I'm an installation engineer working in Liverpool. Currently on a project with a TV motorised system which is controlled from an iPad. It's in the ceiling on a mechanism which tilts it from a horizontal axis to vertical. Costs about the same, saves space and can be used with any bed. It is a penthouse apartment obviously but just to add to your ideas there are lots of options available. Great Vid👍
Ok I think you missed an important thing here... When you bring your partner over to Netflix and chill and you get bored and start “jumping on the bed” does the tv wobble much if you don’t put it down. Usually no one is going to put the tv away during a Netflix and chill so if you could possibly damage your tv doing a few backflips it could be potentially problematic. 🤔🤔
@@greatdane114 Thanks for that. My remote is pretty much the same as the one in the video, and appears to be RF, as the bed still goes up and down even when I am out of line of sight range. So will get the pro. Thanks so much for the advice.
Can Alexa or Google, etc be used to voice control the tv lift, if not it’s not really a Smart bed, just a bed with a headboard with built in speakers, an amplifier stored underneath and a Motorised TV footrest. These have existed for years in fact they used to sell them with radios in the headboard and built in Teasmades. It would also make more sense to raise the TV higher, then add a tilt to it so you can maintain a straight on view with your head on a pillow.
It looks like the back and front speakers have different RCA cables, so you could, technically, buy a different 5.1 amp and the use the bed speakers through a different amp that splits the channels correctly. Then just run tosslink from TV to the new amp.
I can confirm that the Broadlink rm pro does work. I have a similar bed to this, and have automated the rising and retracting of the TV through a couple of Google home routines which also turn the TV on when it rises and off when it lowers.
How is it smart? It’s just TV Bed with some built in features. Does it have voice activation, does it work with Alexa or an App? No, it has no smart features at all.
Well clearly, the majority of the information in his videos is factually incorrect, a simple Google search could've fixed it, and a lot of click bate; "Building your own SSD".... Or putting an SSD in a caddy. I mean come on...
Had one for a few years now. Mine houses the PS4 in a cut out on the side. I also have those buttons on each side to raise and lower the tv. Sub/usb/remote etc as standard. Love it.
You can buy a rise up unit separate. There's alot of options to choose from. Anyhow, you could place it at the end of your bed without worrying about any footboards.
Just because the video is 8 minutes, doesn't mean he sat there for 8 minutes. He could've been there for an hour talking to the camera, with bloopers and other facts he added and deemed unnecessary.
No thanks. The TV needs to be higher, for if your knees are up or your legs are raised. And also because you’re laying down. And the speakers in the ceiling aren’t directly pointed at your listening position. I have a metal canopy frame with a 50 inch mounted at the foot of bed (as high as possible and pointed down) with a Yamaha 5.1 receiver, Sony 4K DVD player, and Fluance Signature speakers all mounted at the top of the canopy frame (speakers pointed down, of course). All within the frame. You spent too much money on something that you could do yourself, and look better, with better audio to boot.
''Especially when you bring someone round, you know, im 21, you get the gist''? uhhhh you dont bring any girls around, you still cry over your ex, unless you mean the guys you bring around?
I think it would be better to drop mount the TV from the ceiling. You wouldn't be able to hide it but it would be much more comfortable to watch while lying down, you can also go much bigger if you reinforce everything and you much cheaper if you don't need to replace your bed.
This is a great bed and I wish I can buy but if I need to connect antenna cable which needs to go to the wall socket.. and its just near the heater.. its not gonna happen :( literally cable would need to lay down on the floor.
Keep up the great and varied work. Ignore the jealous people.I actually bought the same bed super king size last year, nothing to complain about. So far...
I have the 32 version I only paid £60 for it but the motor has gone already and I don't like we're the TV is I like is to be at the side as you cannot watch it laying down and that's annoying
Hi Alex I've installed unifi at a large house that i work at and distributed to 3 houses we use a wisp company called kijoma and get a very stable 88mb .But they are hard to get them to supply new customers. I was wondering if I could do a similar system in a local village. How do I go about setting up and is it profitable.
Can you send the an updated link. All the links don’t seem to be working. Or can you send the brand names. I can’t now seem to find one in the USA. Thanks in advance.
You say theres no where to mount the tv in front of you but why didnt you just mount it to the ceiling with one of those telescope ones? You can also have one that lays flat on the ceiling and can fold down for viewing if you want the window more unobstructed.
Yeah this would be ideal for me, busy with work, gym bike riding in the evenings etc, it would be the only time for me to have a catch-up etc, so yes! This would be perfect for me. My large fish tank takes pride of place in my living room, so I only have a small telly in there. Like you said though, great pity about the sound not being 5.1.
This will be great for my depression

When you're skint because you spent £1000 on a bed 😂

I hate to tell you but bed frames, with tv's mounted inside the footboard that remotely come up, have been around for a long time.

Ozzy Osbourne made this bed popular like 16 years ago in his tv show. always wanted one

If I bought this I would never get out of bed 😂🤷🏼♂️
£4300 for mine, super king, 42inch tv, sealy Singapore mattress. Absolute dream and worth every penny!
I've never seen someone more happy to talk about a bed
Bruh u really titled it Netflix and chill
For all those asking for the name of the bed... it’s a Titan TV bed made by Kaydian.
FYI, you can buy a RF pro for £30 and set it up so Alexa or Google home can raise and lower your bed.
Is that the broadlink Rm Pro? I have a bed very similar to this one, and have been trying to voice automate it.
@@georger6707 well it depends on what signal your current remote uses. If it's IR then you can just get the mini. If it RF then you'll need the pro.

Hi Alex! Please upload a video of your 5.1 surround sound built into the roof...!!
When he says the bed turns heads, i imagine his carrying it down the street.

He could probably automate it with a voice command if he had a Logitech harmony... but he doesn't seem to know it exists.

Just watched big mouth and you look like Nick O_O
A WiFi remote? Otherwise known as RF!!
Simon Because everyone is going to know what RF is
MAUS Dumb or Dumber
just buy a bed and put a tv infront of it instead sleeping on a fucking vampire grave
Derdderd 123 HAHAHA
He should just get a little tv stand and put it in front of the bed
You can use your ears as surround sound speakers
You should get Broadlink RM pro cause then you can control your bed and TV by Alexa or Google home.
But I'm not sure does it work because the controller is not working with RF or IR, but i think you should think about this.:)
I can confirm that the Broadlink rm pro does work. I have a similar bed to this, and have automated the rising and retracting of the TV through a couple of Google home routines which also turn the TV on when it rises and off when it lowers.
Unfortunately the ebay link cannot be found. What is the make/model of this bed please?
i want to see the 5.1 suround sound built in!!!!
How is it a £1000 smart bed when you click on the link and its £1800 plus mattress ???
Because TH-camrs get sent free shit all the time so probably didn't pay for it or know the actual price.

No, it’s an rf remote. Not WiFi.
That kind of bed is old news in not like it’s a new thing or anything

My problem with that bed is the footboard as I'm a tall person and without the footboard, you wouldn't be able to have the TV rise up. :(
