It actually takes place before the entire thing, because if you pay close attention in the Something about knuckles, he has one normal hand, and one robotic hand, in the scene of him on the mech in this, he still has both hands, Amy and Cream Crying is showing there reaction after tails told them Sonic was gone, to them, they think he is dead.

I never understood why Tails never got upset when Amy killed Sonic since he was like "Sonic is only mine !" And that's why he ruined her relationship with Sonic the worst way possible. But with this part I get it. He found his true Sonic and now decide to eliminate all the others because for him they are impostors. But I wonder why he helps this Sonic to have more friends since he is still possessive 🤔 Maybe because this Sonic wants it or Tails planned to eliminate them after. So he can be the only one left !
That's a good question! From Secret Histories, it seemed more like Tails just didn't like anyone being more important to Sonic than him mainly. And this Sonic is a lot more manipulative I feel, he probably tells Tails all the things he wants to hear to stay on his side. And since this Tails seem him as the "one true Sonic", he's more likely to go with what he wants. That's my guess!

The "real Sonic" had to explain to him that his relationship with Amy had nothing to do with friendship, and that she would not replace Tails as his "best friend" (for the others, we can speculate that the "real Sonic" explained to Tails that even if he has other friends, the latter will remain his best friend).
I think it’s interesting that he says there’s only one true sonic, because originally he never seemed to say that there was only one sonic, and only that his sonic was *not* sonic. My theory is that once he gathers his "friends," he will either merge his friends to create the perfect universe in his own image or refigure their personalities and shape them to make his "family." Think about Amy and Tails are better versions of each other, but their personalities are heavily flawed, so maybe he needs to reshape them into his own image.
So that's Best Friends (and now Amy's) goal. Reunite their 'true' friends and wipe out the imposters. I sense carnage and chaos will ensue and I'm here for it.

Each time a portal is open, Glowing Tentacles come out & drain the life out of everyone & everything in the certain universe (Amy’s & the Kaiju Universe for example).
@@mariocooper1996 This theory seems very likely, Amy and Kaiju Knuckles' universes weren't the only ones affected, at the end of There's Something about Amy Chapter 1, the golden beams were shown to be visibly spread to other universes/worlds, implying they were also getting drained of life too.

My theory is that once he gathers his "friends," he will either merge his friends to create the perfect universe in his own image or refigure their personalities and shape them to make his "family." Think about Amy and Tails are better versions of each other, but their personalities are heavily flawed, so maybe he needs to reshape them into his own image.
