This is the best video I found about kipling backpacks and bags. I was in doubt about which brand to buy for travelling: kanken or kipling. I weighed my options as well…although I love the Kanken design (and backstory) and would totally love to get one someday, but since I needed a larger backpack for my upcoming trip - Kipling's design won out. If Kanken’s laptop compartment in the 15” backpack has been wider- so that objects other than laptops could fit, I would have considered it since I don’t take a laptop when traveling. My kindred spirit! I am also a bag lady and I love Kipling! They are the best bags. I have a closet full. I love the material and I love the zippers and the styles. Even the smallest bag can pack a lot! I totally agree with another commenter who says she’s she’s addicted. I am too!
Yay! We think alike💛. These bags are so functional as well as good design. Their zippers don’t snag and the fabric is dirt resistant. I do wish I had some more small bags to organize my art supplies in. I’ll be keeping my eye out for them!

Hi I luv Kipling bags I use the rewater proofing for coats that you wash and rewater proofer that goes in washer usually nik nak or grangers both really good two separate products for nik nak but grangers do all in one product. Works great every time x
I put the neck pillow, microfibre throw and eyemask in a bag and hung it using a carabiner clip. It is water-resistant but not waterproof. The newer one is not as good as old ones (10 yearS) but still good compared to other travel backpacks. I carry laptop, iPad but not camera.
I LOVE your idea of using a carabiner clip! Anything that allows for packing more in - especially on the return trip when I have bought just about every snack available to bring home, I need the expansion option. Thanks for sharing!
I love Kipling, I have two Kipling purses. I have Baggallini purses and a backpack as well, they are similar to Kipling. But when I travel I have an OLD Jansport I always use. This backpack must be 20 years old and I’d be surprised if it cost more than $30 new, it’s been washed many, many times. When packing for a trip I’ve tried many times to use one of our newer nicer bags but I always end up in the Jansport. It’s just the right size for my body, it has the right number of pockets and pouches for my travel essentials. Having a backpack you love with a packing system for what goes where makes packing faster and easier. Maybe someday I’ll move on to something newer and more stylish but for our trip in Dec. I’m using my Jansport. P.S. I’m a bag lady too.
I had a Jansport all through college and even used it for a diaper bag when going out all day, but my husband took it over and I haven’t seen it since 😂. They have lots of pockets too! Good bags really do enhance a trip in the way that without them a ‘bad bag’ ruins a trip because you can’t carry everything or the straps hurt! Baggallini bags are also nice.💛
Hi, do both of them have a holder for the keys, like a keyband? Normally it's in the large front pocket. The older ones actually still have them, however, it seems that with all the new kipling bags they stopped adding them to the bags. Thanks
I love Kipling backpacks. I use them as purses. The quality is superb. My kids had LL Bean backpacks. The only issue I had with your video was the constant scratching noise coming from the hardware of your bags against your table top. So irritating. Otherwise good video.

Ooh, what a tough question. Right now I’m on a trip to Japan and have both my larger Seoul yellow ochre backpack and my small light aqua bag with me. If I had to chose, it would probably be my yellow ochre backpack because it holds so much, but honestly I’d buy 2 more of the smaller aqua bags in other colors if I could find them. They can be used as a makeup/toiletries travel bag, a small camera gear bag, an artist Sketchbooking/journaling bag, as well as a purse. The compartments are the best. What would you pick? Do you have a fav Kipling bag?
Would the Seoul small with these dimensions 15.9D x 25.4W x 34.9H centimeters fit a Stanley cup or maybe some shcoool books and. A laptop pls reply also do u recommend getting the signature emb or shimmerin spot for a 14 year old please help
Sorry I didn’t see this earlier! For schoolbooks I would say that my large Seoul backpack is large enough to fit about 2-3 normal sized textbooks (not the huge thick kind but the 2 cm thick kind) plus a few folders, but if I would need to carry 3 ring binders then I would switch to a larger volume backpack like an LL Bean. I hope this helps! The Seoul backpack is really well made, though and works for a homework day of a few subjects- not for 7 textbooks 🤣.

That’s a good question! I hope someone knows! I know they state they can carry a 15” laptop, but since I don’t have a laptop- just an iPad, I’m not sure how snug the fit would be near the top zipper. The backpack does seem nice and wide so I think the edges would be fine, but some laptops are thick and others are thin.
I’ve loved my neon pink jansport backpack but as a college student I feel like I’m outgrowing the vibrant color. Gonna replace it with one of these. Thanks for showing us your old yellow one, it’s in great shape and gives us an idea of what ours will look like down the line
I had a Jansport in college as well, only mine was burgundy (used to be fashionable😂). I think my husband took it downstairs into his basement lair and put some tools in it! You will love your Kipling bag - they really last well!

I think it’s a Challenger II…I bought it some years ago so I’m not sure if they still go by this name. They are still around because I bought my teal one this year.

I'm not sure about the name - I found it at Marshalls - it is on Amazon under the name "Kipling Women's Silen Shoulder" bag in the same color as mine- Serene green. But- Kipling's website doesn't show it under this name. I LOVE it and want another one for my cosmetics bag and another for my travel art supplies! Sigh.
