Royal fumble would be perfect if it was based of how long you had the tail rather than who manages to snatch it at the last second
Same as Hoarders. Count the number of seconds a ball has been on a field instead of counting the numbers of balls on a field by the end.
Fix there grab too
I belive that royal fumble is the scummiest mode because many times you are 10 miles away from a player and then you get grabbed from the other side of the map
I got lucky with my first win being in royal fumble. I managed to take it at the start and keep it for the entire race

I was talking to my friends about this idea I had for a new level idea I call slippery slope. As the name suggests it’s a big slope that u slide down with the slime on it that makes you slippery. The obstacles to avoid are walls like the end of gate crash where if u hit them u bounce off the map, or platforms that move side to side that you have to line up to get across or jump the one gap that didn’t line up. And finally it would end with just a plain finish line or 3 boxes that 1 of 3 of which would actually take u too the finish. U would be able to see which one is right tho not garbage rng. Let me know what u think!
That would be a fun idea, i can just see the giant ramp going down and you gain speed for each second you are on the slope.

all tail games are shit just because of latency, you'll get your tail snagged from 8 feet away but when you grab another player sometimes theyre tail wont pop off INCREDIBLY frustrating
Once you learn this, you should work around it. I agree that tail tag and royal fumble are awful, but team tail tag is amazing, and if you notice that you get taken a little early, then run earlier then you usually would, and it's a cool concept.

Lets not forget ALL of the tail games first half are entirely pointless. Having a tail for the first forty is pointlessly stressful. Egg Scramble at least has a interesting start middle and end. Meanwhile Ive seen numbers of team tail go up in down like the numbers of pie.

Slime climb is really annoying as a second game due to all the players. Not saying it's easy with an emptier lobby, it's just annoying being knocked everywhere by a stampede of 30 people.

Furret it rewards patience. If you try to do the first jump wait like 6 seconds for everyone to swarm it. You’ll be surprised how ahead you can get after that.

that whole "your role constantly shifts" thing kinda confuses me. egg scramble is one of the most predictable games with very little variations in matches. it basically comes down to "is your team losing in the first 20 seconds? if so, you're fucked!"
I agree. I have never changed my role when playing egg scramble. For example, say there’s a dude trying to steal my team’s golden egg. I have to constantly play defensive other wise I will either let him go or rely on my teammates. Eggs don’t usually get fought over out of the baskets, so they will usually take the egg from you. What’s worse is that if I switch to go play offensively, the guy who stole my egg could either go back to his basket to gain points and prevent me from gaining any or fight over eggs with me in another team’s egg. That wastes time and if you are already losing, then you kinda can’t do much
Here’s a tip: if you dive into the sea saw, you’re less likely to fall off of it.
Here’s a second tip: dropping onto the seesaw makes you less likely to fall
Here's a third tip: if people learned basic physics no one would fall

Fall Guys honestly feels like it’s a really good looking 2014 Roblox game. A bunch of random mini games with an ass-load of people and an elimination factor. Along with that I said 2014 Roblox because at least Roblox, no matter how shite, at least fixed their engine so you don’t randomly ragdoll and fly halfway across the map because you stubbed your toe.
Fall Guys C A N be fun but the amount of times I’ve been eliminated because I was thrown off the map because of the physics engine is aggravating to say the least.

Great list! Pretty much agreed with every point made. My top 3 ordered would have to be Hex-A-Gone, Slime Climb, and Whirlygig
Replace Whirlygig with Seesaw and that's my perfect episode. I even have it saved on my channel.
Whirlygig or Jump showdown has to be my favorite maps (probably because sweeper bars from wipeout)

I notice that you don't like the RNG elements of a lot of these maps as much as others, but I would argue that in a casual mess around game like fall guys the RNG maps can make the game as a whole better because it means that a worse player can still get a win and make it through a few rounds, and while in a competitive scene yes that's certainly an issue in a casual nonsense game like fall guys this turns into an advantage
I’d be down to see in the future some sort of level entirely based on sliding on slime, sorta like those sliding levels you’d see in Mario Maker
Imagine having to time your jumps and do some cool tricks in the air and maybe having to decide quickly which path you will continue sliding down on. Or heck, imagine having the ability to move your character left and right to push people off, that would bring in so much rage lol

I know this sounds odd but...
all of the other game modes have chaotic and occasionally out of control natures, which is what mediatonic's goal was with this game, and each one does succeed at doing the objectives that the minigames provide: eliminate players. Perfect Match is not fun and its not chaotic enough, so it feels like its a snoozefest. it also doesn't eliminate players effectively, so theres not much point in playing. on top of that, theres not much platforming or utilization of your moveset, other than the VERY rare last-ditch dive that one person might HAVE to make in order to survive. these are all reasons why Perfect match is the only game I NEVER want to play, no matter my mood or whatever.
also, DO NOT make the argument that theres no luck, because while there may be no luck involved, theres no skill involved either.
the only quality about it is that it guarantees you won't get Royal Fumble because the final rounds willl DEFINITELY have more than 6 players because perfect match can't effectively eliminate players
even team games while your on yellow is better and more fun then perfect match
100% facts, I hate perfect match and I don’t know how it isn’t the lowest on this list. It’s incredibly boring and repetitive and like you said, doesn’t have the fun chaotic nature of the game.
@@zenonix5710 I felt like they've made it harder since i posted this comment but it could be me or other people have just gotten worse, but its difficulty is barely a factor when its still not fun!
They could easily fix it by making a fake out or having 2 fruit show up back to back. For example, the fake out could be to show 1 fruit, don't start the timer, but then cut to another fruit and start the timer then. OR they could make the 1st round just 1 fruit, 2nd round 2 fruit back to back and the 3rd and hardest is 3 fruit all in a row.
That would DESTROY the people who weren't paying attention because there just isn't a lot of time between the fruit switches to gauge where everyone is going effectively.

