection in an assembly?
