As someone who’s favorite Pokémon of all time is Breloom, this episode hurt me. While Breloom’s attack stat is pretty decent, it’s other stats (like def and spdef) are not great, and it’s 4x weakness to flying does not help. Rest in peace, Shroomed.

I'm taking it really slow, I'm barely at the first gym several days in. I'm trying to practice drawing different Pokemon with this, because thus far the only Pokemon I've caught that I've drawn before is a Shinx.
if i were a gym leader, i wouldn't have a type specialty. instead, my team would be based around friendship. all of the gym trainers would be based around my friends, and their teams (and mine) would consist of their favorite pokémon and/or friendship evolutions. to add a level of difficulty, every pokémon would have its affection maxed.
I know this is WAY after the fact, but Shuckle in gen 4 is great. Protect, Toxic, Rest, Bide can kill just about anything. Then again, Shuckle is my #1 favorite Pokémon ever, so I admit to some bias.

This is why you have to train up ALL your team members to be on par with each other, instead of having 1 or 2 high level ones, and then the rest being underleveled, especially SEVERELY underleveled! Although it may be difficult to grind safely when the wild Pokémon are randomized... But there's always the Vs. Seeker on low level Trainers you've already fought!
