Played with such passion from the heart- thank you Leo for this. A glorious English hymn on surely one of the finest organs in the world. God bless you for blessing us.
@@markaustin4370 Not American at all! The tune is by Stuart Townend (England), the lyrics are by Keith Getty (Northern Ireland). Credit where credit is due.
BEAUTIFUL!!! Brings tears to my eyes, especially toward the end when the piece gets powerful. I wish I could have been there live listening to this piece.
This is so beautifully done. I didn't think this song would sound good played on the organ but you've such a great job, each verse builds up to the final verse. The last few lines, "Till he returns, or calls me home, here in the pow'r of Christ I'll stand." I have shivers, it's so beautiful!! Thank you!!
After listening to many many songs and hymns performed on organs around the world, I have concluded that the Rudolph Knol organ in Stephanuskerk Hasselt is THE finest sounding musical instrument I have ever heard.
The added pipes at the end added the richness which sets pipe organs apart from most other instruments. If you have a good set of horn and trumpet pipes, it would be great to hear the tune played again just with those.
this is sung here in Australia and we lifted it up at the funeral of both my parents. great to hear it transposed for the pipe organ. [if you ever look for 'new' material try Emu Music or Michael Morrow] thankyou
Leo: the song or hymn by Spafford and Bliss is IT IS WELL WITH MY SOUL. sorry for the misspelling I noticed, I'm 79 lst Feb and it's diffuclt reading the light blue small print on my laptop and there is no spellcheck available BUMMER!!!
Prachtig, sjongejonge hoe krijg je het voor elkaar, je hebt veel talent voor nodig. Ik hoop dat je nog jaren organist bent. Helaas hebben wij hier in onze kerk geen goeie organisten:(
Beautiful rendition! Do you have this arrangement for sale? I also play organ and would enjoy playing this piece. Would really like to learn to arrange music like you. Thank you for this video! You are quite an amazing and inspirational organist!
The modulation for the last verse brought me to tears!

David Flint I fully agree!
David Flint you are right 😊
I prefer this so much better than when I hear it played with guitars and drums with people jigging up and down :-)
Your English is 100% better than my Dutch :-)

Great improvisation in the tradition of dutch organists on that beautiful organ!! Well done!!
Love your chord changes. Nicely played!
I was in the church when Leo made the recording and it was a truly emotional moment to hear this being played live!
What church and location? Too bad they didn't include video of the pipes.
