I like it. You don't beat everyone else by just following the crowd. Seth Campbell is the Richmond player and his JS is what's making it difficult to just pick him. I do have Cadman but being reliant on goals to break 40-50 points doesn't inspire confidence. There's also a chance the next 2 weeks aren't the cakewalk for GWS everyone might be expecting. They haven't exactly dominated NM in recent years (not really relevant but H2H they're 0-3 @ home). They're also 1-8 @ Optus, 3-14 in WA overall. Bit of danger if they get cocky.
Hey mate! Ah thanks for that, Seth Campbell is the name I was after! Agree on Cad and very true that if any team these days gets ahead of themselves they can easily get knocked over. It’s not a simple guarantee that the giants dominate. Good points mate! Appreciate the info as well! ✌️

Hey Blake! Thanks mate appreciate it! I’m not sold on his JS to be honest mate but then again I thought he would be the sub last week. I’d prefer to pass on him for now as I’m worried about his position from week to week. But if he keeps his spot, he should make some good coin buddy 👍

But isn’t it best 18 when Gawn/Grundy have byes? So if so you could start with Naismith at R3 and Luke Jackson at F1 and still get the same score as if you had Livingstone at R3 and subbed Jackson with him for those bye rounds correct?

Love your work, brother! I'm about to go through a complete reset of my own team after Round 0, some players too hard to ignore in my eyes .. provided they can play the same role (Heeney, for example) for long enough!

Awesome mate. I share your confusion after opening round. After some tinkering I’ve ended up back with my original strategy. A fair few PODs in there. Only change I’ve made is brought in Jackson at F1 and have gone with Mayley at R3. Obviously had Nank at R3 so sacrificing some cash gen there which I’m a little worried and still undecided about.

I've saved so many 'maybe' combinations in the last few days, I really need to bar myself from the website until teams are released also your phone vibrating had me tripping out there a few time hahaha. Am i mad for not really feeling the Reid hype?

Hi DR how are you going legend.😀Just a few differences with our teams this time. I've gone 4 deep in def, have Houston to your Phillips. In the mids we are the same except I have Crouch to your Libba. Rucks, I have done the unthinkable and faded Max😱for Xerri. Fwd line I have Flanders & Campbell to your Jackson & Fyfe, so Sexton is onfield.

Going well thanks DR, I thought my team was done and dusted a few days ago, then my D5 Coleman went down😭and it started a reshuffle. I went Coleman>Reid, Yeo>Houston, Max>Xerri, Lazzaro>Heeney. I think that will be it, would like Jackson for ruck cover, but I can't bring myself to trade out one of Flanders or Heeney. it would be nice for both of us to smash it this season, here's to you.PS I see we haven't filled up the $100 cashie league yet, with only 11/20 so far.@@SupercoachwithDR
I had Libba last season, he had 2 concussions and missed 1 week both times, when he gets another concussion this year (just the way he plays) he's missing 2 weeks this time.
That’s a very fair point mate. He only knows one way and that’s head first and full steam ahead. Seems like there are question marks over all 3 I like for that spot in Libba, Butters and LDU. Serong and Dawson only others in consideration.

would you go budrick, any mid under 625k expect green cos I have him and heeney thats option A or option B is yeo and any mid under 690k and 1 fwd which is Jordan or harmes?
Hi DR, interested on your thoughts with team structure, most teams are looking at the top priced guaranteed premos like bont, daicos, English… with the magic number they don’t have much value, (probably aside from daicos), seems like most teams are going guns and rookies not many midpricers but there’s so many good ones this year (yeo, d”ambrosio, Williams, Martin, wines, crouch, bonner, berry, j lyons, Fyfe, jordon, etc) I think with the more trades it suits more midpricers and playing aggressive with value and cash being more important, but also there’s good cheaper premo options also to go with the midpricers, but also get with best 18 early you could go with the rookies and avoid the really low scores, while getting Uber premo scores on field, would that be your reason mate? thoughts on this? Was thinking of leaning towards midprice madness for some risk, maybe you could talk me out of it if I’ve missed something😂. Cheers
Hey Dan! Hope u r well mate. Can def see what u r saying there for sure and it’s a very fair argument. Finding the balance between value and paying up for the best is tough. The issue with going to midprice is that very very rarely do all of those picks work. E.g. Fyfe, Flanders, Bruhn, NWM, JHF who a fair few started last year were failed picks (a couple came good but by that time it was too late) Usually with GnR u are also lying up for history and more guaranteed quality. But if the midpricers u select actually work, u r def ahead! The tricky part is selecting exactly the right ones because as u said there are so many options! So long story short, I think it’s important to get a mix, but crucial to nail the right ones because it’s tough to fix failed midpricers as u rarely have the money to trade up. Just my thoughts anyway mate and hope that helps a bit. All the best Dan ✌️

hey dr, great team; loving the picks that can hopefully get you off to a great start. Would love to pick jackson myself just can't bring myself to it. Trying to go with a mindset with a sprinkle of abs but also jannath. Scared of fading fyfe, would u rather houston and lazzaro, or Yeo and Fyfe. Keep up the great work!
Hey mate! Thanks so much for the kind words! Yeah Jacko is making me nervous! Haha. I love that mate - a combo of Abs and Janath sounds elite and a great balance! That’s tough but I would lean towards starting Houston and Laz. But I have bias against Yeo and couldn’t pay that much with his injury history. Houston and Laz are certainly the more durable combo if that concerns u also mate. But either combo I could see working! Hope that helps a bit mate and all the best with your team planning ✌️

Great vid mate!... I don't have the Kahoonies to go for both Jackson and Heeney. I am just going with Heeney, i like the 144 sitting there and his draw pre-bye, but will definately flip him, probably to Flanders (...or maybe to Jackson when Shreks injury lingers for an extra 10 weeks 🤔😅)

The difference unlike any other season is that the Rd 0 players score will be locked into their price cycle before we can choose to select them. Heeney BE for example will be super low, so rather than trying to let it cloud my judgement, I’m trying to use the free data and info we got from those games to see where some value is at (in saying this my judgement could have been clouded! 😂)
With the byes, by that time I think Sanders is already upgraded, along with McKercher and Fyfe. Freo only share their bye with Port also which makes things easier. Just my thoughts mate and could be totally wrong! Hope your team planning is going well ✌️

11 round zero players, including 5 premos. Are you worried about low scoring in their early bye rounds having to rely on rookies instead?
Hey mate. Yeah it’s def not ideal, but I’m not overly worried. I think most of my bench rookies have decent scoring potential and best 18 means I think I can afford to. Also Green and Heeney may both be early flips for me, it’s in consideration to do that with at least one of them. A big reason for mentioning in the vid that I want Butters over Green is because of the bud situation, but I’m literally 1.2K short buddy! 🤦♂️😂

Hey mate! It’s certainly a valid point as he has never been a star. It’s more the history of scoring in that role at North. Bonus kick ins add to raising his floor in poor matches and if he doesn’t look great after the first couple of matches, there are lots of midpricer downgrades u could look to move to. But that’s worst case scenario. Can see this pick going either way mate, will be an interesting watch! All the best with your team planning mate! ✌️
