great video, im a stormchaser in sa and watched the system move through central vic on weatherzone layers, i could see it was a narrow but very incense savage system that streched from the murray to the ocean. and there would be a lot of places getting trashed. 48 hrs later and there is still 50,000 homes without power. sa got nothing but a mild dry change.

Looked at the observations from BOM for this line of thunderstorms moving through...
Peak gusts for the following stations are:
Melbourne Airport: *102 kph (63 mph)*
St. Kilda Harbour: *106 kph (66 mph)*
    Scoresby: *59 kph (37 mph)*
Fawkner Beacon: *115 kph (71 mph)*
Moorabbin Airport: *91 kph (57 mph)*
Essendon Airport: *83 kph (52 mph)*
    Laverton: *80 kph (50 mph)*
Frankston Beach: *106 kph (66 mph)*
Frankston (Ballam Park): *83 kph (52 mph)*
    Coldstream: *72 kph (45 mph)*
Kilmore Gap: *82 kph (51 mph)*
    Ballarat: *67 kph (42 mph)*
Pt. Wilson: *102 kph (63 mph)*
Note: February 13th introduced two squall lines, preceding a cold front, in parallel to one another before merging some time later. The values above were taken as the first line blasted the area.

Me looking at all the hundreds of things in that yard now becoming potential human killing weapons. Thankfully it was straightline. Imagine all that stuff piercing people and the house if it was a tornado. 😳
