Sarah is by far my favorite color analyst to watch (and the two women from Australia with a similar method). I love how slow and careful she is, how she explains in such detail exactly what she is seeing, walks you through her whole process, asks good questions, checks her conclusion, is very patient, and treats all of her clients with so much kindness. Such a classy lady and clearly a professional at what she does.
Very interesting to see a soft season with such a clear, fair and almost vibrant skin color paired with darker hair and eyes (which would suggest high contrast) - thanks for breaking stereotypes here! :) tho I do think this is why she also looks amazing in the warm autumn colors, since she can handle some depth
Yes! She has such high contrast, according to all you read about colour analysis, yet couldn’t do especially deep or bright. Really does break those stereotypes. I have darkish hair and pale skin but I have a feeling I can’t handle a lot of bright either.
Perhaps the softness is coming from the fact her hair, eyebrows and eyes are all of similar value. So even though they could be classed as higher contrast features when compared to her skin, her overall level of contrast reads as much more in the medium category, if that makes sense? Super interesting example, and goes to show the value of in-person draping!
Greetings from Texas! I am a male who is interested in this subject, and this was the first analysis I saw on your channel. I was very impressed with your listening skills with your client. Finding out many years ago that I was a Summer and that I was a Gamin (petite) male revolutionized my life, and opened me up to new colors, new items, and a new style that has served me now for for over thirty years. I could be an outstanding version of what God created me to be, instead of something else. I subscribed today to your channel, and thank you again.
Wowww I really thought that she would be warm autumn! After you said the soft were better I watched back the warm autumn and then I saw it too ;) This is a surprise to me, I assumed with all her warm features she would be much warmer. That's why an unbiased analysis is so important :) Loved this one!
I thought Warm Autumn too, but the process reveals the truth! Soft Autumn is lovely on her. I do think if she borrows, some of those deeper colors look great on her - especially that green. For being a Soft Autumn, she looks like can handle some depth too. Great video as always, Sarah. :)
Watching on two separate screens. On the first one the girl looked very cool toned and I couldn't understand why Sarah thought she was warm. Switched to the second screen which has truer color, and was like OOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHH!!!!! I see it now.
What a beautiful person! I’m honestly surprised that you landed on soft autumn, I thought all the autumns looked amazing on her and she would be a true autumn
Well that fooled me! She has such a level of brightness and contrast to my eye that I was convinced she’d be a warm spring, but I can also kind of tell why she isn’t. I could tell that warmer colours were better, but SOFT Autumn too me by surprise. But the draping really shows it up.
Love your videos! But the camera's white balance was really finicky in this video. During the initial binary test, it made the off-white looked identical to the optic white on screen, and it made this lady look better in the cooler colours!
Hey Sarah, would you consider making a video about being a light olive skin tone and how it interferes with your undertone? I am definitely a warm season but my skin feels a lot more multidimensional and deep because of the added blue. It also barely contains any red which makes it appear a little like sand or stone and is way too cool to wear any of the really warm colours like yellow. I figured out im soft rather than bright but because there is so much depth I also need some contrast which I sometimes struggle to find in soft autumn palettes, light colours are a big no no for me. I switch between soft autumn and soft summer in summer and the soft dark burgundies and plum tones from deep autumn in winter. Do you have any knowledge about this? I found on Reddit that a lot of girls struggle with that issue. It would be amazing to hear a professional talk about that. ❤
It sounds like you might benefit from a colour analysis. These videos have very general explanations and many people will self-type themselves incorrectly by gathering information from various sources.
The client is a very beautiful woman. The soft autumn really looked great and she can get away with a few colors outside her palette. (Almost) can’t go wrong 🙂
This was very interesting to see unfold. It became very clear, very quickly that she is autumn with low contrast. Seeing her draped with her colours was wonderful! She is lucky to have such a wide variety of colours work together.
If she indeed was a true autumn she wouldn't have been able to pull off any of the sister subs and she looked quite lovely in quite a few of soft summer confirming soft autumn and not true autumn.
