do you ever use help layers when doing micro d&b work especially?i tend to use a b&w layer,and 2 contrast layers above my work-flow.really help to see when any skin contrast are to help flatten out blotchiness at times.enjoyed this tutorial,though i dont have capture one.

Not very regularly to be honest, though I can definitely see how they would help some people for sure! I think I've just been retouching for so long, I can usually look at photo and judge by eye what needs to be done without the help layers. But they're definitely still a useful thing to have 🙂

Love your edits and your videos! I do have a question about workflow, do you round trip the images back into C1 after photoshop or do you ever export them externally first then open up in PS? Random question, sorry, just curious :)

Hi Marybeth! So usually I don't make further adjustments in Capture One after finishing in Photoshop. I usually save a psd version of the image I'm working on and go back to that if I need to make further adjustments. 🙂
I export the images from Capture One too!
