Isayama knew how the story would end when he started writing and so he felt trapped by this. He felt that he couldn't change anything which is why he says that the character he most identifies with is Eren, because he too is trapped by the story having to go as it was thought up. Kind of like what Mason Quin was saying
2:14:03 Eren prepared Mikasa early on in her OVA. Blows my mind up to this day how an extra episode so filler-y, released 5 years prior from the finale was showing how the series will end. How the concept of the Paths was right there in our faces. The same thing that happened in the Cabin Scene.
@@lucassmith3790 The *Mirror Man* pushed her to confront Eren's death. And Mikasa can't go into the Paths by herself. The colors of the butterfly that Mikasa kept seeing is an obvious representation that she's in the Paths. At the end of the OVA she said it felt like waking up from a *LONG DREAM.*

Only after eren's death in the paths was she able to kill him in real life. -Eren admitting that if anyone else had this kind of power the outcome wouldn't be the same. Ymir was filled with hate and rage, and was in a life-or-death sitation. She turned herself into an immortal monster out of necessity. The boy with the dog was wandering around exploring happily. He lives years and years after the nukes were dropped living a peaceful life. -Armin was seen as the old man near the tree after old mikasa died and got buried next to eren. he was the third to make it to the tree, as was told. -First scene of season 4 was falco looking at birds. he woke up from a dream where he thought we was flying above titans wielding swords. the amount of foreshadowng in this show is mind blowing. -Similar thing in season 1 episode 1. Eren wakes up and asks Mikasa "When did your hair get so long." The last part of the dream he had, Mikasa had short hair (final episode). The genius Isayama planted these foreshadows and references in EVERY episode -Eren had to manipulate himself to be the kid full of anger and hate so he made the titan eat his mom instead of berthold. he also needed armin to inherit the colossal so berthold couldn't die there. People didn't wan't to accept that since they wanted to believe Eren and his cause but unfortunately he wanted this outcome more than anything. -"You were right armin, i am a SLAVE TO FREEDOM." stop it Isayama, we don't deserve you. Remember Kenny's last words before his death? "We are all drunk on something, eveyone was a slave to something." And of course, this quote applies to every single charatcer in the show.
-Eren never saw the shell armin found when they first made it to the sea. he never looked back, he was too busy thinking about 'if we kill all our enemies, will we finally be free' looking out in the distance. he was obsessed with the idea of an unoccupied, free world that he didn't notice the beauty next to him. -Armin says let's tell our story to everybody while holding the feather at the end. The best anime recommendation that can match the peak story telling of attack on titan would be CODE GEASS next, its a masterpiece that you shouldn't miss!
What is Oak talking about with the hero ending? That's exactly what happened, a heroic sacrifice. Eren let himself be killed to rid the world of titans. This is the big contrast to Avengers Endgame. After you finish death note you need to try out Vinland saga. It’s similar to attack on titan but without all the powers and the ending is even more satisfying.
That's why I love AOT. A lot of people hated it cause it got too mainstream or hyped and honestly, it's a bit of a slow burn. But I loved it cause as much as I dont mind the black and white Good and bad angle in a story. I truly believe we are also the result of our environment and surroundings and that sometimes a hero and a villain is a matter of circumstance. I totally understand every character's POV whether it was Zeke, Armin/Hange, Eren, Reiner, heck even Flock😂 . Though some characters irritated me a bit like Gabi (yes I know she's a kid), Reiner's Mom, Maggath (at thr beginning at least), that bearded guy that killed Grisha's sister, even Ymir (yes she's got that stockholm syndrome going on) but most especially I HATED KING FRITZ. HAHAHAHA He shouldve died a painful death 😂 Honestly, Eren was the result of thousands of years of HATE (Ymir's). And Mikasa's choice to kill Eren was Ymir's resolution. It felt like Mikasa ending Eren's life was Ymir's way of ending her attachment to the king. The projection tho😂 The story building in this series plus the score. Gosh. I haven't watched the whole livestream, but so far no one has mentioned the upcoming AoT movie coming out very soon. Do you have any plans to check that out?
