i had this video playing in the background as I was doing multiple choice questions and as soon as I heard "LLM program" I was all eyes! lol, it's so hard for us LLM graduates! Congratulations, and thank you for being so transparent video. Definitely put me in the right mindset
Excellent video Brooke! Thanks for the detailed study regime. I went to law school 20 years ago and have decided to sit for the bar this July-OMG so nervous - but-I like your routine and think I can adopt partially what you did-I will be working while studying! Thanks
Hey Brooke. Your video tips have been a lifesaver, a boat saver and confidence booster. I have adopted almost 100 percent of your advice and schedule cuz I wake up early like you and also love working out. I adore your unaffected style of conversation and appearance is nice and glam but not distracting. Keep it up. Keep giving back. A big hug for giving me strength and sound advice.
thanks for the inspirational video. I need a 273, figures, right. either the highest score or 2nd highest. The only good thing is only about 500 people take the exam in July, and 200 or so in Feb. I think I am waiting to Feb this time, last Feb MBE was a 131 average, who would believe that; so maybe the equating process will change for February, or hopefully so. I think the right thing to do is have another job, in case this doesn't work out. Clerk or another field. If it works out fine, otherwise there are other alternatives.
I am taking the July Bar Exam - I am struggling with the essays because I haven’t memorized the black letter law. Did you start doing your essays open book? When did you feel confident you knew the law?
Hi Orelmy! Congratulations on graduating and sitting for the July bar exam. For the essays I did start out doing full ones and, like you, I eventually noticed I was having a hard time because I had not fully memorized the black letter law. Thus, I would really use about 2-3 hours in the morning to go through my critical pass cards to hammer it into my head. Sometimes I would do open book essays to build my confidence, but I didn't do too many. If I was assigned 8 for crim pro I may do like 3 or 4 open notes only. Also, it took me a while to feel confident knowing the law. Just know studying for the bar is a marathon, not a sprint. Also, be sure to review as you go so you don't forget what you worked so hard to memorize.
Thank you. I made As in evidence and criminal in my 1st semester masters and I am almost done with my law courses. More than 6 months down the line, I can't confidently answer past questions in criminal law or evi because I took those courses in 1st semester. 😅ol. Wow! Like i literally had to buy bar prep hero to start revising the rules with past questions. I ll keep doing this till febuary. Like seriously ! I covered up those courses once I passed them, and now I can't remember much of the rules. So I am revising the rules as I go. Yes! And your video helped me a lot because I know I can combine both. Thanks.

Super helpful! Wondering whose lectures you were referring to when you mentioned listening while running errands?

Hi. I am a foreign school law graduate. I just want to know, if I really have to do memorizations, like verbatim for the essay? Thanks…
Great Advice! Sitting the UBE next week 🥲
You've got this! You will be done before you know it! :)
