Extremely strange that the crossplay enable/disable setting is just not present on the other platforms. Couldn't join on PC after wracking my brain, even did the port forwarding and got to OPEN NAT in game, turns out it was because of this. The kicker is I only played a bit on ps5, so I had to wait for an entire download of MW2 JUST to toggle this setting, so I could then get on with playing it on PC. Mind boggling incompetence from these developers, kudos for figuring this one out!
Hi. Yes, it really odd. All the different platforms should have the option for switching off crossplay. PC players sometimes don’t like playing with console players, keyboard/mouse vs controller etc. and visa versa. Then some platforms are more susceptible to hacks and cheats etc. For whatever reason, the choice should be down to the player if they want crossplay or not. I mean, how hard can it really be to implement that option for everyone? What’s even more perplexing is why the PS5 is screwing up the ability to join a game for the same account on PC or Xbox. I tried contacting Activision but they were not able to figure out what was the reason of this behavior, in my case I was able to fix this situation by following this video, I have PS5, Xbox and Rog Ally, Cant join any match in my Rog Ally and it is because my PS5 has the crossover OFF, last time I buy this game in two different platforms. I have this problem. I had a PS5 but traded it for an Xbox Series X a few months ago. When I had a PS5 I had the crossplay turned off. Now that I'm on Xbox I can't matchmake in Warzone no matter what. I can wait forever and it won't matchmake. The problem is that I no longer have the PS5 to be able to change the crossplay setting. So I'm stuck.
Yup that was the problem on PlayStation as well. I have 2 PlayStations and I switched cross play off on one of them and all of a sudden I couldn’t play online. After I switched it back it worked. 👍🏽

wait so i dont play my ps4 anymore.. i used to play mw2 there.. but i have a pc now, and just got the new mw3.. ive been having the 200ms ping problem not being able to load into a game.. but theres no option to turn crossplay on or off on the pc.. so if i dont have access to my ps4 to turn this on, am i technically fucked?

If so, this is a massive problem that Activision must be aware of and it would seem that they are doing nothing about it. I would have thought that Activision could have reset this setting from a players request. Or at least they should have a remote setting within a player’s Battle.net/Cod account to change this. looks like I was actually really lucky to work this out. As I sold my PS5 a few weeks after making this video and my Warzone account would have been stuck if my last game on the PS5 before resetting and selling had not have had crossplay switched on. i got my shadow ban removed brother and the way to do it is just wait a week something like that they are seeing footage of your gameplay even if you are a new player they just want to make sure that you are not cheating or smurfing as an old player to ruin the fun for newer players that is just it dont worry they will undo the shadow ban to you just like me, hope this is helpful ! @@Tofast4thots567
I’m having this issue on warzone 3. I will find lobbies with cross play turned off but only 30-40 to start game on solos. When I turn on I get full lobbies but I don’t want to play against pc players. Any ideas? I only have ps5 and ps4
I'm playing Warzone 2.0 on pc but used to play briefly on PS5. I've been playing with my two friends (one on ps4 one on ps5) and we've played near to 50 matches with crossplay. No issues. Suddenly, I can't get into a game with them but they can without me. After 10 minutes of queueing, we once got into a game with only 27 players and took 20 minutes for the pre game to put us into the actual game. I went onto my PS5 and crossplay was on and I couldnt load into a game on there either. Help please.
@@DavidHarryTurns out i was mass reported for “cheating”. I’ve never cheated or anything like that. My friend said it happened to him when he got a game where he managed to get 15+ kills compared to his average 3-5. But for me i average about 8-10 kills and had a game nothing out of the ordinary with 12 and got kicked out of the game which then started the problem.Activision auto suspension system is messed up. I’ve logged into the ban appeal website and it says my account is under review for a “possible violation”. Absolute rubbish. Cheers anyways

@@DavidHarry nothing is explained. Crossplay is about the platform and has nothing to do with the Activision account. Most people can't find games with crossplay off without having a ps account as many said to you below. That is why you turn crossplay off on Xbox in your console settings . It is the console that restricts crossplay not the game on Xbox.

Yup that was the problem on PlayStation as well. I have 2 PlayStations and I switched cross play off on one of them and all of a sudden I couldn’t play online. After I switched it back it worked. 👍🏽
