Thank you for being the realistic car reviewer that you are! I'm a couple yrs older but you relate with me more than most TH-camrs, car and moto and mtb vloggers.
Hey Joe, love how when reviewing, you take the time in the back seats to really show us the size. Most of us that watch these pickup truck and suv videos have small children and we always wonder how comfy it will be for the children. Best car reviewer in the world, props to you Joe.
Frontier + V6 = Bulletproof But please, Nissan should get rid of those tacky letters below the screen spelling FRONTIER. Like you need to be reminded of what you bought, lol. They could have done it tastefully and not so gaudy, at least.
After owning 4 Tacomas and a Hilux over the last 22 years, this Frontier will be my next truck. In fact, this exact trim (SL) with the 6' bed. I love the old school vibe and overall simplicity. My only 'zonk' is the hydraulic steering (but by no means a dealbreaker). Great review as usual!
25 Frontier Pro4x Kingcab will likely be my next vehicle. Not specifically because of the v6. It's about the 6 ft bed/xtended cab. Also, it's the best looking truck in the segment!
I love this very well developed and refined V6 Frontier!!! And the 3.8 L is a SOLID engine. No need for Turbo. It will last for a very long time. Also, remember the V6 in the GTR is a 3.8 also. I would probably go for the Pro 4X 4X4 though. Thanks to Nissan for not eliminating this V6. I bet the turning radius is far better in the short bed.
I have been looking at all manufacturer options in the midsize truck market and the reliability within this segment and so far Nissan Frontier in my opinion is leading the way in build Quality , Price, Reliability , engineering aspects of truck. So I am wanting the long bed to and I am sure if I fill it with dirt, rocks or whatever it should get the job done. Good review , I would have like to see you turn in circles and park in parking spots but I can test drive one and do that.
Im a bare bones guy.. recently bought a 22 frontier s. Steel wheels even. Lol. But its a v6 has 4x4, 4 doors and can tow my bike. Its the newest vehicle I've ever owned so its a spaceship to me. I'm super happy with it! Without all the crazy engine tech i expect it to last a good long time. Only thing i didnt expect was it didnt have adjustable side mirrors... I literally have to press on the mirror with my thumb. Talk about old school lol. Its minor to me but somewhat suprising on such a new vehicle with backup cameras and dricing sensors. But thank you for your reviews. Been watching and 👍 for years
Another great video. I currently have a 2022 pro4x. I love my truck just as much as I did when I first purchased it back in 2021. I have had 0 issues with it. The Nissan Frontier is definitely a great truck.
I would’ve never guessed I’d leave Toyota til now. Just bought a new loaded 24 Frontier Pro4X. Love it. It’s old school with just enough new tech and it all just flows and is comfortable. But I don’t notice a problem with the turning radius, maybe it’s cause you have the crew cab long bed
Hell yeah joe! I hope nissan continues to build this like it is now especially with the v6. The ranger is a generic version of ugly. The gmc/chevy has a turbo 4 banger that also has auto start/stop and…that cylinder deactivation that has proven to be nothing but trash, and the toyota is too dam expensive. I would take this frontier over any of the other midsize. Thanks Joe
There great trucks , I have a 2023 sv 4x4 with all available packages for that year and it's been great so far , I don't drive off road so a pro4x for me would be over kill , plus I'm averaging 21.7 mpg on the original Michelins I've heard the pro4x is a bit more hard on the gas mileage getting 17 , 19 mpg average, my opinion if you want a mid size truck that's still a truck I recommend it . The turning radius bs is just that bs , once you drive it for a few days you get used to the dimensions and you don't even notice it . BTW mines the same blue color it looks better in person than on screen .
I have this exact truck except in Gun Metalic color. I love it and agree with most of your observations. The turning radius does suck, but you get used to it. I don't agree with your complaint about the camera resolution. It doesn't seem bad to me - it's good enough to see where you are going and see any obstacles. I don't really need a 4K view to do the job. I'm a former Tacoma owner, but I went with the Frontier exactly for the long bed and naturally aspirated V6.