You talking about “JiU” that dude hates the show, idk why he was even in the live chat. Literally everything he said was negative about the show. He was trying to get these guys to hate the show like him too
Hey Diamond Dave, I know you guys are getting a lot of anime recommendations and its mostly people just listing the anime that they like so I've made a list of anime that I think YOU guys would like as well. The english dub for the anime in this list are all fantastic Chainsaw Man (Action, Comedy horror, Dark fantasy) Code Geass (Action, Psychological thriller, Alternate history, Mecha) Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood (Action Adventure, Comedy, Steampunk) Mob Psycho (Comedy, Supernatural) One Punch Man (Action, Comedy) Assassination Classroom (Action, Comedy) Psycho-Pass (Sci-fi, Crime, Cyberpunk, Psychological thriller) Personally, I believe you guys would absolutely love Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood 2009 (not the 2003 version) and I'm sure the viewers would love to see that one next after Death Note. Then if you want something more lighthearted One Punch Man or Mob Psycho or Assassination Classroom would be good. Code Geass is a suspenseful thriller similar to Death Note and the protagonist is like Light Yagami. Psycho-Pass is basically a sci-fi True Detective S1 quality levels of great. And Chainsaw Man is awesome too with a movie coming up this year. You guys are getting a lot of other recs like Demon Slayer, My Hero Academia, Berserk, Vinland Saga etc (I've watched all of them) but trust me Dave the list I gave you will make you guys love anime even more similar to what AoT has done. A lot of the the other recs people have been telling you to watch, I don't think the guys will like them as much even if many other folks do. I know this is a long message but I hope it reaches one of you! One last rec would be Castlevania on Netflix seasons 1-4 (not nocturne). This is technically not anime cause its not made in Japan but this animated show is amazing. Great action and witty dialogue.
While Zeke’s plan seemed unfavorable and in humane to many at the time, in contrast to the 2 other alternatives we’re currently have on the table Zeke ( and by extension Dr. Ksaver ) was on his way to save the world if it wasn’t for Eren. Zeke’s plan would have not only have assured all currently living Elidans could live out the rest of their lives in peace, but also nullify the threat of the titans to the outside world for the future. Hell if Zeke’s plan went thru the world would probably just give up on attacking Paradis cause they would see for them selves thru the Eldians scattered across the world along with the ones on the main continent have ALL lost their reproductive capabilities, both males and females. It was a completely peaceful and warless conclusion that would have not shed another drop of blood on either side especially since what eren did was for nothing since the ending showed us the titan powers will come which means more oppression and constant fighting because of it Zeke was right to kill off the eldians imo.
Please add "Mob Psycho 100" to your watchlist, its really really good show and fairly small runtime. No matter when you watch it i can wait, just add it.
Why don't I see anyone recommending "Demon Slayer"? They are literally at the perfect time to watch it, if you start now you will finish it very close to the premiere of the movie that will be released this year, "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba" totally recommended!!!
IT IS NOT an speculation, assumption or theory. It's not Eren who control the titans in (S2E12) it was the future Eren when he has the founding titan power(S4E5). the touch between Eren and Dina it's just gave the future Eren with founding titan power the access to control the titans at that moment. [Lightning spark is a sign that the founding titan power is working. Hints Historia reading the message from Ymir(S3E21) Eren controlling titans(S2E12) Eren kissing Historia's hand(S3E22)] Eren when he got the founding titan power(S4E5) he can alter memory of any person with royal blood past or future IF he has touched him any time.[Hints (Historia Message). (Zeke don't want to touch Eren)]. Eren can control any royal blood titan past or future IF he has touched him any time(Dina). When Eren said "So, so many times I tested it, all to no avail" it doesn't mean he saw all the other outcomes and all come to this end, it's mean he saw (he is killing the humanity) and he try to stop what he saw by trying to make peace with humanity, but humanity don't want peace(S4E28). he can't change things he saw it. (S4SP1)Eren says “Later, though i'm not sure exactly how far in the future, i massacre these people. Before too long, they'll all die. No, I kill them. It's already determined that i do. I imagine we never found a way for Paradis Island to survive. ... I just can't accept things ending that way. ” Remember, there is no titan power can see the future that didn't happen. Attack titan only see the memories of its future inheritor(memories means something happen 100% if it didn't happen he can't see it). Eren only could see his future because he sent what happen to him to his dad then he saw his dad's memory which has his future. It's a fixed timeline not a circle or multiverse. If you disagree with any point, you are objectively wrong and I will be happy to have conversation.
