I loved my 96 CR250. probably the most fun on a dirtbike I ever had while I had it; even compared to the newer bikes. Just so smooth, plenty of power, turned well...Anyone can jump on one and rip.
Amazing that this bike was produced in the factory when I was only 5 years old, now at 30, I still think it looks perfect and even MODERN. In 1996, this bike was SO SO far ahead of snowmobiles of the same year that raced snowcross, its not even CLOSE. For 1996, it was like a spaceship on two wheels, the amount of perfection in the geometry and motor is insane considering how old it is. And like you said, its performance holds up to 450s that are made 26 years later, how crazy is that? If you look at top cars in 1996 and compare them to 2022 they will get SMOKED by modern ones, but this Honda was the exception and far ahead of its time. If I had the money Id definitely buy this one.
I have 1993 cr250 love this bike got it in Las Vegas nv for 1200 and put 3500 in to it can't wait to get it back soon . Way better then a 450 I sold my 450 for my 250. Old school all the way ..
I did a restoration for a 1997 CR125 and got $10,000 for it bike was absolutely amazing build had a custom HRC works swingarm on it. www.vintagemx.net/1997-honda-cr125r/
Hey kap.. Check out Kijiji nova Scotia.. There's a 78 rm125 completely original show room condition. Asking 2500. I thought you might be interested in it. It's definately a museum piece.
I have a 1995 Cr250r that absolutely nobody can touch, full procircuit pipes, Vforce3’s, it’ll kill brand new 450’s then line up against a built banshee and do the same thing and nobody understands it but me and other Honda guys
@@commantrosexetlos4700 If the price is Right - Get It!! They're Rising in Value, & Easy to Repair Compared with the 450 4 Stroke MX Bikes- I owned an '88 & '96 Both Powerful Machines, the '96 had better Suspension!! 👍😉🇦🇺
Love the 96 to me the best of the cr 250s raced it in the over 40 class in Atlanta at a local track never less than 3rd place only because I rolled the jumps probably. Could have taken a couple love your videos 2 strokes only enjoy D.h
I took apart my clutch on my 95 cr 250 and I don't know if I lost a check ball in-between the clutch lifter rod & lifter 1995 Honda parts fiche & service manual doesn't show a check ball or call for one on installation so I'm figuring the 95 cr 250 clutch doesn't use a check ball am I correct? anyone know for sure?
I'm pretty sure that tank is the stock Fuel Tank the last 2 bike's I had from Honda was a exact replica of this one and another one that was my cousins before he got killed the Tank shrouds may from the 93-95 CR250 but the rest of the bike is a 1996
Jason L. - He has one, and all his championship winning bikes. Check out Jeremy McGrath “Cribs”. He’s got ALL of his custom painted helmet, and all his old gear in his house!!!

You're mostly right, but the performance definitely does not hold up. Not even close. The new 250 four strokes are making similar power to this motor.
@@kelceyk8199 Damn, seriously? From what year did these four strokes start making similar power as per cc? What about reliability?

Hell Yeah! Fast as a 450 4 Stroke because 250 2T's are Lighter.
That's gotta be My All Time Favorite bike that McGrath rode and I'd love to have another 96 Honda CR250R Amazing bike's with incredible Power
Wolverine reviews a Honda cr250

LOL! this wins the comment section!
I have a 1994 cr250, these are hands down the pinnacle of Honda HRC supercross
One of the BEST dirt-bikes EVERRRRRRR MADE
Compared to what a new 450 cost, 10k doesn’t seem bad. It looks, and sounds BETTER than ANY 450 made IMO. Long live 2 strokes!!!
Damn that’s a beautiful bike!! Wish Honda would make 2 Smokes again...
So this is where WOLVERINE works now...
Hahahaha. My thoughts too!
Best dirtbike salesman to date
He only ever road a 1993 CR during his Honda career.. The newer plastics fitted but the basis was a 93
same bike though, 92-96 pretty much the same other than colors, and few diff things like forks.
Big Worm 93 had a shorter swing arm, 18 inch rear wheel, different shocks, etc. they handled better but would get head shake up top.
This is when Jeremy McGrath Won the 1993 Supercross Championship on his Rookie year in the 250 Class.
$7,000, that's it! I would have thought more. I want this bike.

This was the bike that tore through the competition with Showtime and Lammy.
The most Aesthetically pleasing bike that Honda ever made, or any brand for that matter.

wow that is beautiful.
Very lovely bike good work
Had one, bought it brand spanking new
Pretty close to Jeremys bike, except he never ran protapers only Renthal
Or Jeremy kept the 2003 frame the entire time he raced with Honda
Those are renthals, but Jeremy ran the 7/8’s with cross bar.
@@kellybrown6988 Er, 1993 thank you, typo.
Jeremy McGrath should buy this.