I own a 2023 Frontier which is essentially the same truck. I love it. It's a TRUCK. Not a crossover with a bed. I've owned two Ridgelines and they are excellent. More truck than most people need. But the Frontier is an old school truck. It feels rough, rugged, and well built. The V6 is smooth and powerful. The transmission works well. I really enjoy it. The heavy weighted old school hydraulic steering. The ease of maintenance. You can work on it yourself with basic tools. If you want a technology toy that can get you places...skip the Frontier. If you want an old school tough truck...this is it. There is no competition if you're looking for an honest, analog feeling, old school, tried and true truck.
Leased a 2023 Frontier King cab S in 2022 and just started a new Lease on a 2024 King cab SV. $250 a month for 2 years. Nissan has some of the cheapest Lease deals for their trucks. The truck itself is good. My absolute biggest bitch are those stupid handles they put on the center console, by the gear shift. I have a bad right knee and that stupid handle hits the ONE spot that drives me nuts. Other than that, Its a great truck and it getting more and more aftermarket support, especially from Z1 Offroad!
Hello Joe, loving this Nissan Frontier & the blue looks good. I love the Fake corner Fender vents & I am going to reiterarte It, It kinda gives It style as to a boring blue Fenders. I understand Why the top of the door panel Is hard plastic, because 1, It Is supposed to be durable & 2, this truck isn't meant to be lixurious & therefore not adding Fancy doors would be More expensive. Plz reply.
This is a sweet spot truck for the money. Yes it’s archaic and behind the times of the competition but hey it’s a truck after all. First time truck buyers should be rejoicing.
I'm a Nissan guy since the 90s with my B13, still have it. looking forward with the future with honda. we might see a Ridgeline with the VR35DE or the VR38DE in the future.
Love that color blue, reminds me of the color of a huffy bmx bike I had back in 1980. The truck doesn't seem to have the metallic flakes, big zonk..but it's a sharp color.
The main reason I think the Frontier is now leading the pack is that 6 ft bed, it's practical and useful. Only question what will the support system be in the next 2,5, and 10 years? Will there be dealer networks and other networks to source repair parts?
I’m a Toyota guy but I must agree, Nissan Frontier is the way to go. Turbos 4 cylinder and even the hybrid is suspect. Sorry Toyota but you won’t win this debate on the V6 vs Turbo engines
I'm seriously considering one of these, though my local dealer has a 2024 pro4x leftover that's more in my price range. My old neighbor had a frontier and a hardbody(?) And one day we were talking and I mentioned something about having two trucks that I thought were about 20 years apart, and he said they were only 1 year different 96 and 97! Blew my mind lol
if that 2024 has all the amenities you desire and it passes your test drive... threaten to buy it minus dealer addons and maybe 7-10% off msrp/advertised price. you probably won't get that deal immediately, but assuming that truck doesn't move in the next week or two you'll probably be receiving a call.
Either the Frontier or the Honda Ridgeline for me. Both have certain advantages and/or disadvantages over the other. Not crazy about the cylinder deactivation in the Ridgeline so I may go with this vehicle.
I was debating between the two V6's left, the Frontier and the Ridgeline. I ended up getting a Ridgeline Trailsport because of the comfortable ride, backseats room, and storage.
7:29 the reciever is bolted to the chassis.. anyone considering a tacoma needs to know its welded into the chassis on the 4th gen.. a small rear end will tweak the frame.. good luck with the insurance adjuster
I don't think so on the 2025. The Car Guy Online does a lot of under car shots and it looks like the hitch setup on the 2025 is the same as the Tacoma now.