One Piece! You guys enjoyed the live action and that’s how I found out about you guys! If you guys decide to take that journey I’m sure you the friendly One Piece community will be happy to have you!
vinland saga is an easy next pick and to me, its the most similar to AOT so youll get more of what you like. Great story and great action and very serious and its about vikings which is always cool
Post path AoT is so bad and the author even said so himself. Some minor dialogue changes but sadly the ending fell flat. Pre paths 10/10, post paths 7/10.
The author never mentioned anything about regretting the ending. This is often a lie that is spread around by some people who hate the ending so that their opinion would be seen as more "valid". The only thing isayama regretted about the ending was the dialogue between armin and eren in the manga to which he changed it in the anime. Post path rumbling has its weak moments but despite that i wouldn't say that the ending overall fell flat. The ending has some flaws but overall it was good. Most of the people that complains about the ending has their complains mostly centred around eren who they often misintreprate a lot as a character espeacially during subtle scenes that gives the viewers more insight on eren.
Man that guy “JiU” in the live chat is so negative. You can have criticism on the show but literally everything he typed out was negative. This little guy hates the show so much yet he watched their whole reaction?😂
please don’t watch My Hero Academia, Demon Slayer, or even Vinland Saga. These are all way too "anime" and, honestly, kinda childish. Instead, I would indeed recommend Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood, Gurren Lagann, and Odd Taxi. The great thing about Fullmetal is that it’s considered one of the best dubbed anime out there. It takes some time to warm up, but once it gets going, it’s absolutely amazing. Overall, I think these three shows would suit your personalities much better.
another anime i would recommend that has a beautiful storytelling and character development is vinland saga, loosely based on a true story as the characters names were real figures in european history. I would suggest this not only bc it is an insanely great anime, easily a top 2 for me after AOT personally, but also i feel like this would be a lot easier for you to digest the dialogue and the sequences bc it has a sort of realism i guess bc it revolves around vikings and battles and not a lot of fantasy and superpowers which might be pretty confusing and overwhelming at first watch especially for yall who are new to anime (like jujutsu kaisen, although that one's a good one too)
Isayama knew how the story would end when he started writing and so he felt trapped by this. He felt that he couldn't change anything which is why he says that the character he most identifies with is Eren, because he too is trapped by the story having to go as it was thought up. @@themediator1426 to each their own cuz MyAnimeList beg to differ
Code Geass, jujutsu kaisen, Frieren would all be great to see
Hat to Code Geass
@メイメイ-l1h Yes that would be the coolest.
I want to see you guys react to Code Geass pleaseeeeeee
Sorry couldn’t join today’s stream, it’s my nieces 7th birthday! I hope everyone had a fun live stream! Hope everyone has a wonderful Monday! 🙏🏻🙌🏻❤️
When will u guys post Death Note on YT?
Man that one guy in the chat was super toxic
You talking about “JiU” that dude hates the show, idk why he was even in the live chat. Literally everything he said was negative about the show. He was trying to get these guys to hate the show like him too
Hey Diamond Dave, I know you guys are getting a lot of anime recommendations and its mostly people just listing the anime that they like so I've made a list of anime that I think YOU guys would like as well. The english dub for the anime in this list are all fantastic
Chainsaw Man (Action, Comedy horror, Dark fantasy)
Code Geass (Action, Psychological thriller, Alternate history, Mecha)
Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood (Action Adventure, Comedy, Steampunk)
Mob Psycho (Comedy, Supernatural)
One Punch Man (Action, Comedy)
Assassination Classroom (Action, Comedy)
Psycho-Pass (Sci-fi, Crime, Cyberpunk, Psychological thriller)
Personally, I believe you guys would absolutely love Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood 2009 (not the 2003 version) and I'm sure the viewers would love to see that one next after Death Note.
Death note? Awesome 😎
if we're the baddies our theme should be baddie by ive lmaooo
I hope you guys do anime in dub mostly from now on. It's easy to miss when it's sub when you react.
It was a completely peaceful and warless conclusion that would have not shed another drop of blood on either side especially since what eren did was for nothing since the ending showed us the titan powers will come which means more oppression and constant fighting because of it Zeke was right to kill off the eldians imo.
u guys should react to hirayuki sawano aot ost
Peak TH-cam right here!
hoping for steins gate next
Its been a great journey ❤
You guys need to watch Death Note next plssss
Now Deathnote reaction next
How come no one mentioned steins gate as the next candidate?
