I really loved Tunis and the rest of Tunisia also. I drove solo all over the country a few years back, still one of my best travel memories ever. I wish I had filmed it for my channel!

Wow, Tunis has become such a clean city! Moreover, the city is totally underrated. Where in the world can you find a place where old (Arab Medina) and new (French Ville Nouvelle) coexist side by side. And adding Carthage and Sidi Bou Said as part of Grand Tunis, this should be one of the most fascinating cities in the World.

Ironically they have voted for an ultra-conservative sexist, racist, xenephobic and homophobic president, and they get overwhemingly so defensive against whoever dares to criticize him or just for voicing up their opinion on his political system. That's the the so called ''free and progressive'' Tunisia, i can't say that i'm proud to be Tunisian, i'd be lying to myself to say that. Tunisia is anything but a free and diversive country.

Is it permissable and acceptable in Tunisia for a Non-Muslim Caucasian Western Male to marry or be good friends with a non-religious Tunisian Woman, such as the many I see in this video not wearing the Hijab, or is it only permissable and acceptable for Tunisian Men to marry a Western Caucasian Woman? And did you convert to Islam, either by choice or neccessity?

Nice video, Tunis is sadly overlooked compared to the beach cities
If you go to Carthage please visit the baths of Antoninus as well. Its included in the ticket and i found it more interesting than ancient Carthage ruins it self, where all the tourists are. Bit more north is the blue city, a really beauty too
If you want to see more Roman architecture go to el Djem by train. You will find the largest roman amphitheater outside of Italy (its in better shape than the colloseum). Remember to visit the archeological museum, its included in the ticket - but no tourist go here. Only the Bardo in Tunis is more stunning in mosaics (but at el Djem there is a roman villa sentlement in the backyard)
If you want to visit maybe the most important mosque of Northen Africa take a bus to Al-Qayrawan. The city is verry different from Tunis, Sousse and other modern towns
Almost a Southern european vibe you get at Moastir

Kerkouan is more underrated and more interesting than Carthage ruins!! cuz Kerkouan is considered the only punic ruins still existing till this day, on the other hand, Carthage the punic was destroyed and replaced by the Roman one!! and Roman ruins are not really that much interesting tbh

I went to that mosque. They made me and my boyfriends sister wear a scarf. I am American but the man let us in.

it is normal to wear a scarf in a mosque for a woman . There is nothing bad about it , its part of the culture and religion. They didnt make you wear a scarf outside of the mosque.