This is still one of my favorite color analysis sessions to watch! I love that she turned out to be soft autumn, and the way she just knew when she saw it was perfect!
Welcome to soft autumn 🍂🐝🌊🍐🪸 I'm one too. Glad Sarah showed the brochure with many colours from the palette because the testing drapes don't always look nice together (they are designed purely for testing i suppose). This season's colours are so beautiful particularly when lots are used together like a soft gentle rainbow, i love it when my wardrobe reminds me of sunlight shining through the ocean or gemstones 🧡
I think a lot of the comments show that you can't just tell what a person is from looking at them; they have to be draped! I look more of an autumn due to colour of hair and eyes, in fact I have autumnish dark green eyes, but the colours are drab on me, I draped as warm spring, both to my surprise and that of of the colour consultant!
At first glance I could see the warmer undertone even though her skin is so fair and relatively translucent which can be misleading in a cooler direction.
I wish we could've seen a full red in the soft autumn palette on her,(There's a tiny bit peeking out in the fanned out fabrics).Red and pink are the ones that the 50's dictated were too ruddy , making them look blotchy rather than creamy. I'd like to see the ones that are difficult for them to achieve. Black is one I commonly think looks horrid ,pale pink looks awful, and they commonly turn to navy, which is usually just a bit stark making me think "well, blue and orange just aren't my fav compliments,so, I'm biased". I didn't hate the dark winter on her as much as I thought I would - I normally hate black on red heads, all the other colors in the dark winter were best, but surprising that they weren't as bad as I thought. The one thing I liked better in the Spring was the brown. Better than "her brown".Cinnamon browns and creamier browns are best on redheads.
I'm a warm-undertoned ginger, but spring, not autumn. It's hard for me to fathom any redhead being cool, though everyone seems to think if you're very light-skinned, you're automatically cool. Redheads have copper-coloured hair, copper is a warm-toned metal! Seems like it would go with warm-toned skin.
Loved her in the warm and soft autumns. For that more dramatic flavor, could she pick colors from the warm autumn palette? The summer pink also looked lovely on her, so could she wear the deeper summer pinks as well? With her coloring, it seems like a shame she couldn't wear antique pinks and rose.
Got it:) Do you ever do CA online? I was typed a couple years ago as a soft summer (twilight summer), but I seem to gravitate towards soft autumns and darker cooler colors. My daughter prefers me in soft browns, like camel, which is nowhere on my pallet. My husband also likes yellows, but the stylist coach said I should avoid all yellows, even those falling under the soft summer season. I am unsure if I was typed correctly and am considering a second opinion. Thank you. @@sarahryanthestylecoach twighlight
So I guess I am probably just blind lol which is probably I mainly wear neutrals... I thought she was just so beautiful and every color looks ranging from good to great on her!!
When you started off the analysis i thought she would be a fully warm season, but the moment yoh compared the two greens on the intensity level, i knoww she would be a soft autumn
Maybe it's my screen, but it feels like the white balance was all over the place this video. It was harder to follow along with the colours than it usually is.
Yes, it is very difficult to be objective about yourself. I know I am some kind of autumn, since I look dead in cool tone pink, silver... and I look amazing in salmon. Strong, clear colors don't look as great as muted, so spring is out of question. But after that it is quite difficult to decide about subseason, since I think, I look great in all autumn colors. My hair is auburn (quite similar to this ladys, just a little bit darker), and I am light, with few freckles and green eyes.
It's funny what different people can see. I think the warm colours look horrible against her skin and make her look dragged down and sad, especially the olive green. The rose, sage, soft blue and greys looked beautiful and her skin looked creamy and even. The dark winter was nice in colour but too intense so that makes me think soft summer! That cool skin with a drop of warmth from the eyes and hair❤
i can't be the only one to think the warm autumn colors looked a lot better than the soft autumn colors, you can also notice how the dark winter colours complimented her overwhelmingly better than the soft summer ones
I think I'm Winter. But when I was younger I thought spring or summer. I've thought to do my seasons for a long time but I won't ever give up olive green or black. This young lady isbeautiful.
If you wear make up you can pretty much wear any colours. The idea is to harmonise with ones natural features. especially if they don't like wearing make up :)