Hi Joe, My 1 question i have is why wouldn't Nissan carry over the Bose stero over to the Nissn Frontier like they have in the Rogue? That's a stero, Joe it just sings when you crank it up or just keep low. The Fender isn't no Bose. I'm a Nissan Fan had 3 Trucks 1989,1993,2005. You just knock it out of the Park!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤. Hey Joe, Excellent review! I got 2 things; You mentioned the Fender Audio system, but didn’t say how it SOUNDS?? Also, you don’t really eat all that junk food you’re always talking about, do you?..🤨😬👍❤️
Got the 2025 pro4x long bed. Truck is sick! Toyota is asking more for a 4 cylinder, doesn’t seem right. The gas mileage on the 4 cylinder turbos isn’t even that much better than the frontier
i don't if you kmow but you say some of the funniest things without knowing you said something funny. i grew up in NYC 1983 to 2007 and you got the New York accent
Maybe the 2026 Frontier will have good camera quality. But for a bit under 50K, this truck is pretty great I’m ngl. And I think that Tundra TRD really wanted to race 😭💙
Not sure if i heard you talk about it Joe, the steering weight. I use to sell these and the steering at low speed is CUMBERSOME. Not sure if this is still a thing or if they updated to electric assisted steering? Otherwise these trucks rock.
The only thing holding me back on getting one of these is the really rrally poor turning radious. (It would be a daily driver, grocery getter, occasional big box store hauler, etc) Love everything else.
I’m not a Nissan man this this is the best mid sized truck right now. I’m glad they stuck with simplicity
It is crazy how the tables have turned!
Yes. Affordability and relability is all you need in a mid size truck
Agreed.
You get neither of those with this japcrap.
@shaniyoung6506 Neither of which would describe this truck.
@@steve8803 ?
@@steve8803how so?
V6 and 6ft bed? This is a true mid-size pickup truck!
Frontier is the old school Taco for Nissan
I'll take the v6 even being a toyota guy
Yea same
So true
Sad to say but sane
That's exactly what I did and have no regrets so far. Its a solid truck and everything works as it should.
No fing way.
Frontier is a fantastic vehicle
I have the sv v6 with 6ft bed. It's great! No complaints so far. 23k miles in
I like it! No turbos, no problem.
I got an F 150 with the natural aspirated V6 . 150 000 km, still going strong!
I would be looking at this if I needed a midsize truck. It’s a nice truck V6 !
We all need a V6 midsize truck at one point. I think I might buy one as an all around only car. Commuter and the occasional furniture moving trips.
I'm diggin' these New Nissan Frontier trucks ...
Thank you for being the realistic car reviewer that you are! I'm a couple yrs older but you relate with me more than most TH-camrs, car and moto and mtb vloggers.
That is so wonderful of you to say! I appreciate you taking the time to say that!
Picking up my 2025 Pro 4X tomorrow. Nice review Joe.
Congratulations!!!!
Nice
Congrats. I got my 25 pro4x w/6ft bed in november. I love it and think you will love yours too!
I would pick this midsize pickup over all others currently. Nice looking as well. 😊
Nissan always puts out a great vehicle...great video Joe
310 horsepower out of a naturally aspirated V6?! Hell yes!!! 310 horsepower is all you need!!
Hey Joe, love how when reviewing, you take the time in the back seats to really show us the size. Most of us that watch these pickup truck and suv videos have small children and we always wonder how comfy it will be for the children. Best car reviewer in the world, props to you Joe.

But please, Nissan should get rid of those tacky letters below the screen spelling FRONTIER. Like you need to be reminded of what you bought, lol. They could have done it tastefully and not so gaudy, at least.
Agree the FRONTIER lettering is not good.
It's there to remind previous Tacoma owners. Lol. '25 Tacoma has Toyota on passenger side as well. Smh.
take a chil pill bud
It's not in gold or glitter 😅😅
My dream truck. Thanks Joe.
I’m here for Joe’s review and subsequent commentary he’s the best. Don’t really care about the truck.
That means that world! Thanks for having my back!
They have the pro4x with a 6ft Ed now too! My 22 pro4x would be perfect if it had that. But I'm still happy with mine.
hydraulic steering is old school though.. you can actually feel the road as opposed to electric steering.
