  • If you are thinking about ordering beef from 6666 Ranch Brand Beef, guys you are going to want to watch this video first. I went to 6666steak.com and ordered a couple of ribeyes from the 6666's website. They promptly sent out my order and it arrived a day late. I think that was a problem with Fedex. Fedex had put the box into a plastic bag and the cardboard box was wet and tearing open. I contacted 6666 Ranch Brand Beef and they promptly sent our another package. It arrived in a couple of days and it was damp and tearing open also. I really think that the Texas heat had allot to do with it and it shipping from Georgia. The other problem lies with the 6666 Ranch Brand Beef packaging. The box is lined with a fiberous insulation and I do not think that is good enough for the Texas summer heat. Now to make a long story even longer. The steaks in the second box were tremendous and they were frozen hard despite the box starting to thaw. Customer service was excellent and easy to deal with and the steaks were well worth the wait and the price. If you are a Yellowstone fan you may want to order some beef from 6666 Ranch Brand Beef. I ordered a sampler package from the 6666s and my shipment arrived in good condition. The beef is the best I’ve ever had. The beef tips were absolutely amazing. I typically do beef tips/stew beef in a crock pot overnight to help tenderize, but the batch from the 6666s was browned and simmered for an hour or so and melted in my mouth. The medallions were great as well. I will purchase from them again.

      Great to hear. I have a few more 6666 ranch cuts of meat to post up. I also have a Texas Beef playlist from different ranches around the state you may be interested in.

    You cooked the steak perfectly, looks really good. Aside from the shipping issues I would not spend that much for a frozen choice steak. I can pick up a really good fresh prime ribeye from my local HEB for a fraction of the price.

      Totally understand that. This was for the experience and I promise you I have blown money on worse. lol That might be a video, HEB vs the 6666. Thanks for watching.

    makes me nervous to try them. we have equal heat and I have NEVER had these issues with either Snake River or WIldfork. Even with the box sitting out all afternoon. Shipped with both FedEx and UPS. Another thing that jumped out at me on their website... Product of the USA* *The beef cattle used in the Four Sixes Beef program have spent 100 days, at minimum, in the USA prior to harvest. This seems like a HUGE red flag to me.

    • @TexasStyleCuisine
      @TexasStyleCuisine  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I really do not think that the not from the USA is a red flag. I know good beef that is raised in Mexico and brought here and finished. Some of those west Texas ranches do that. South America does have cattle programs that have quality. Now would I rather have beef that I know about? I think so. I know when I order from chapman 3C or the People's Beef, Moorhouse ranch, or Evridge Farms they are raised here in Texas and processed here. I have no complaints about the 6666 beef I have tried. But like you pointed out in the USA for 100 days is all we know. The heat was extreme this summer, so I wanted to point out some of the issues I cam across. Thanks for watching.

      Thanks buddy, I bet our orders were shipped from the same place. Mine was shipped out of Georgia, so that is an extra day or so to get it here. They are supposed to ship me out one of their sample packs, so I guess it was worth the screw ups. I have got the notice that my order is ready and I will be notifed when shipped. I figure this week I will get the notice that it is shipping. totally enjoyed all your videos.

    Wow, what a hassle with the delivery! Like you suggested, I have had better luck with styrofoam containers except for one time. One Christmas, we had a friend to send us an order from Omaha Steaks........was shipped in a styrofoam container. The only problem, we were out of town for the holidays, did not know the gift was coming and it sat on the porch for almost 2 weeks! Omaha Steak promptly replaced the order! Stay cool!

    The packaging looked pretty rough. What were they doing to it when they shipped it? The steak turned out great. Thanks to all our farmers and rachers for helping to feed us. I do hope it cools off for you in Texas. Cheers, Chef Johnny! 👍🏻👍🏻✌️

    Ordered the Rib Eye's and understand now why Taylor Sheridan is a millionaire. Extremely expensive and great for a breakfast steak because it's pretty small. Thickness was thin, I mean pretty much a steak and eggs size. Go to the butcher at HEB and you'll do better for less money. You get a really nice thermos bag that I didn't ask for so I guess that's supposed to ease your wallet pain. One and done. Live and learn.

      Understand that, I have a few Texas ranches I have cooked meat from and they are Al pricey. I think if it as a special occasion steak. The Peoples Beef has an excellent ribeye and it is thicker, so is Chapman Cattle Company. I like me a nice thick steak. Evridge Farms has excellent meat also. I have not tried their ribeyes, but their fillets and brisket was excellent. The sell Texas raised akaushi, not cheap either. But you are correct it’s pretty easy to go down to HEB and grab an excellent steak. Thanks for watching and check out some of my other Texas raised beef videos.

    Chef Johnny's Texas Style BBQ and Cuisine would you recommend ordering beef from 6666 Ranch?

    • @TexasStyleCuisine
      @TexasStyleCuisine  2 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I got some excellent beef from them. But I would also look at The People’s Beef or Chapman 3 C Cattle. The best steak I have ever grilled came from The People’s Beef, The Moorhouse Ranch. All the meat from those two ranches are raised on the family ranch. At the 6s they only say their beef has been in the country for 100 days. But all 3 are excellent. I also have a grass feed beef company I work with called Mesquite Country Beef it is good, but has a different taste since it is not grain finished. I also work with an akaushi beef ranch in West Texas, called Evridge Farms they have some excellent beef also. Which ever way you go an excellent steak is in your future and please tell them Chef Johnny sent ya.

      I hope it does Bob. I have a package coming in this week. A piece offering for the first screw ups. Not sure on cabrito in central Texas. I would check Mexican markets. You can find halal markets but I stay always from halal foods.

    Sorry but I have have a problem with in the country for at least 100 days was it sent you of country at anytime if not the verbage needs to be changed to with in the United States only have worked as a stock person and seen the labeling on the case's from other countries?

    • @TexasStyleCuisine
      @TexasStyleCuisine  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The meat was shipped to me out of Georgia. I was told they have different processors they use in different areas of the USA. So all meat is slaughtered and processed in the USA. It says in country for at least 100 days before processing on the brochure that comes in the box. I am not sure of the volume they sell on the show it says 8 million pounds. That sounds like a hole bunch of meat. Not sure it is that much, but if I it I can understand them having to go other places to get that much beef. Now the customer service lady I spoke with said that most of their meat comes from Texas. Thanks so much for watching. I will have a 6666s vs Moorhouse ranch in a couple of weeks. So look for that one.
