    Hi Matt, I see that you are adjusting the red bus faders. When might it be appropriate to adjust those vs. the gain knobs on the main mixer. And when should you adjust either of those vs. adjusting the actual volume of the instrument? I just want to understand the differences to make best choices when it comes to volume adjusting. Thanks!

      With any element, you need to hear it and then adjust it to what you want that element to sound like in the mix.

    I think i get it about you 'actually' having to drop a maximizer limiter on the master channel. With REason 9 it comes with a Default Mastering Suite with the Maximizer already in the signal chain.

    Hey man, thanks for sharing this great content. I noticed that when you are working on a sound (sculpting) you always do it without soloing them, you always leave the other sounds on. Is there a tecnical reason for that or is it just a matter of taste and your way of working?
    Thanks again.

      When mixing in the series I do solo when I want to be able hear a sound or a number of sounds together. Other than that mixing is all about getting all the elements of a song to work together and have great separation so most of mixing is done when hearing the tracks in the context of the mix.

    Is there a difference in mixing for different genres. I am more of a hip hop based producer

    • @LearnReason
      @LearnReason  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      William Harris Each genre has some of its own character differences but in saying that you still need to know the fundementels of how to mix them.
