Never thought that a video about batteries could be...perfect. Short, concise, precise, straight to the point but with good enough comparisons, not only across battery brands but also across type of tests, not an excesive amount of voice over or head shots, just the right amount and the music was the perfect connector across the entire video. This video was both informative and inspiring. Truly. Much appreciated.
Great video, much appreciated - especially when taking into account your S1’s shutter count that you have spent in the making! Would be *very* interesting to know how these 3rd-party batteries hold after 1 year of use - if I’m not asking too much!
I was sceptical at first watching the video because I had a very dangerous situation with a third-party battery in the past. But the amount of work and care you put into this video kept me hooked. Although I am not going to ever buy another third-party battery in my life again, it is good to know that there are some legit companies out there. I really liked some of the valuable information about what happens if you hit 0%. Like someone else already said, the cheap batteries loose their maximum capacity very quickly overtime.
I was skeptical about them in the past too, the old days of dodgy LP E6 batteries still haunt me! To be honest I expected much worse results from the cheaper one which is why I wanted to do the video, but I was pleasantly surprised. Yes they will get worse over time, but I'll have to save that for another video
Very nice and informative video!! I have the PATONA one and although it is very good, mine doesn't want to charge when I use the original charger (the 50% led keeps flashing very quickly) I can charge it inside the camera through usb-c and it holds the charge very well. I think it could be a problem with just mine but it's worth mentioning.
Hi guys, nice test. I got the Patona battery. Can you confirm that they are getting discharged when leaving in camera? Thats my problem with them... By the way, do you know a powerbank to recommend for charging the battery inside the camera while shooting time lapse. Which output should the powerbank have to charge the battery and not only keeping the battery at it's charge level when pluging in the powerbank? It should be 9V / 3A, shouldn't it?

I like this test thanks! Impressed by the top results nonetheless.
Which mode of cooling system was chosen? Mode1 Mode2? Probably the motor of cooler takes main power. Waiting for new tests.
How does recording in 4k50 reduced the battery usage from no recording
How is the standby time the same as recording time?
What about Wasabi?
Thanks for this test !!
Great Video ! Thank you very much !!
