Damn, this is a trip down memory lane. Used to love this game as a kid.
Still remember my silver GBA
Randomly met someone in my class with the same game and we became friends
+Alex Taylor No you're most certainly not a 90's kid. but maybe you experienced alot of 90's games... who knowsss
+Louis Caprani I played the shit out of nineties games.
This was my childhood, just bought the game and I'm ready to make more memories 😭😭
The Phenomenal King sameeeee
The Phenomenal King is a amazing game
The music in this game tho...lol
😂 it's ridiclious lmao
They took the GBC game's music and changed it up a bit. It doesn't sound really good.
The GBC is the original and much superior
I love this damn music lol
The Game Boy Colour version was my obsession for the longest time, then I got this as my first GBA game and let me tell you, no 9 year old child should ever feel that level of disappointment
I grew up playing this game man... old memories.. damn it!!
Oh god the childhood is coming back to me!
Damn, the memories. I can still remember how I used to play this in my NDS
wow 5 minutes in and he's already exploring the molten core of the earth, this looks leagues more interesting than the Sorcerer's Stone GBA game that I had
I can really see the charm in this. It's got all the classic old video game tropes but there at scars instead of hearts, you use 'remembralls' as save points, and you pick up cauldron cakes instead of a loaf of bread. Only wish the graphics weren't so wonky. If it was remade it would probably be fantastic :)
Btw remembralls, in the HP movie, help you remember things you've forgot, neville longbottom had a remembrall.
That flipendo charge sound though, like an eargasm!
i remember playing this on my gameboy when i was a kid, i really dont know what to do in this game XD
I was stuck for awhile myself. Then one day I picked up the game and started playing it again and completed the game. Remind I am a Pokemon trainer. So I had other things to do.
Same, i gave up :P
Ok I thought I was the only one who didn’t know what the heck to do lmao I think I was stuck in the bank area been a long time since I’ve played
THE MEMORIES ARE RUSHING BACK AT THE SPEED OF SOUND!
I have never got past this bit haha
Hi5
Lol me neither until I got much older in middle School
This is my memory 😢
That menu screen music brings back so many memories!
SO MANY MEMORIES!!!! AAAAAAH I CANT TAKE IT *head explodes*
My first GBA game, I loved it, but I think the GBC version is the best. Still has a lot of memories, I wish I never lost it.
The wave of nostalgia
I would complete this game at least two times a day! Damn, this brings me back!!!
I used to play this on my brother's gameboy when I was about 4-5 years old. Miss this game so much
That theme when you go into Gringotts vault or Hagrids house is so relaxing
This takes me back. Christmas 2002, finally getting the GBA, the Super Mario Advance 2: Super Mario World Bundle, my folks also getting me this game. It was a few years until I decided to beat it, and I forgot to save when I did. I never got around to doing it again, and sometimes I wish to find a rom of this and do it again. Only sometimes though. It was a decent game for GBA, after all.
I was on the development team for this, ahh memories.
SO MANY MEMORIES! so good!
I love this game so much! Beat it multiple times. Much better than the GBC version, in my opinion!
gosh this game was great. got stolen when I traveled abroad :-(
this brings back memories this whas my first GBA game and the music in the game is pretty good too
this was my 2nd GBA game...
Brings back memories from the christmas I got this years ago! Crikey!
Those were the days...
Love this so much...
the memoriesssssss
My game didn't have a safe feature for some reason so i stayed up all night just to finish it. Beautiful it was ❤
Harry jumping was the funniest thing in the game for sure
I miss this game sooo much even if the graphic wasn’t good that time still want to play it
stril missing the game forever
it is? ive been thinking about buying that to, does it let us explore outside and inside of galtvort?
Did you have the second half of this video I can't find the last thing
I never knew how to get Alohamora :(
Please show the fifth gemstone in it please.........
Use to play this all the time when I was really young , never realized that this was just the first level and I never got passed this stage ... lmao
Do they have the Bonus Beans room in this one?
I used to play this game.
They missed a couple of hidden sections in the vaults section.
How can I get the las spell?
What is the actual name to this I had it when I was younger now I want to find another one
Ahhh I rember getting this game together with the original GBA when i became 8.
This game was so above average when it came out
I enjoyed this game alot when i was younger
aaaaahhhh the memories
Loved the GBC game.
I'd say what makes this game most unique is how empty it feels. You never see any students roaming the castle with the exception of prefects. In the three classes Harry attends, one of them he attends solo (Flying Lesson) and the other two (Charms and Transfiguration) Hermione is his only classmate. Even the Professors are pretty sparse. Only McGonagall and Flitwick have permanent spots in the game (in their respective classrooms). The other Professors only make brief appearances in a few levels. It's funny though, as I type I realize Goblet of Fire had far fewer characters, but since the game never centered on Hogwarts it made since that there were no other classmates with Harry in the Forest or bowels of the Prefects Bathroom.