@@RoseaSword but that doesn't really do anything because all the incorrect tiles are already gone so how could someone jump onto a correct one if theyre already falling? The position of the tiles after the reveal isnt the core issue. It is the fact that we have ample time to hoard around the correct answer and that there is only 1 question being answered at a time. Which is why i suggest multiple fruit in a row.

For tail tag turn on player names. You can see if anyone is in the underpass or if anyone is coming or something like that. Pretty helpful and makes that one a lot easier.
Imo the 3 team modes should have the last 2 teams eliminated instead of last place. That prevents the team ganging (well it would encourage teaming against the winning team but that would keep the flow changing since 1st place is constantly changing).
Also imo fall mountain is waaaay to quick for a final.
Edit: slime climb #1, can't complain. Wonder how well it would work as a final mode.
Slime Climb is a perfect final round. No changes needed, just like Hexagone.

Tip for tip toe: the last two tiles till the end are always real
Watching the game is so different from actually playing it. When playing it, it feels like you only get about 5 out of the 25 maps in most of you're rounds. Alot more fun to watch than play

I personally don’t like Jump Showdown because of the RNG of which piece falls off. It would be better if it merged all the players on one tile rather than the order of tiles falling being indiscriminate
the mach just became a game when 1 guy tries to find the path and the others just wait and try to knock any other player in that little title, it's kinda sad and infuriating when you are very close to the line and some guy just decide to kill himself and take you with him.
I also don't like the RNG in jump showdown, also sometimes when you have only 1 piece to stand on, sometimes you can easily jump over the bars and other they perfectly align in just the way so its impossible to not get hit into the slime.
That's actually an aspect of Jump Showdown that I like because you can stay on the biggest area to have more space or you can try to isolate yourself to avoid the crowd of people killing you, but jif you do that, you risk your own tile falling with nowhere to go. If the next tile is close enough, you can still jump to it if yours falls but that takes even trickier timing than the normal jump over the bar. The RNG tile falling mechanic allows for some decision making amidst just the jumping component

I have an idea for a map
The map would be called “Guess it”
A pattern of random shapes will appear on a screen
It will ask you questions like “How many total Squares were there?” or “Was the 2nd shape a Circle?”
3 Text boxes you could click on would appear on your screen, and one of them is the correct answer (unless if it’s a yes or no question, only having 2 text boxes if so)
There would be 3 rounds for it, and a final round for it, called “Gold Draw-out” which keeps going and going until 1 remains.
The game mode of it would a be logic, and the final would be a final, of course.
This was my idea, it may not be good, but I think it is!
Edit: I forgot to say, the more rounds that pass, the faster the shapes go and the more shapes there will be.
the 2 problems with seesaw are what you already mentioned: too luck based (significant advantage if you're towards the front) and a wonky physics engine (some people can climb 70° angles while some will fall off a 30° platform, it depends on if your character wants to land on his feet or not).
i win at seesaw all the time but it's such an annoying game regardless.
i really hate fall mountain because I always start in the last line which gives you a disadventage that can make the difference between reaching the crown first or second....
As a tip when this happens, as soon as you're getting to the part where the balls come, do not be directly behind anyone. If they get hit and topple over, their body will slow you down too. If you're not behind them, you will get ahead when they're hit.
Only exception would be if the alternative to moving away from them would get you hit with a ball because that's much worse

From the perspectibe of a noob to these types of games, your ranking is something I can agree with. I also like the skill based levels a lot more, and the points you brought up for see-saw were really cool ideas! Also I never made it to the end of slime climb (yet) but I really look forward to it. Which further proves the point that it is one of the hardest maps.
I also really like that you didn't just say "that ones fun", but also that you didn't overcomplicate things.

You sit around for one and half minutes because it's worthless to have the tail,
after that you do a little prayer to Papa Jebus and go after the tail with 30 secs left,
you grab the tail and start running for dear life, expertly dodging everyone as you do,
then a guy with ping in the thousands grabs it off whoever has it from 20ft with 2 secs left.
Add a half-baked grab mechanic in there and you've got yourself some freshly baked hell.

The problem with slime climb for me is that that cannons hit you all the time and the conveyer belt is so hard and the dreaded macaroni feels slippery to me and I fall
What I love about slime climb is that everybody is so bad at it, so it's an easy win everytime you get it.

most of the time in royal fumble you can get grabbed from the other end of the map but when you try to grab them, most of the time it *doesn't even register*
One change I would personally add to the tail stages would be to give the player who just grabbed a tail, 2 seconds of immunity, and a speed boost so they have a chance to get out of the way before everyone just cluster together.
I agree with Slime Climb being the best map tho.
One little thing I would change about it would be to make the slime go a little slower just in the beginning, cause a single mistake at the very bottom can easily lead to elimination while mistakes on the upper levels aren't as dangerous, seeing as the slime level usually hasn't risen enough to be ann immediate treat

I love standing in the middle of the macaroni in slime climb that is easy to fall off so that almost every player that tries to make the jump falls off. I also love slime climb because if you're the last player you could stand at the end for upwards of 30+ seconds doing gestures just to piss off the other players because you know for a fact that because you're the last player that everyone remaining is watching you.
