I'm no Suvorov, but I think that went pretty darn well. To get the full victory with fewer casualties is always good. Thanks for the battle! I'm from the States, but as you know I've been living overseas for about 15 years. Thanksgiving is the one holiday I can't replicate here for various reasons. However, Thursday 23rd is a national holiday here too. The translation would also be "Thanksgiving", but it's not anything like the one in the States. It's about appreciation for workers. So it's more like Labor Day. I've also taken Friday off. I'll have a 4 day weekend. Hurrah!
A Napoleonic game based on this one would be interesting. As long as they can keep it within the tactics of the period. 7 Years War and A. Revolutionary War would be cool.
Thought, try to keep your batteries at about 12 guns. They are are far far more effective in comparison to full battalions of guns. Other than that, nice flank....I'm going to have to try that.
I've been discussing the battery size in this series over the past several episodes. Can't shrink a battery size once it's bigger than 12 unless you lose them in combat and don't replace them. I've been keeping the new ones at 12.
The History Guy Which is something that drives me nuts! I wish I could shift men around, regiment's were shifted around quite a lot during the war. Mostly in the west, but still.
I think u should of continued with the losses in the first go around in this campaign just feels more legit going at it a second time kinda just defeats the point of going at it with what you got feels like cheating but good work doing better though.
Man what a grinder. Once you take that VP in center they just keep charging on you like a proletarian wave against mg-42's. I couldve saved some of my men if I had fallen a bit behind but meh, we just kept our barrels red hot. 18,6k killed and lost 9,5k of my own, imgur.com/a/cwkkwcL
Henrik Frederiksen I don't know, it would be nice to see a RTS, haven't really played that many Napoleonic games. I mean I want American Revolution, but Napoleonic would be fun.
what i mean is, if you hold the 2 wars up against eachother in regards to amount of games where they are being featured.. Nap wars is way overrepresentet... but odc that is just my personal opinion on the matter, im sooo tired of playing nap war orientated games, and for me the Rev war would be a fresh breath of air...
oh, that is true. that's why I really want American Revolution. I just wouldn't complain because I know they would do it well, and the only Napoleonic game I really ever played was based of the Sid Meirers engine that was used for those Sharpsburg and Gettysburg games, and while good, they weren't great.
this has me thinking about redoing my last engagement. really took the wind out of my sails losing as many men as I did.

Happy Thanksgiving!
It's a shame you ran out of time there. You had McClelland surrounded with his back to the river.
Ty for doing these
yes well done I only tried that tactic once and had forgotten how it worked.
Butterfield, Butterfield..... Butterfiellllldddd

Southern Batteries consisted of 4 guns.
I may have missed it but did you up your supply holdings because you went heavy on guns?
Honestly can't remember but I don't think I changed the supplies any. I always go for the ammo bonus on artillery when i get the first star though.
29:15 "... I feel I'm nocking on heavens door"
Sorry :P
LOL nice.

We really do not need another Napoleonic game, that horse has been beaten to death, no lets see the revolutionary war...instead

For this map I always make two sniper battalions for the cannon on the right flank, works wonders
I'd personally like a game about the Seven Years War
