Winter Concert Primary Complete

In a night filled with enchantment and musical brilliance, Oryx International School hosted its first Winter Concert of the year on November 27th, marking a long-awaited return since the last event in 2019 (pre Covid). The auditorium came alive with the energy and enthusiasm of Year 3, 4, and 5 students who delivered a captivating performance that seamlessly blended music, dance, and humour.
The programme featured a diverse array of performances, starting with the heartfelt choir of Years 4, 5, and 6, singing the soulful "Whisper" by G. Gilpin. The auditorium then reverberated with the rhythmic beats of the percussion ensembles from Years 5 and 4, presenting "Hall of the Mountain King" by E. Grieg and "Song of the Bells" by M. Leontovych, respectively.
The bell ensemble of Year 6 transported the audience to the lively streets of Brazil with "Rio Samba" by R. Zenker, A. Moreira, and G. Engels, while the Year 4 percussion ensemble mesmerised with their rendition of "Almost There" by R. Newman.
The talented soloists also took centre stage, with Dia S delivering a perfect rendition of A. Beck's "Hot Chocolate," Noah F captured hearts with "I'm Yours" by B. Mars, and Maria A charmed the audience with "Dance of the Sugarplum Fairy" by P. I. Tchaikovsky.
