- Another special guitar. This one comes from Schecter Guitar Research and Synyster Gates of Avenged Sevenfold. It's a quality guitar whether you're a Synyster/Avenged fan or not. Fun to play and it just plain cranks! (Although, wouldn't mind finding one without the Syn look.)

I remember being in middle school and wanting a synster gates signature guitar so bad. Never did get one, maybe somewhere down the road.
I highly recommend you do get it has some amazing sound to it

I got a used custom model with the invader pickups from a pawn shop for 450$ and sounds just like the new ones. Well worth it. Might find one kinda cheap if ya look around.

They can go as high as 1500$ cad for the customs i got the standard for 1200$ it really depends on if you want the sustainiac pick up

A7X is the reason why I bought my first schecter
I ordered the white one with the black pinstripes and it arrived yesterday. Huge Avenged Sevenfold fan here and I gotta say, this thing is amazing. Hands down best guitar I've ever played. The neck is the best neck I've ever had in my hands and the tone is just all kinds of awesome. Very well built. My favourite guitar that i own is my Schecter Omen Extreme and this ones just came along and blown it out the water.
My dad played guitar and he started showing me somethings and trying to teach me guitar when he got cancer because i moved back in with him to look after him. He passed away not long after being diagnosed so i only knew the open chords at the time and maybe a couple of scales.
He'd also been listening to Avenged Sevenfold for a few years from hearing them through me (he loved Richie Blackmore, Gary Moore, Carlos Santana, Brian May, Slash, Angus & Malcolm Young, Dave Murray & Adrian Smith) but he really liked Synyster Gates and Zacky Vengeances and said they're his favourite modern day guitar players, to my suprise (even if he did used to joke about their names being dumb lol).
Anyway, i always wanted to get a Synyster Gates guitar but wanted to wait until i felt like i was good enough to deserve it. And I'm absolutely gutted that he's not here anymore because he would've LOVED this thing. Great video by the way!! I've been telling everyone that they're not just for teenager's some of the older metal heads would definitely get a kick out of playing one of these bad boys too. Just not a lot of people are willing to give them a try because Avenged Sevenfold get so much unnecessary hate, I don't know why people hate them, I think they think it's cool or something. They make excellent music, are amazing live and they sure as hell know how to play their instruments. Always doing something new and exciting too. 🤷♂️🤷♂️

Iv had the black and gold model for about 7-8 years now with the sustain pickup in it and its my recording guitsr for when i do my computer music its a great guitar extremely versatile very nice instrument overall i really like it i play it almost everyday for my daughter shes 1 and loves music. One day im going to teach her how to play im just waiting for her to ask ❤
I don't know why it didn't come in drop D tuning i also had to retune mine, kind of frustrating but oh well a quick youtube search fixed that after about an hour but being that a large portion of their songs are drop D one wouod expect for $1,300 it to be tuned to the artist preference...
The closest you're gonna get that's NOT a SG signature is a Schecter Revenger 6-FR.
But Schecter did a few runs of "less flashy" syn customs, I think they were called the Syn Special and Sun Deluxe if I remember.

Yes they are! Right now I am using my MiM HSS Player Stratocaster for the live band I'm playing with. It's fantastic - I should really do a review of it. I also have an American Standard (SSS) Strat and the MiM is every bit as good.
