Thanks for posting this video. I have been on the fence about this product. you have now convinced me. Lets see if I can get the commissioners on board.
My department just got the Autel EVO II thermal with the live deck. When streaming to a full size iPad, there is not Telemetry such as distance, elevation, battery time etc. have you ever had that problem?
Hi Garret, thanks for the in depth review, very helpful. I'm looking at this as a possible solution for work where frame rates will be very important. Do you know what recording frame rate is possible if live streaming to a tablet from the Live Deck. Is the full 60fps @ 1080p recorded or is it reduced or maybe dependent on screen refresh rate?
Excellent overview Garret as Always. Sir, You cover these products in Depth and always answer all the questions we as fliers would want to know.. However... lol lol, the major problem I have with this product is the DRONE it supports.. grrr... I live in a major city (Philadelphia) and as we here know the Evo can't fly more then 1000ft away without serious connection issues. So as a hobbiest, videotography or law inforcement unless your right up on the subject it's capabilities are going to be very limited, But I still see valuable senerios....Now if that deck works with the DJI Mavic series Drones! YaHOOOOOOOOOOO...Well..... Now they would have something BIG..! Just my opinion and my experience here in Philly land.... I would love a test of a very! Urban area, streaming with this deck, and the drone.. of course Vlos. lol... Thx so much sir Michael
Thanks Michael, I completely understand. We did a bunch of testing on that type of scenario and the Mavics did perform better with signal penetration. Those videos are coming soon. The more we fly and compare them, the more that we find pros and cons to the different platforms. It will also be interesting to see if they have improved the signal capabilities on the Evo II
@@garretbryl625 OMG yes. I can't wait for them to release the Evo 2 for that exact reason. I'm hoping it will get a strong mile. That's all a drone needs to do in my opinion.. funny because even in the city (and I live in a row home which means I'm up a tiny street surrounded by homes etc etc but I can still fly my Mavic 2 pro and zoom BEHIND me..lol... 3000ft, while sitting in my car....lol.. now that's penetration! Lol.. 😱😱not that you should be sitting in your car and flying but dude it gets real cold in Philly sometimes lol.. Thanks again Garret for all your hard work.. Michael
Great review. But I was dismayed to hear you say that the ethernet connection didn't work. According to a video at Autel, it does work, and they lead you through how to make it work. Since you made this video, have you tried their method to use Ethernet? If so, how well did it work? My vision is to use it for SAR work, but I am unclear what I would tell the Incident Command post to do to tune in my transmission. Finally, what is the effective range of Live Deck to transmit out?
Thank you.We have one, but had problems with it. HMDI would only do what we needed if we used it with a capture card. We never got the USB work. Please define what a USB device is that works. Also any word on when and if they will complete the software for the Ethernet port. Great explanation and demo. thanks.
Great demo! I have Live Deck and haven't tried the USB connection. The instructions aren't great but this is an extremely useful device. About the ethernet port, Autel says it's not implemented yet. I'm hoping for a "Live Deck II or Pro" that includes RTMP / RTSP streaming via LTE or Wifi to a remote secured server. Sort of what AMV does but DJI offers this with their flight app where Autel does not. With DJI I can enter a specific URL for streaming and go. Don't care about social media streaming but to our RTMP server for distribution through our public safety datacasting system would be great. I'm holding off on an EVO II because without this function I'll have to go DJI.
Hai Garret Bryl, this is awesome HDMI and USB connections review you have here... Im gonna subscribe your channel and wait for your update on the LAN connection review to the networking review... I do hope you be able to get the Networking connections working and do another review of this technology you playing...! PLEZ PLEZ do the networking review and tell us more about it... how it work... what it can do... and pros and cons...

Awesome overview Garret! Do you know if the livedeck will be compatible with the Autel Evo II series?
Thank you. I won't say with 100% certainty that it will until I test it, but the Autel dealers are telling me that it will.
Yes!
Почему не делают ретраслятор радиоуправления, мне этого не хватает. Я хочу управлять квадракоптером сидя в машине.
So does this work with all the DJI modern drones? Or Autel products only. Does it pair up with the drone
It's Autel technology only. DJI does not currently have anything like this.
Will this allow you to separate camera control from flight control? Thanks!
Thank you. Much Appreciated...
