Would be amazing if true was a easy to go last hands on a bunch and take your pick of the litter. There a lot of variation from guitar to guitar... Like quite a not.... And QC doesn't pull individual instruments that are not on the same level as the better ones... Would be amazing if an expert separated then into high grade and lower grade.... And then sold them as different models at different price points.... Maybe with a different pick guard or something....They have been working on their QC though, from what I've been told. So maybe it's getting better
Thanks! They do sound great indeed. It's my only D28 kind of copy that resembles so much to that iconic sound. Deep lows and shimmery crystal highs. Do you have something similar? This one is aslo Adirondack + Rosewood, and that is such a great value.
Hey brother man, I have the 318 and couldn’t agree more with you. These are wee cannons. The 16” fretboard radius takes a bit to get used to, but very worth the effort. Great demo, brother man 👍🏻
Thank you sir! The 318 is also awesome, I just have too many mahogany dreads and wanted a Rosewood deeper sounding one. The price difference was insignificant between these two when I got it. Did you have to set up your 318? Mine came great out of the box. Rarely had this happen.
@@77guitarts22 Yes sir, I’m still working on the action, but slowly getting there. I had a custom built OM with Rosewood, so that’s why I went ahead and bought the Mahogany. You nailed it, amazing for the price. The woods are stellar 👍🏻
@randysrhythm I understand, so I take your RD318 didn't come great out of the box. It's probably hit and miss but it's worth the investment to get it set up. Nice about your OM Rosewood. How much better do you feel a custom guitar is compared to the factory ones? I've purchased the wood kit for a Rosewood dread, I plan to built it but make it different than a D28 for example, I plan on something similar to a McPherson combined with a Cort Modern Black... It will be a long process...
@@77guitarts22 I’m still setting it up. It’s a slow process. As is normally the case, setups are a necessity. You were the only exception to that rule with Recording King, I’m afraid. You might want to go buy a lottery ticket 😂
