I worked as a counselor and mentor for at risk teens for 5 years and always did reseller stuff as a side hustle, it was before all these trendy youtube hustlers. Then is 2020 I started doing really good eventually I started making more than at my regular job and decided to be my own boss in summer of 2021. I pay real money for the right stuff, in turn people reach out to me when they have stuff to sell, still hit garage sales some, but have done hoarder estate clean outs, private buys from mutual friends moving, etc. Some of us resellers are legit, and my feedback is 100% positive right now!
That's how you do it! Work smarter not harder.....plus these guys don't realize how much actual work it takes to run a successful reselling business. I'm right there with you

To be fair to Philly Phlipper, he is actually pretty open and transparent about being a re-seller, he often times will tell the people he is buying items from that he buys from garage sales and thrift stores to flip on eBay So I can personally respect that.

I am a re-seller too. Im moving to Vegas in March, and lost my job a month ago. Sure, I could find a min wage job... but re-selling not only makes some pretty good money, but its a good way to get rid of things I dont need to move from Michigan to Nevada. You absolutely could do what we do, but you are right, it can be VERY boring. As to the videos, I watch them to learn what to find, and how to negotiate. You may call it "stealing" We call it "re-homing" Garage Sales especially is discount city anywhere you go. People that have garage sales want to rid their items by the time the sale is over. Day 1 and last days are the best days to go. Ebay charges up to 20% in fees depending on the category (for new sellers), shipping and taxes. There needs to be room for profit. Never wrong for asking. That being said, there are many more interesting videos. Yours unfortunately is not one of them. But I wont knock you for it.

Set up my garage yesterday with tables, cameras, new locks and alarm system, plus organized my inventory onto the tables and in totes. Lots of hard work goes with it too, if its a full time gig. I underestimated the work involved with cleaning out a storage locker, lol.

For me, what I liked about that channel at the time is seeing what game stores are like in America as I live in the U.K. but the amount of deals he would try cut was lame and absolutely over the top. At yard sales I usually pay for what they want. They get up early in the morning and set out the stuff they want to sell. They're working their asses off you know? Unless I get offered a deal, I will take it but I mostly pay for what they want because it is cool stuff that I am going to enjoy

I’m sick and tired of resellers, driving up the cost of goods, because even goodwill has increased the cost of goods because resellers are going there so much And lots of times when something goes on sale for like 75% off resellers will buy the entire stock and sell it for above market value The whole reason for some of these sales is to make things available to people who couldn’t afford it a full price But these resellers with the thousands of dollars and their business bank loans they can just buy at the entire stock, and there’s nothing for anybody else

Everyone knows the corporate thrifts are the definition of capitalism. Ceo's making millions a year off free donated items. People that need items for cheap can still get them. Otherwise there are plenty of cheap clothes, shoes, books, appliances, furniture.

I love Phoenix resele but lately with the 1 up app I have to quite watching half way through I miss his origional content, I'm a buisness savy person been doing it before Calib was in dippers no offence just true, I use to take PDA scanners into toys r us, walmart, target to resale on amazon using the same concept with basic algorithyms that cost little to nothing it was massivly lucrative till everyone drove the cost to pennies on the dollar due to mass quanity sellers. It can be done at levels that don't make you wally world level thats what destroys it not for just buyers but regullar real sellers that just want to make a extra 20 k a year as a part time gig not millions which is really not nessasry on a neich it will only destroy the market

At yard sales I usually pay for what they want. They get up early in the morning and set out the stuff they want to sell. They're working their asses off you know? Unless I get offered a deal, I will take it but I mostly pay for what they want because it is cool stuff that I am going to enjoy

There might be one or two yard sales where I’ll find games but no little Samsung, earthbound or any other crazy expensive game I cannot afford to buy or would even think of spending over $100 on one game
I resell on the side my main job is my real job but it's kinda a hobby and I always make sure the stuff is a good deal and it's clean and working

I love watching Philly flipper. Some of these resellers can make many hundreds thousands of dollars. All of us have something wrong with our appearances web wish we could change. I would not care if resellers were at my yard sale I would give them the same deal. He has a very pretty girlfriend. How many yard sales would you be able to go to maybe 1. I’m sick and tired of resellers, driving up the cost of goods, because even goodwill has increased the cost of goods because resellers are going there so much
And lots of times when something goes on sale for like 75% off resellers will buy the entire stock and sell it for above market value
The whole reason for some of these sales is to make things available to people who couldn’t afford it a full price
But these resellers with the thousands of dollars and their business bank loans they can just buy at the entire stock, and there’s nothing for anybody else
Selfishness and greed is the only way to be a scumbag reseller.

Everyone knows the corporate thrifts are the definition of capitalism. Ceo's making millions a year off free donated items. People that need items for cheap can still get them. Someone that can't afford higher end brands, and collectables should probably worry about getting thier shii together if they want nice things. Otherwise there are plenty of cheap clothes, shoes, books, appliances, furniture.

I love Phoenix resele but lately with the 1 up app I have to quite watching half way through I miss his origional content, I'm a buisness savy person been doing it before Calib was in dippers no offence just true, I use to take PDA scanners into toys r us, walmart, target to resale on amazon using the same concept with basic algorithyms that cost little to nothing it was massivly lucrative till everyone drove the cost to pennies on the dollar due to mass quanity sellers. It can be done at levels that don't make you wally world level thats what destroys it not for just buyers but regullar real sellers that just want to make a extra 20 k a year as a part time gig not millions which is really not nessasry on a neich it will only destroy the market

Not that I'd ever yard sale my games. I know better, and I only really sell to fund everdrives and shit. Some asshat on Craigslist tried to lowball me on Demon's Crest. Nope. Walked, listed it on ebay for 10% below market, had it sold by the end of the day.
You fail to factor in a few things: he has to wake up early on a Saturday to go to these sales, invest/tie up money to sell the stuff, and that these people want to get rid of stuff quick. Of course the stuff is going to be cheap and they are more interested in offloading their stuff than squeezing another $10 out of something.