Here's some pros and cons for the game:
Pros:
-A mostly explorable Hogwarts, and one you can explore whenever you like [ rather then having your location being determined by what part of the game you are in (like GBA Sorceror's Stone)]
-a good mix between puzzle solving/collecting things, action/fighting, and stealth. This keeps the game from getting too boring.
-Cool additions to the main game, like wizard cards, owl scrolls, potions, and dungbombs/luminous balloons/stink pellets.
-tolerable graphics given when it came out
Cons:
-A very lonely Hogwarts, which makes the game feel less realistic plus depressing (see my above paragraph for more)
-A somewhat disappointing/short climax. The only interesting part is a quick battle against several snakes, and then the basilisk and then the games over
-It would have been nice to have more classes
Also for fun, here's a couple interesting differences between the book and the game that I noticed:
-Gilderoy Lockhart's role is immensely reduced. He is never revealed to be a fraud, nor does he follow Harry and Ron into the chamber or try to wipe their memory. He also doesn't teach a single class to Harry.
-Hermione gets petrified basically right before Harry enters the chamber, rather then being petrified before Harry enters the forbidden forest.
-Gryffindors sword is absent, as is Harry defeating the Basilisk by stabbing it (he uses spells instead). This obviously creates a problem later on because we know Gryffindors sword only destroys horcruxes because Harry stabbed the basilisk with it
-What I can assume is the marauders map (I don't recall the map being stated as such, but it seems to bear a strong resemblance to it) appears here, when in the books the map doesn't appear till the third book
-Only Harry interrogates Malfoy in the Slytherin common room and also only Harry talks to Aragog in the forest, while Ron is with him for both in the books
-I know there's more, I might come back and update later
My overall rating: 4/5. I'd definitely recommend it
strange that we didnt meet hagrid like in the movies in the console version
I personally prefer the GBC version
I think I may have spent 2 years of my life as a kid trying to get past the 2nd level
would you say it is a good gba game? its strange, im not a big fan of the movies, except the first two and I really enjoyed each game version of the second one, which is my favorite. so i thought why not get it for the gba aswell...would you say its worth playing?
This was my first Gameboy Game :)
Sitting with this right now. Awesome game! :D
Soundboards of the game?
oh the nostalgia
Made me remember when i was kid 😔
Whats the name of the soundtrack in 4:20?
I own this I do not rember that intro.
@subscriber44 its chamber of secrets on the gb
whoa totally unlike the other version
I remember this! Im going to get it on my PSP

(sigh) I remember this game when I played it. It was so fun but challenging at the same time. I could get an emulator right now and relive my memories. :)

The graphics are epic!!
wow the memories
My first Harry Potter game ever! And in japanese xDD
wheres the rpg style i dint remebered it like that
nostalgia!
What did you use to record this? The quality is excellent!
gamecube
you can rebind them, i think
this game was so much fun lmao
All I can say is that I have a love hate relationship with this game... IT'S TOO DAMN HARD FOR A CHILD COMPREHENSION! I get to hogwarts after years of playing the first goddamned level... and then I don't know where the fuck to go or what the fuck to do... God... I got through Prince of Persia faster...
I guess you're stupid, because at 4 years old I could beat it.
Nice of you to send pointless insulting comments sir.
Again, nice of people to send pointless insults. It just goes to show how much time you have in your life to call someone retarded who had trouble with one game. Honestly...most gamers of today's society are just straight up brutally angry and mean all the time, the words compassion and understanding no longer exist.
Xero Remnant that was the same with me I could do the gringotts then I was clueless afterwards
beat this game at least 20 times back in the day I know I'm not the only one lol
I had the GBC version and PC versions of this game I think they were the best
I got the original GBA slot card thing, and now I'm gunna find it somewhere on the net to get it :D
There is one secret missed so far.
Must be thinking of the GBC version.
memories oh i need a gba now...
i still remember the smell of the packaging, but i dont remember what harry potter game was..
My childhood
@subscriber44 yhh pretty sure i played the same game its the gameboy colour version
Used to have this. Dont remember why but it was fun.
I loved this game!! I think it is the only game I managed to beat and fully complete!! But I spent hours on it... Good times
first gameboy game, and first game in general I ever owned.
Old timeees :3!!!
I'm so going to buy this
Can’t belive I’m saying this but the GBC version is wayyy better.
one of first gba games i got.
@crazywelshkid this and Super Mario Advanced 2 were my 1st GBA games
Nostalgia