Thank you so much for your kind words Jamie 🥹☺️
She is sooo beautiful and has such a lovely smile. The colours are fabulous on her!
So nice of you to say :)

Super interesting example, and goes to show the value of in-person draping!
meanwhile i have soft summer hair, a bit softer than her, and im winter, lol.
Yes important not to jump to conclusions and let the colours do the talking :)
I think she is a great example of cool tone skin with warm undertone!
Yep that's why it's so important to see past the skin tone to the undertone :)
Kalani is so incredibly beautiful. Soft Autumn looked so great on her but I also loved that deep purple too! Idk why 😭

Great to have more men following the channel and the color range. Former Texan, glad you are living your best life!
Omg how gorgeous she is! Absolutely stunning ❤
So beautiful!
What a beautiful young lady… her colors are wonderful on her!!
So beautiful!

It always makes my day when new colour analysis videos are on. 😊
Glad to hear it :)
What a beautiful Australian girl, those soft autumn colours look fabulous on her.
I think so too! Thanks for watching|!
Amazing how the bright winter colours made her skin looking yellowish-greenish🙂 Other than this, almost everything looks beautiful on her.
I totally agree!
Watching on two separate screens. On the first one the girl looked very cool toned and I couldn't understand why Sarah thought she was warm. Switched to the second screen which has truer color, and was like OOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHH!!!!! I see it now.

She’s beautiful ! You did a great job!!
Thank you!
I’m obsessed with these videos!! I would love to get this done 🥹
Let’s organise it!
Wow… she’s stunning!
So true!
❤ Absolutely adore these series of analysis with clients. 😊 thank you!
So glad! Thanks for watching :)
Love your videos! But the camera's white balance was really finicky in this video. During the initial binary test, it made the off-white looked identical to the optic white on screen, and it made this lady look better in the cooler colours!
The whole video appears very cool toned.
Another great video Sarah!!! I thought she would be a true autumn at first. But totally agree that she is a soft autumn 😊
Me too!! Thanks for watching!
That palette is perfect for her!!
💯

Wow, she looks amazing in soft autumn colours!
I know right? :)
Definitely soft autumn. Totally agree

I feel like she is a True Autumn and not one of the sub seasons. I thought all the autumn colors looked relatively good on her!!
I felt similar at times, so she definitely has options!
If she indeed was a true autumn she wouldn't have been able to pull off any of the sister subs and she looked quite lovely in quite a few of soft summer confirming soft autumn and not true autumn.
Deep was just too heavy on her :)
I know she is very fair but do you think she is a warm olive skin tone? She looks lovely on the soft autumn colors.
This is still one of my favorite color analysis sessions to watch! I love that she turned out to be soft autumn, and the way she just knew when she saw it was perfect!
She’s just a perfect soft autumn! She’s lovely!
I think so too!
Love how structured and clear this is! Sarah, have you done a video on a bright spring yet?
th-cam.com/video/WMGubcj-9oY/w-d-xo.htmlsi=bdSQw0Qp7NqO6nuM
This is one of her bright spring.
Yes I have :)

Thank you for watching Soft Autumn!! :)
Beautiful! Her skin and hair are so beautiful. I am so happy to see a fellow soft autumn. It suits her so well.
Beautiful hair colour! Had a feeling she would be an autumn 🍂
So stunning right!
Love this series
Glad you like them! Thanks for being here :)
I honestly thought she looked better in the silver than the brown. I found a lot of the warm colours dull on her skin.
I actually preferred the deep (1st) autumn on her.
Nice!
She has absolutely beautiful coloring! Love all the warms in her! So pretty!
Stunning right?
So excited to watch!
Yay!!
I've always known I was a typical autumn but wasn't sure why black also suits me. Thanks for explaining that I can borrow from dark winter! 🌷
Glad it helped! Thanks for watching!
At first glance I could see the warmer undertone even though her skin is so fair and relatively translucent which can be misleading in a cooler direction.
Yes someone inexperienced might see coolness which is the skin tone and not undertone :)
I wish we could've seen a full red in the soft autumn palette on her,(There's a tiny bit peeking out in the fanned out fabrics).Red and pink are the ones that the 50's dictated were too ruddy , making them look blotchy rather than creamy. The one thing I liked better in the Spring was the brown. Better than "her brown".Cinnamon browns and creamier browns are best on redheads.
As a an auburn/hazel eyed redhead I co-sign to all of this! Nice to see a fellow ginger who isn’t cool-toned…
I'm a warm-undertoned ginger, but spring, not autumn. It's hard for me to fathom any redhead being cool, though everyone seems to think if you're very light-skinned, you're automatically cool. Absolutely, there are cross-overs with all palettes but it was just too intense to choose as a main palette :)

