    You’re a lifesaver bro! The snaps on my favorite hat broke and I was afraid I wouldn’t be able to fix it. Thanks!!

    can you list the tools you used besides the sewing machine? I have an ace hardware craftsman hat that belonged to my grandpa, the snap backs in the rear broke, and I would love to try and fix by hand if I could?

    is there a way i can do something like this to make my snapback fit smaller? i am having the problem of the plastic snapback part overlapping because the hat is one notch too big even on its last hole.

    Mind me asking, do u need a specific needle to penetrate that hard plastic strap? It might broke the needle or worse, will damage the machine

    • @danymajr
      @danymajr 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Surprisingly it just pierces right through the plastic. Just make sure the needle on the machine is installed correctly, typically the grooves of the needle has to face the proper way and that depends on the machine.

      @@danymajrdepends on the plastic, broke the tip of my needle right off

    • @danymajr
      @danymajr ปีที่แล้ว

      @@nicklausedmiston2354 You can use an ordinary sewing needle for thin plastic and vinyl sewing. But for thicker vinyl use denim sewing needles or Sewing machine needle no 16. Do not use leather sewing needles as it will tear into the material. -Google

    So the clawbak thing isn't showing up on ebay.... are there any other tools i can use, to remove a snap fastener piece on a hat? Or what tools are required? Would definitely help me.... in the long run

    How does one go about finding longer straps to put on to make the hat fit looser?

    • @danymajr
      @danymajr 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hmmm We had an opportunity to make longer ones, but the recent Pandemic kinda thwarted that. I'm hoping we can do something this year to help the industry out. No promises though. :/

    I'm guessing this isn't very easy to do by hand is it?
    I cant imagine pushing the needle through the plastic so easily.

    This is why i avoid hats with plastic snap backs 😂 they're bad for people who likes to keep things for years because of plastic dry rot
