    I can totally relate to your discussion of George. I just love rolling. And like George, I laugh when I’m getting bullied around and submitted. It’s such an amazing exchange between two individuals. I can’t get enough of it.

    META = Most efficient tactic available, I believe. Meaning, whatever position you're in--the best (overall) option would be the meta. ;

    Great content. Been watching you for a while now. Some mma would be pretty interesting to see.

    I see a lot of Priit Mihkelson defensive postures in your game. Ive gotten into his work recently. Am I correct? Curious if you have looked into Greg Souders at all as well. I have been implementing his practice in sparring and its been incredible.

      I did watch some of Prits videos! I will look up Greg! I think we coincidentally came to many of the same conclusions though

      @@Jitsover50 Greg essentially argues that due to infinite variation in body composition, position, and athleticism, techniques do not exist. So he teaches objective based jiu jitsu. for instance, the task in guard passing would be to access center mass, occupy space between the elbows and the knees, prevent the opponent from isolating and controlling any limb, and maintain top position. The goal is to result in a pinning situation. If you can do that you have passed guard. This is every guard pass. Technique is a road map but BJJ is a world without any roads.
      A lot of people say he teaches BJJ with games but that's not really true. He teaches objectives in constrained situations. Since I have started doing it I am passing guards with passes I've never seen and countering sweeps in ways I didn't know existed. Because I am only focused on what I need to happen, and moving myself and my opponent into positions that facilitate that. Im passing ashi and I have never been taught how to deal with ashi. Its pretty wild stuff.

      I appreciate principle based dissection and learning. I think it takes a bit longer to learn but once you can act on principles life gets a lot easier on the mats! lol. You seem like you are going to be a fast learner!@@jedsanford7879

      @@Jitsover50 haha thanks. I have done a lot of other martial arts and combat sports over the years, so I come into it having already studied how the body moves and learns optimally. The first big lightbulb for me was applying that to BJJ

    Do you guys have access to any strength coaches that can get you better prepared and resilient for BJJ ? Any barbells and racks available at your gym as well?

    I always like watching your reels here. If I could give you one piece of advice when you’re on top, engage your toes way more you sit flat on your feet a lot, easy to get caught with very explosive guys👍🏼
