This might not be the best battlefield for many, but is the one that probably has the best easter eggs. I still remember this game with so much love. Getting home from school and instantly went to play hardline with my best friends, we had a lot of fun on this game.
I wish it wasnt so dead though. I never got the chance to truly enjoy the game, and when I finally got my own PC the servers were dead as a doornail. Still one of the best battlefields to date for easter eggs, secrets, and overall polish and care.
@@borger99 tbh I never understood why people shit on it for being a "reskin". It's arguably more different from BF4 than that game is from BF3. The ttk is faster across the board and it has new gamemodes and a bunch of new mechanics.

My favorite BF game but the base maps all look like ass. I was pleasantly surprised that the game looked good when I played a dlc map for the first time.
Infantry focussed combat was a breath of fresh air. Verhicles get tiring to fight. Yet people hated it for that.. Hotwire one of the best modes ever made

As someone who was steering away from Call of Duty at the time, Hardline had to be my favorite Battlefield game on account of both the Cops-and-Robbers theme, and the fact that you could play on vehicle maps without fear of being blown up by a tank every time you spawned.
I remember getting a kill with Chompi when a guy dropped it. I was a kid back then and I screamed when I got it. Hardline truly is the most underrated BF title
The noises coming from the box in Chinatown was a reference to Gremlins. In the movie, there's a tiny shop in a Chinatown that had a Mogwai hidden from bright light.
The mammoth is my favorite weapon ever. It was so hard to unlock. But i'm surprised you could unlock it with only 1 person in the server. Usually you need to be at least 4 to start the game. The syndicate is the weapon I don't own yet. You need to do some easter egg and cooperate with 4 other players. If you manage to complete the easter egg, only 1 can get the weapon... I never got it.
man i remember trying to get the syndicate, i joined a random group trying to unlock it and once we did i was about to steal it for myself but i hesistated. We planned it so that everyone had a chance at getting it but never heard from them again
I rented a server just for the syndicate gun lol, and i was surprised, just random people and they did everything right and respected each other, instead of running everyone collected it on their time, definitely the most civilized people I've meet in a FPS lol
Some random people helped me get both I didn't even have a mic and they did everything hardline was the first game I ever played online and still my favorite game ever I love hardline
Just imagine the Chinatown map in BF 2042 with the same dark sky and atmosphere. We need maps like this...towns with many details and a lot of streets. But not with 128 players!
I keep seeing people talking about 128 players but I've never even seen an option for that in Battlefield 2042, only standard 64. I think the map Hourglass would work with 128 players because that map is absolute dog shit and so barren with only 64 players.
this game had so much love from the developers. its a shame people didn't like it so now we have the newer battle fields that look better but have very little personality or feel like the devs made it for the sake of adding a new number the the title.
This game was a lot of fun. I had a blast on it. I honestly would have loved a sequel. I remember I couldn’t complete this because I needed some friends. Eventually being in Australia like 4am I found some USA players doing the Easter Egg and they were so helpful chatting on the mic and we all helped each other to get it one by one we did the Easter Egg. They didn’t mind the lag I was providing 😅 top bloke. Also in BF4 I found USA players who helped me get the Camo and the bow too. Thank you to those legends who helped me.
I remeber the mission with the aligator trying to kill you and you need to click different buttons and then Kai comes and kills it with a knife . Nostalgia😊

I loved hardline, it was so unique, I’ll never forget being a cop or robber driving around with 4 other players in a high speed chase shooting at each other, and the game modes were awesome I honestly hope they plan on doing something like hardline again
they're was several reasons why BFH was so quickly forgotten, but my reason was weapon balancing and attachment design, but I love how they worked the commander in this game as a hacker messing with electrical box, gas dispenser, cameras and a couple of other things that I cant remember right now. It was a good idea just very poor execution.
The hidden sword on Rupture is just a copy of the Cavalry Sword from the Cavalry class. I managed to get a kill with it but it didn't felt very unique.

That mammoth gun is a triple rifle, sometimes also known as an Elephant Gun because that's what they use to hunt with them. They are very rare in real life also and each one is hand made often hand carved with exquisite designs in the wood unique from rifle to rifle, 700 Nitrous Express or similar caliber its a very big round. They are also insanely expensive moreso than most any other guns 10s of thousands of dollars and the ammo is over 100bucks per round and next to no one makes the ammo for them anymore so they are always reloads. These guns are now saught after mostly by collectors where they will spend their life on display in a case on the wall.
That mammoth sound gave an idea, imagine if they made a battlefield in ice age era and have the mammoth as the behemoth. 😂 would be fun but ofc that’s not what everyone wants for the next big title. We all want a proper modern setting battlefield which could bypass bf3 and 4
A very underrated game imo, I didn’t enjoy it much when it first came out but it grew on me. Sad to think it’ll be forgotten by time I still remember the grind for the knockout lmao, just chilling in the Hotwire mode

Hardline was so fucking good. I got the mammoth gun AND the syndicate gun in 2021 because I just so happened to hop on as a group of three other random guys did, who had started a server to get the guns. Core gaming memory, we were in the party for like two hours making sure everybody got them.
Im a bit sad i didnt get to experience this game at it's peak player count, although not perfect i really liked the Swat/cop Vs Crooks/criminals setting and the extra liberties regarding guns and gadget it brought. Plus the whole vibe and setting was neat, they even brought back Radios like in Battlefield Vietnam so you could blast music in vehicles. I kinda wish they went back to it, maybe even try and make a more tactical gamemode A la Swat 4.
Hardline is the best hands down used to slay in teamdeath match and used to be a bad ass pilot crew in the car mode for got the name at the moment but man good ol days

The couch, the chompi gator, the F respect grave, the Dead Space helmets, the special reloads animations... Amazing easter eggs.
You have time for easter eggs when it's a reskin of a previous title. Not an issue per se. More time for refinement and fun.
