No i did check it in, but i have recently used it as hand luggage and it was fine, just don't fill the side pockets, hope that helps! x

If you check out my vlogs you could see where i went, we started in amsterdam and done a loop round and ended in nice, France. Was great! Hope you enjoy your trip :)
