I like the no call, the defender does get to the ball first (based on the movement of the ball). The ball went backwards (the direction of the defender's foot) versus moving more laterally (the direction of the attacker's foot).
10:16 wait, I see the scoreboard increased to 4 goals for O'Farrell but I didn't see a goal. What happened? Battery? Camera didn't see is?missed it? editing issue? something else?
The scoreboard people lagged to switch the score, 4th goal, so if you go back it shows 3-0 2 times, then I showed when they finally changed it. No, no problem with the editing nor battery and if I miss a goal don’t worry I usually write it on there so people may know. Also, a little frustrating when they have people working the score board and they still lag to switch it😭
9:13 edit: for game sanctioned by IFAB/FIFA - the referee has no authority to request and/or force a player stand up in this context, this is a legal move by the defender. If you might think "well that is unsafe so the ref was right" - Referees can only penalize a player for playing in an unsafe manner if the player is trying to play the ball. Laying down on the ground is not a foul or automatically unsafe.

@@robbwatson7101 when did this new rule come out? Could you also please copy/paste the rule. I would assume it's for NFHS (high school) games only. Looking at the new rules for 2022 I didn't see that mentioned.
I referee high school soccer and this is a rule put in this year for high school soccer. It was specifically mentioned in our training that players are not allowed to lay down behind the wall. It’s considered a safety issue because the guys jumping could land on the guy laying on the ground. Just one of several examples of high school rules differing from FIFA.
