Very good video! Heartfelt condolences. 44 yrs ago I had the same kind of turbulence on the 3rd leg of my cross country req't for my pilots license in a 152. It was a different time with no glass panels. I flew thru one bump so hard that my sectional flew off my lap, into my face and half covered my head lol (now)! As an old VFR daytime sight see'r I've never had that happen since. Thanks for posting. It's all GOOD TRAINING.
those late evenings are usually great times to fly when there is/was moderate wind during the day, unless it is cloudy. Clouds prevent cooling near the ground, and rotor is still prevalent at low altitude even in the evening. The wind just never really dies down. Just something I found after flying ultralights for several decades
I had about the same experience last weekend!! Really wakes you up when all the sudden out of nowhere whammo!! Just always remember to fly the plane...that is the first time I had it that rough in 10 years of flying or so
At first I didn't know what was going on, but when I looked down and saw the leaves blowing in waves I knew for sure then. Couldn't get on the ground fast enough! lol
Good job, staying calm and actively piloting. I’ve been in some rough weather, but nothing that rough. That would’ve scared the daylights out of me as well. You did good.
Great video! Had me watching at the edge of my seat! Crazy! Good day down low, crazy over the trees! Rotor will get ya everytime! Great job landing it! Great courage! Flew the aircraft home! Stayed focused, kept you and yer passenger Dave! Amen to that! Kudos bro! New sub here!
I'm not a pilot but have spent many hours in small aircraft. Late afternoon turbulence, even on a windless day, can just about shake your fillings out. :)
Good for you Jane 🙏😎👍🏼. A Americans Ninja Warrior Worthy. 🙏 To the wonderful experience pilot 👨✈️ I know exactly what a stressful condition that can be in windy 🌬 conditions. When you do land what a sense of relief. I know that the Average person has no idea 💡 what it takes to land a ppc in windy 🌬 conditions. I was absolutely drained of energy when I landed because of such a incredible work out to keep everything under control. 🙏✅😎 Beautiful landing. How does Jane do on Roller Coaster 🎢 ? Great 👍🏼 Video looking forward to seeing more.
She wasn't brave, just oblivious, which was probably the best case scenario for her. She had no idea how hairy the whole thing was until they landed and she realized how on edge the pilot was.
o.k...; I did stop the vid at 33 sec........ = tell me something: how fast is this PPGL going.... ?........ // telling you the throught: I did my examn in 1989.....and so far I never saw a motorized paraglider going that fast...... // to me: = fake....; sorry
Jane’s a real trooper, well done. Good composure and great landing, cheers and happy (smooth) flying!
Amazing flying. Your training kicked in and you did exactly what you were trained to do. Great job!

Glad you stayed safe! Training this year!

Lol Yes! I only fly early morning or evening.
Great job flying that! Wow
Jayne ist a fearless and brave woman! Fantastic!
oh, Jane! i really felt for you - you were so brave and sweet!
Wow! I hope I never encounter that much turbulence while flying. Glad you were able to get back down safely!
It was a good feeling for sure! After the feeling came back that is.... lol
She's got the heart of a Lion! Bravo to her and you as well!
Thank you Paul.
It's ok,give credit where credit is do,,,,you had control of it and damn good job bud
I call those conditions "Rock & Roll". Been there in the mountains of WV when the weather went crazy on a beautiful day. Good job!
That has to be some awesome flying country!
@@millermiscellaneous1771 Yes beautiful place to fly! Miss it a lot. Had to give it up due to health issues. Had an Infinity & a Sky Rascal.
Great piloting! 👏
Great control and landing!
Thanks Scott! There was a couple times towards the end I wasn’t feeling that!
We've been there and done that. 45 minutes of terrible turbulence. I couldn't move when we finally landed. :(
About 4 minutes was enough for me...
That was a really smooth landing considering.

I don't care how beautiful it is up there, I'm staying down here.
You understand most crashes happen "down here" right?
I sold my motorcycle because I think it’s safer to fly.
@@millermiscellaneous1771 Yeah, I'm 64 & was looking to get another bike but decided this might inch out a little more life for me.
New Sub! Awesome Machine!
Thanks Steve!
I would had threw up. lol Way to maintain control and land. She did great!
looked like she was enjoying it lol
I think I peed myself. She did very well considering. My wife would be done. lol
Kudos to your passenger. Please tell me what motor you have there>?
Opinion: I would've got a little more Altitude to get away from the rotor off the trees and give me more gliding room for an engine out!
At least its still in one piece.
At least she had a smile on her face all the way through.
a helmet might be a good idea
always good to wear depends in a case like that Janie,,, Wahooooo
Imagine the ride if only one person was in that rig.
Her lanyard dangling in the back is giving me an anxiety attack.
What camera do you use overhead? Great picture quality and anti vibration.
Hero Session 5
Are we having fun yet?
oh lord oh lord oh lord oh lord oh lord, i can release my puckered buns now, finally on the ground.. ha ha ha
She is so brave! Strong wind , do you have cameras in other places of your plane?
She wasn't brave, just oblivious, which was probably the best case scenario for her. She had no idea how hairy the whole thing was until they landed and she realized how on edge the pilot was.
If you consider that the whole construction hangs on - I think - four small carabiners. My god, I would panic.
Luther? What state Pls.?
Michigan
Why are neither of you wearing helmets.
Jayne.... You are a badasss!
These always seem like a sketchy thing to fly... like a big gust of wind could fold up the canopy
C59001--To much tension on Wing, always best to fly with a Loaded Wing thus Deflation is almost impossible...
And you were flying so low that if your wing collapsed you would not have a chance in hell.
They can't really collapse
Am I seeing strobes (between video frames) and lightning?? wow
I noticed that too, it was all strobe. I’m pretty sure anyways.
It's looks like there was some development in this clouds behind yall maybe caused the turbulence
Can you go on this with heels?
Lol, sure.
What’s up with the blue smoke during acceleration how many hours do you have on that motor
Pump oil into the exhaust for smoke-on!
No helmets ???
i'm not sure I what to try it yet LOL
It’ll be fine John! Different day different results! :)
This is a case literally where you can say the shit hit the fan ha ha ha ha
I have spent plenty of time in a six chute and that’s bumpy lol she had no clue
good flight
Yea, not fun at all!!! Turbulence is unnerving to say the least!
Nice
I didn't like that and I'm in an easy chair. Gud job sticking with it.
Thanks Pilot Bob
People. Start looking at weather charts before flight. Not only windy. Totally un necessary this.
Wow!
camera view so bad it wasnt worth the trouble.

Death trap
Please explain why.
