what are you doing to keep records on each of the ewe's? Gallager has one, I think Te Pari has one - both NZ companies - Ewe with bad udder - Ewe slow coming into milk? she is a B flock girl not a A flock girl because of that (or she would be for me because if you lambed her outside one of those lambs would be dead) - recording keeping is so important but it has to be quick and easy especially in the middle of lambing, being able to sit down at the end of lambing and have a good look at sheep that can stay, sheep that will go to market, sheep that go from A team to B team, lambs that can going into the breeding program

That is a nice start to lambing. Have you looked at a possible nutritional reason for the prolapses? We had a mineral imbalance one year and a lot more vaginal prolapses.

A thought - had you considered recording the colostrum data for each ewe, along with the other factors you would typically track (if she prolapsed, if she missed and was open, if she had triplets and successfully raised them, if she didn’t love her lambs, if she got mastitis, etc.). I would think that information could be really helpful as you develop both your pedigree flock, and the commercial side as well.

What quantity of Ewe nuts are you feeding and do you feed twice a day? Lovely video thanks.

I know colostrum in heifers is not great or not nearly as good as a second or third year cow - it this the same in sheep? - will colostrum levels in your ewes take them from the A flock into the B flock if it does not come up to the levels needed

Ewes look far too fat Will, they barely look any different with the lambs out! I love the look of a fit ewe but potential for a lot of grief there. Appreciate videos and hard work that goes into them when time is in short supply.
