Ive had Above and Below in my collection for quite some time but only just gotten it to the table. After a 2 player then a 4 player game it has become one of our main choices when considering what to play, on the back of that success, and in true board game hobbyist fashion, i have just ordered Near & Far lol. great comparison video.
Thank you for the comparison video. My girlfriend rented Above & Below last week from a local game store, and we had fun playing a few times. Definitely curious now to check out the others in the series.
My wife and I love the Azrium world; nearly all are in out top10 games. Above and Below is one of our introductory games into the hobby. Near and Far is my favorite, but just barely, and Now or Never is my wife's favorite. We also have Islebound, City of Iron, Crystal Miners and Roam all from the Azrium world.... If you look up the BGG files for Now or Never youll see a file i created for custom boxes for Now or Never to help minimize that setup and Tear down mess you mentioned in this video lol
Islebound is the other one that we most want to try. I love Zelda: Windwaker so I am also interested in islands. Also we'll look for your insert. That sounds very helpful. Thanks!
Don’t forget city of iron was the first official game in the world of Arzium. Then there’s also Roam and Islebound. Not to mention creature caravan coming out this year. Roam is even shorter and easier than above and below. And city of iron is a deck building game.
Yep. You just use the arcade deck instead of the storybook and it works really well. However, I started exactly the same way and ended up playing through just about every story, so don't be surprised if you end up campaigning after all.

You are in for a treat. Above and Below is great, but Near and Far is still my favourite Red Raven game.

If you like Above and Below you will love Near and Far.
Very good comparison! Well done!
I don't have any of the three games, but I am considering buying all of them :)
Keep up the good work!
Thank you! They are all good for different reasons, but I would suggest trying Near and Far first.
@@AlliesorEnemies thanks for the suggestion!

We didn't realize those were also in Arzium. That definitely makes them even more interesting. Thanks for the heads up!
Now or Never = Full-brain game. Perfectly said.
Thanks for the review! Would you recommend Near and Far if we don't want to do the campaign and just do 1 off games?

I sometimes wonder if people use "exponentially" as hyperbole
Have you tried deep vents?
The one I recommend the most is Empires of the void 2. It’s an amazing game! In fact it’s my third favorite game ever!
Interesting. Empires of the Void was not on our radar at all. We'll give it a look. Thanks again!