If I wasn’t convinced about colour analysis before, I sure am now! However I loved the dark Autumn on her too.
Thanks for watching!
So I guess I am probably just blind lol which is probably I mainly wear neutrals... I thought she was just so beautiful and every color looks ranging from good to great on her!!
Omg same!!! I she looked good in the springs too
So hard to find these colors in summer clothes. I'm a redhead too, but with more freckles. Still red at age 60
Keep searching! Stay with it!
Woohoo !!!! Someone with my exact colouring!!! Learned so much
Great to hear!
This was the first time I could see the reds immediately! I knew instantly she was a warm undertone. 🥰💯💗 Also, she looks stunning!
Yay! Thank you!
Another great video! Thank you Sarah. A fellow Aussie, lucky girl to go to Ireland 😊
Thanks so much! 😊
When you started off the analysis i thought she would be a fully warm season, but the moment yoh compared the two greens on the intensity level, i knoww she would be a soft autumn
Yes I thought it would be the same but the colours said otherwise :)
I really enjoy your content! I have no eye for this at all, I thought she looked good in almost every colour. 😀
Oh thank you! And thanks for watching!
Maybe it's my screen, but it feels like the white balance was all over the place this video. It was harder to follow along with the colours than it usually is.
Yeah I noticed the camera picked up on the early morning blue light. It was much better in person ! Sorry about that!
Dark is beautiful on her too
The browns are so beautiful on her. The olives also my favorites but pretty sure im soft summer. Greys are my go 2s.😊
Good choice!
This was really helpful, since I have the same coloring. I was always wandering, if I am soft or warm autumn.
I would say be careful not to type yourself based on someone who has similar features :)
Does the soft autumn orange have a particular name? I always have trouble finding the right colour and would love a comparison.
Super fun to watch, can I ask a question? Did you buy those drapes yourself or you bought them somewhere?
Thank you and keep up with the videos
Oh my goodness! She looks like the beautiful Phoebe Dynevor from Bridgerton❤️
I guess it's the camera or lighting but she seemed to be cool toned to me. I thought the summer and winter colors looked good on her.
There's a little early morning blue light that the camera picked up on but she definitely looks great in neutral-warm :)
Thank you for this wonderful Video. I enyoyd it a lot.❤
Thanks for watching :)
Oh, a fellow Aussie autumn! 👋
Hello Aussie Autumn! :)
i can't be the only one to think the warm autumn colors looked a lot better than the soft autumn colors, you can also notice how the dark winter colours complimented her overwhelmingly better than the soft summer ones
I think I'm Winter. But when I was younger I thought spring or summer. I've thought to do my seasons for a long time but I won't ever give up olive green or black. This young lady isbeautiful.
What a stunningly beautiful girl. I think she could wear a bin bag and still look gorgeous.😮
Couldn't agree more!
Just from the photo, guessing clear spring!
Well… at least I got warm right? 🤣
You got the warmth alright :)
I think the deep winter looked much better than the soft summer.
Thanks for sharing!
My goodness, so obvious in the end how the low contrast works better for her!
So true!
Nicely done. I dont agree completely. But most important is that the young Lady loves the colours and is confident with them.
That's fair :)
That helps me to not guess others as cold undertone with such light skin
I had to watch this twice cause I couldn’t believe it! 😃
Thanks for watching! Twice! 😀
That dark purple was pretty on her
So pretty!
I love her name🥰☘️
So nice!
Wow! I am shocked that an auburn hair is soft autumn 😂 sooo cool! I seriously have no idea what looks good 😂
Never mind the hairnet, she even looks good with that.
I think if she wore a little makeup she could pull off true autumn. I honestly loved the warm autumn and the soft autumn
If you wear make up you can pretty much wear any colours. The idea is to harmonise with ones natural features. especially if they don't like wearing make up :)
I'd love to see a summer with green eyes and dark ashy blond hair
Unfortunately I have no control over who walks through the door for an analysis!
I could tell instantly that tomato red was waaay better on her
Its so funny that I know from the moment I saw her that she was an autumn.
Weird I thought her hair and skin were high contrast enough for her clothes?
What a gorgeous, sweet young lady!
I couldn’t agree more 💕☺️
Hey I like the springs on her too; but that’s coming from someone prolly wears all the wrong colors in my daily life😅