Nissan is total junk. Garbage from front to back.
@@freedomruss why do you say that? Please explain in detail.
@@anthony445has nothing to do with road feel. It’s more difficult to turn is about it.
That is not a bad truck, not a Nissan fan but this midsized with V6 is pretty nice.
Great review, I really like it. It's really the perfect mix between old school and new school and I love the blue color.
Hard to pick both seem great. Your killin it Joe!
Best truck ever.
Love the integrated touchscreen
25 Frontier Pro4x Kingcab will likely be my next vehicle. Not specifically because of the v6. It's about the 6 ft bed/xtended cab.

I thought they only made the Pro 4X in a quad cab?
@@joescott1377You can get the Pro4X KC in Canada.
I feel like Nissan is becoming my favorite car brand, meaning Toyota will no longer be one of my favorites, but still like them.
Having a v6 engine was a major factor when I bought my ‘24 pro4x . I have absolutely no regrets with the truck
I love this very well developed and refined V6 Frontier!!! And the 3.8 L is a SOLID engine. No need for Turbo. It will last for a very long time. Also, remember the V6 in the GTR is a 3.8 also. The size you refer to as smaller midsized is what a full size used to be thirty years ago. Now full size is gigantic!
Hell yeah joe! I hope nissan continues to build this like it is now especially with the v6.

They made a bigger screen i guess but they only use a little more than half the screen i give u a zonk for not mentioning it.
Saw a comment on another review stating that you can change to full screen view in the settings menu
with car play and android auto the entire screen is used
29:11 Joe is drag racing vs a 2023 Tundra Trd Pro 😂😂😂
A switch for heated seat is great coz it can be started with a remote with heated seat on unlike other cars and trucks with buttons.

FRONTIER NAME LOOKS GOOD NOT BAD AT ALL V6 WITH 6 FOOT BED WOW 💙💙
What do you mean the last of the v6 powered trucks?
Yeah but Joe, think about it, the beige headliner breaks up all that black in the interior, I like the 2 tone.
You're so funny, I love watching your reviews
You hit all the points I wanted to know, Joe! Only if they made compact pickup that gets better MPG that I can daily.
The main reason I think the Frontier is now leading the pack is that 6 ft bed, it's practical and useful. Only question what will the support system be in the next 2,5, and 10 years? Will there be dealer networks and other networks to source repair parts?
If I wanted something only for driving/personal use I’d go for the Tacoma, Frontier if I wanted the truck for work.
Drive aTacoma and tell me you would still feel that way just saying four-cylinder turbo mid $50,000. I don’t think so.
Nissan needs to add a automatic rear window opener like ford did
I’m a Toyota guy but I must agree, Nissan Frontier is the way to go. Turbos 4 cylinder and even the hybrid is suspect. Sorry Toyota but you won’t win this debate on the V6 vs Turbo engines
Joe, it looks like the Nissan Frontier wants to become an elite top-tier naturally aspirated truck.
How is the sound system?
I love it! Hopefully, by next month, I will have my 2025 Nissan Frontier Pro4x.
Great truck but I also will never understand why any of these companies do fake vents…just why???

@grizzly311tr thanks! We'll see what happens when I go for a test drive on monday
Either the Frontier or the Honda Ridgeline for me. Both have certain advantages and/or disadvantages over the other. Not crazy about the cylinder deactivation in the Ridgeline so I may go with this vehicle.
I like your thinking!
I was debating between the two V6's left, the Frontier and the Ridgeline. I ended up getting a Ridgeline Trailsport because of the comfortable ride, backseats room, and storage.
If the mid climate control stack and door panels were updated, it would be perfect.
7:29 the reciever is bolted to the chassis.. anyone considering a tacoma needs to know its welded into the chassis on the 4th gen.. a small rear end will tweak the frame.. good luck with the insurance adjuster
