    You can also dust a mold with mica powders or glitter and then squirt the glue in. It will adhere the mica powder. Use a paint brush to apply the powder evenly to the mold.

    You can buy glue sticks that are already in colors and some with glitter. That way you can skip painting them if you want or at least use it as the base color.

    If you store your glue sticks in the freezer, it cuts WAY down on those annoying strings you mentioned ;) It does NOT affect the glue either, I read this tip YEARSSSS ago in a blog I cant remember and is now long gone sadly, but I store every type of glue stick in the freezer and Ill take a few out at a time or Ill take one right from the freezer to the glue gun and it still works like normal. It doesnt affect the glue itself either. Ive even used this trick with SUPER OLD glue sticks I got at the thrift shop I volunteer at bc they were going to toss them...but I wanted to see if this trick would work on even super old stringy gooey glue sticks and sure enough it did! Lol! They were gross before I froze them, but worked fine after! I didnt keep them though bc the glue was actually yellowed, lol!
    My fav trick I learned and love to pass on bc Ive never heard anyone else mention it...and I store my fabric and glitter or colored sticks in the freezer too! My bf even tried it with his industrial glue gun sticks that are HUGE and yep, worked great with those too! Hope it helps you as well!

    Oh wow! Never new this would work with hot glue! I have spent a lot of money on a variety of resins from Reynolds plastics, which are very pricey, where the glue gun molded items would work just as well!

    What was the name of the black frosted paint you used to paint the wing?

    • @karashea7823
      @karashea7823 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      shawna ferguson I had to listen and relisten and try to enlarge the image. Finally got it “Finnabair” is the name!
      Looks like Prima-Finnair-Metallique are words to search on Amazon for both the paint and the wax.
      She must be working for Prima as the paper clay, molds, paints and waxes are all from Prima marketing. I use the wax. Nice. Prob get it at any craft hobby store. I’d like to get those paints too. I only have acrylic and chalk which is very matte and dry. That looks smooth and glossy! Guess we’ll have to order as I don’t think Michaels, Jo-Ann’s or Hobby Lobby are considered essential businesses. Hopefully soon!

    CAN YOU USE THE MOLDS FOR EDIBLE THINGS AFTER USING HOT GLUE IN THE MOLDS ?

    • @ScrapTimeVideos
      @ScrapTimeVideos  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      If your glue is non-toxic, possibly, but I would recommend having molds for crafting and separate molds for food.

    This is a great idea, but I have a question... how do you avoid little bubbles in the mold after you have put the glue into the mold? I tried this several times, but ended up with little pocks in the cooled pieces. I tried to POP them, but that just made it worse. I also used my heat gun to help smooth the glue out, and that was fine, but I could not pop the bubbles. Anybody got any answers for me?

    • @lindawarren2479
      @lindawarren2479 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I believe you need to have your glue gun very hot, so the glue is almost liquid coming out. As in the video.

    • @dianaramsey8072
      @dianaramsey8072 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@lindawarren2479 Thank you. I though it WAS hot enough, but I may have been too anxious to try this idea, and the glue may not have been hot enough..

    • @ScrapTimeVideos