If you like AOT, then you would like Full metal Alchemist brotherhood, Death Note, Code Geass and possibly Monster
They’ve started death note already. They’re on s1 ep 18
@@Shane3599 Didn't know that yet. Thanks for this! Hope they will enjoy it and add the other shows I've mentioned to their to watch list soon!
Where's the gofundme?
In our community tab. 🤙
Too bad the live chat on replay is off😢
The live chat is on the screen lol
Watch Gundam 00. It's set in modern times and has a lot of global politics that Oak really loves
Cant believe i missed this t.t
when we are having you react to AoT soundtrack?
Bro watch erased, parasyte , death parade and akame ga kill if you like attack on Titan - also death note and JoJo is pretty chill too man
Aot suite when?
Please add "Mob Psycho 100" to your watchlist, its really really good show and fairly small runtime.
No matter when you watch it i can wait, just add it.
Why don't I see anyone recommending "Demon Slayer"? They are literally at the perfect time to watch it, if you start now you will finish it very close to the premiere of the movie that will be released this year, "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba" totally recommended!!!
It was on a poll, but Death Note won. Eventually, it will get watched 🤙
Hints Historia reading the message from Ymir(S3E21) Eren controlling titans(S2E12) Eren kissing Historia's hand(S3E22)]
Eren when he got the founding titan power(S4E5) he can alter memory of any person with royal blood past or future IF he has touched him any time.[Hints (Historia Message).
Remember, there is no titan power can see the future that didn't happen.
Q:If no one knew about the Attack titan power, the owl didn't know, and even King Fritz didn't know about it. How did Grishia and Eren know about it?
So glad you liked my favorite show! Now, as the clever boys you are, you need to see Dark, I think it will completely blow your mind.😊
banana fishを薦めたい😊凄い良いanimeだ。
The mods made the chat unbearable. Unbelievable how much social clues they lack.
Death note guys
"Vinland Saga" or "Berserk" next plz :)
One Piece! You guys enjoyed the live action and that’s how I found out about you guys! If you guys decide to take that journey I’m sure you the friendly One Piece community will be happy to have you!
Dammit I missed it I was working D:
vinland saga is an easy next pick and to me, its the most similar to AOT so youll get more of what you like. Great story and great action and very serious and its about vikings which is always cool
yup
Most of the people that complains about the ending has their complains mostly centred around eren who they often misintreprate a lot as a character espeacially during subtle scenes that gives the viewers more insight on eren.
fullmetal alchemist: brotherhood next please
VINLAND SAGA !
Please
Man that guy “JiU” in the live chat is so negative. You can have criticism on the show but literally everything he typed out was negative. This little guy hates the show so much yet he watched their whole reaction?😂
React to :-
1. Attack on titan suite
2. Attack on Titan in 9 mins by gigguk
3. Attack on titan reviews by gigguk
Let's go!
I Love You dudes🎉🎉
If you want something with a well written plot and great character development plus action Vinland Saga is the next one to see
please don’t watch My Hero Academia, Demon Slayer, or even Vinland Saga.
Thank goodness you guys are reacting to Death Note in eng dub because its so good
any other recommendations?
Try watching "A Silent Voice".. it's a great story, no gore and this is a movie.
Patiently waiting for you all to start One Piece and watch it for the next 20 years
They will love Vinland Saga
Code geass would be great ! i don't even comment like that lol
Waiting for a Castlevania reaction 🙏
Full metal alchimist brotherhood please ❤
Guys, next up: Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood and Hunter X Hunter.
Time for Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood guys! I love AoT, but I love FMA ever more personally.
another anime i would recommend that has a beautiful storytelling and character development is vinland saga, loosely based on a true story as the characters names were real figures in european history. I would suggest this not only bc it is an insanely great anime, easily a top 2 for me after AOT personally, but also i feel like this would be a lot easier for you to digest the dialogue and the sequences bc it has a sort of realism i guess bc it revolves around vikings and battles and not a lot of fantasy and superpowers which might be pretty confusing and overwhelming at first watch especially for yall who are new to anime (like jujutsu kaisen, although that one's a good one too)
REACT TO VINLAND SAGA
EREN DID NOTHING WRONG!
Glad you guys got to start with AOT. I recommend demon slayer for the next watch!
Full metal alchemist brotherhood...that's all i can say...
You guys NEED to watch attack on titan requiem!
