The british empire also protected its colonial subjects (although minimally) to make sure they have ppl to work for them so i reccomend putting up crappy walls as the minimal protection

If you wanted to go the modded way try the villagers recruits mod along with villager workers and small ships. and if you REALLY want that colonizing spirt, its compatable with a musket mod

You should use the minefortress mod if you want to mske another one and make this more strategic and immersive and inslave the villagers, you can add a resource pack to chane the skins of the villagers like what systemzee does.

Erm thats not how the British conquered. What they would do Is go to that village and find that villages greatest enemy, than they would employ those villagers to and provide funds or weapons to help them conquer a neighboring village, incorporating British control into the new government of the conquered village. Rinse and repeat until you've united all of India and have more influence than the actual local rulers.

Fun fact: The British Empire wasn’t never a true empire because it was a massive set of colonies but not territory with citizenship like the Roman Empire or the Spanish empire, also, the Spanish empire was the biggest one since they legally owned both americas, pretty cool right?
