Bondi Lifeguards kept me company in my hospital stay. Hoping to be discharge tomorrow but will continue watching until I watch every episodes out there 😅
Even though stealing is obviously wrong, it’s nice that the lifeguards have the sympathy to understand that sometimes people do it because of desperate matters I feel sorry that the lifeguards were treated that terribly by the kid- that was aggressive and disrespectful
I reckon the police should set up a permanent base inside the Lifeguard shack or nearby. They'd be able to respond more quickly plus the lifeguards can focus on the sea and beach instead of thieves and perverts etc
Plus they could help with lost children and other minor issues they have. It would make sense but I assume it’s a funding issue with the police, or a lack of enough police to have a permanent team there 🤔
@@lilyhaselwood7975these life guards are highly trained don’t forget some of these videos are 10 years old. Procedures are updated every year just about. I agree the police need to be set up there all the time I do know they do patrols but they need to be there all the time so our lifeguards can do what they do best..
This is better than a movie! Can’t believe how many bags get stolen. Bondi beach is so busy it’s good the public keep an eye out. Our beach (Miami, Gold Coast) although busy but nothing like Bondi. Luckily never had my bag stolen. Lifeguards do an amazing job. Good on you guys
watching bondi rescue fun, it also makes me have very high respect towards lifeguards because they are risking their lives to help people. and i love watching the funny moments during rescues. keep up the good work mates.
Lifeguards do nothing than overstep the bounds of their authority (such as the scene where they laid hands on those 13 year old(s)) and milk the taxpayer
I've been watching Bondi since yesterday, and I want to say you got my admiration for doing what you do. Too bad lifeguards don't have a police clearance to do any arrest so they can concentrate better on their duties. Cheers from Canada!
Yet the lifeguards are the ones causing most of the disruptions, by assaulting suspected thieves and laying hands on them. That scene with those 3 teenagers, the lifeguards escalated by grabbing them (physically) which is against the law
You guys rock!! Thieves are pathetic. Six or seven years ago, I had my phone and wallet stolen during a business trip to Russia, and it was a nightmare. At least my passport was safe inside an inner coat pocket. I can only imagine the horror of having your phone, ID, money and travel documents stolen while on holiday.
Yes my brother came to stay in the UK from Canada, we went to the gym and went swimming, then we went back to the locker room, any although the locker was locked he new immediately he had not left his wallet on top, and they’d pinched his credit cards, we notified the credit companies and all cards had to be cancelled, they had already spent £2000 pounds on goods. But the credit card company would only issue a new card to his home address, Canada, and he was in the UK and was going on to Spain for a holiday, thank goodness for American Express they would issue a new card to bank in Birmingham, still 25 miles to travel to pick it up but at least a life line to still go on holiday
Ever since I started watching your videos I have wanted to buy the Bondi Rescue sweatshirt and when I first time babysitting I got enough to purchase it and my mom said I could get it and I am really excited to wear it to school and tell people about you guys. You are my favorite thing to watch and my mom is happy that I don’t watch junk anymore and that I am learning something from TH-cam. Your videos help to educate people and show them what to do if something like what you guys deal with on a day to day basis happens and how to properly handle and prepare for when things like that happen.I hope you all have a great day. 😁☺👍
I want to become a lifeguard. Serving the public and protecting people is very honorable. You lot really go above and beyond. That Indonesian guy would have a very hard way to go
Lifeguards arne't supposed to serve and protect, police are. Much of Bondi is staged and it's obvious since Queensland law doesn't allow lifeguards to lay hands on people suspect of theft
You guys have got to get the local police to show you wrist locks and thumb holds as well as any other holds they will show. These are really easy to use and It will make it a lot safer for you.
You do realize that most police in Australia don't know how to use handcuffs BECAUSE they rely on lifeguards or passerby to make arrests for them? Why hasn't Bondi set up some locker system to try and prevent stealing even swimming pools have and it doesn't have to be a ton, first come first serve.
