Yes instead of a rithum guitar and lead guitar have a drummer and a rithum and lead bass players two bass guitar band with a singer and two bass guitars and a drummer name the band metallibass 😊
I've recently reviewed mine (that I bought from Andertons) and it was GREAT. Up there with the Classic Vibe quality imo. I was also surprised how modern sounding it was!
My Squier Vintage Modified Jaguar Bass Special is the best budget bass I’ve ever played. Squier has really put out some great stuff I’ve the last handful of years.
I have ha mine(blond) for a yer now and I LOVE IT! I put a Kickass bridge(black) on it and the sustain is awesome(not that it wasn't to begin with). I use it in the Led Zeppelin tribute band that I play in and it rocks! Plus it is easy on my back as I am approaching 70. Get one! You won't be sorry!
Ordered one on Saturday, supposed to be here on Wednesday and I just keep watching videos on it and keep getting impressed by this bad boy. This is my first bass that I bought brand new they’ve all been hand me downs or loaners and I am going through the roof waiting for it to be delivered. Can’t wait it sounds amazing with some serious crunch, it’s downright nasty!!!!
How do you like? I recently got one in black with the gold pick guard and I love it,it is a great jazz bass. I love the modern sounding single coil pickups from fender. I got a great deal on pro audio star for $199, it was listed as used but it was brand new, tags and plastic still on the tuners and pickups.
Spot on, it's The Police. Nathan plays the bass line from When the world at times and they're basically jamming around the same chord progression. Also similar to Bring On The Night. Cheers
Are you me? I almost sold my deluxe active for the butterscotch but ended up just buying the butterscotch, lol Couldn't part with my first (real) bass.
I have a Squier Affinity P-Bass, and it's crazy good for the money. OK, yeah, I did yank the frets out of it because I wanted a fretless bass, but it's good at that, too. These basses look really good.
That said, I wonder what the percentage of people who like satin-backed necks is. Most people I know prefer satin on the back of the neck, but there has to be a large number of players who prefer glossy.
I remember Doug McCombs of Tortoise playing a modified 54 P-bass quite similar to this one. Nice crossover. I'm surprised how much the midrange is scooped on this model. Sounds almost like an active bass to me, close to the Marcus Miller model. Not bad at all.
I picked up one, the only issue I found was it was a bit quite compared to my other bass that use but it could be that it’s a p bass split humbucker compared to the 2 single coil pickups, currently running through a fender rumble 25 but Gonna upgrade to rumble 100 which might help my issues
@@GaragebandandBeyond it’s also Bring on the Night which Sting did as a mash up with WTWIRD. Probably because this squire looks like the ancient Fender bass Sting has been playing for the last 15+ years on tour
Interesting, either the first run had different colors, or the US and UK have different colors, cause all I can find are black with a gold pickguard and sunburst with a tortoiseshell pickguard
The white and butterscotch are unfortunately discontinued and I really wanted a butterscotch one. Now the new colors are the 3 burst and the black and gold
I want one with a Musicman Humbucker in the bridge position and a Precision Pickup about an inch away. 3-Band EQ with a Phase & Coil Tap for the rear.... Do it!
Why o why 38mm nut. My big clumpsy hands need P bass neck around 43mm to feel comfy. 2 years with Jazz bass with the sound I like but couldnt play it as liked. Was enthusiastic to find specs to buy this one but this has Jazz neck as well.... bummer. Now playing with wide neck Stingray, soundwise good, playability perfect.
G.E Smith had a custom built bass that looks just like this, built for him by a luthier way before this came out. Did they get the idea for this after seeing his bass?
@DeGeest G. E. Smith's bass is made from 200 year-old pine out of buildings in the Bowery, NYC. It has a standard single coil in the neck position and a J single coil in the bridge. Interestingly, the bass is totally made of pine, including the massive neck (that has no trussrod!)
@@mannishboy1 I think he featured that one in a PG rig rundown when he was doing The Wall with Roger Waters. GE might be the coolest motherfucker on the planet.
@@CarlosPCastaneda lol Na, you pretty much had it. Same tape I've had for years. I just added another verse. Great song. I like the comment above. No idea what you mean. Cheers
Difficult question but asked with good intent: is the constant fret buzz due to the setup of these demo guitars, or just a stylistic choice of the players? I notice there's a bit of a trend on TH-cam videos especially to dig into the strings on bass guitar demos, either excitement or (in other videos) guitarists picking up a bass. No disrespect to the wonderful music community and super talented players sharing these videos, but I'm super curious why studio bass culture differs so much from live/TH-cam demos.
Both. It's intentional. Low action, plus hard attack and tone open. Many people like this tone, myself included. If you don't, then a precision or stringray with high action, flats and the tone rolled off would do the trick
The 54' P bass included the tummy and right arm contours. The pickup was one single coil in the sweet spot, not anything like a Mustang Bass. Other than that, great playing!!!
They are so cool I was thinking of getting on shit then you at andertons brought a schecter stilleto vintage 4 down from £459 to £269 so I got it instead
Bought a squire classic vibe 60’s bass earlier this year and what a bad mistake!! Virtually unplayable… neck like a banana, poorly dressed frets, and surprising weighed a ton!! Straight back after a week…
They prove that every band needs two bassists.
Molotov uses two bass players on some songs "que no te haga bobo Jacobo" Is one of them

So lucky! A beautiful instrument
you got no reason to sound bad now! lol mine was a crappy squire affinity pj lol
Man I could listen to albums of these two
I bought one on Friday and I find it to have the honky sound of a fender telecaster guitar and a punk vibe to it i like it a lot 😊
Good concept, one player using a pic, the other one playing finger style. That's a nice overview of the sound possibilities and flexibility of a bass.
I’m a guitarist but I love the look of these basses!
This bass has a lot of grind, perfect for cutting through loud musical situations. #respect

I dunno... either get yourself a Jazz Bass or a '50s P-Bass. This 'thing' truly seems less than the sum of its parts.
It's just a Jazz Bass with a different pickguard and concentric pots. I don't really see how that makes it "less than the sum of its parts".
Whiff of ash...!
These basses sound way better than they look. Just like the Fender paranormal bass that came out the other year this bass is fugly.
