I sugggest to use minimal arrmor if you know you are going on a ship to ship combat. Only wear complete armor when you know you're doing fps combat. Tip 2 is adjust your gama higher when you are in a dark area like a cave so you can see a little bit better in the dark
You should get into the habit of always being fully kitted, you never know whats gonna happen, a full kit is like 10-30k which is nothing and eventually you need those extra resources to wait for a rescue, defend yourself or just for survival.
Exactly this. I only equip the gear once we’re ready to go to the cave. :)
Thanks for the detailed info. Just came back into the game after a couple year break and this was much needed. Always happy to sub to more SC content creators
Welcome back and thanks for subbing! Let me know if there is anything you’d like to see content wise!
Perfect video, you are so underrated ! Keep it up ! Great job and thanks a lot ❤
Thank you so much! We got to start somewhere! This is only the beginning of my journey on TH-cam! Cheers for watching!
tips: go in with medium armor n backpack. Light backpack might not be enough sometimes n heavy backpacks are too cumbersome.
I've been grinding this for a while now. n safe to say that;
1) its fast (once u know what u r doing) u can do sub 20mins, including travel time and painfully moving the gems into your backpack
2) AI location are predictable.
3) Possibility of Hadanites on the camp site which boost your yield/run.
4) no rep required.
my highest yield including mission reward was 270k/run. lowest 110k.
Impressive run value! Great to hear its working for you!
thanks man for this method, i will try it after the ROC rent time expires
This was bugged at the start of alpha 3.18 but give it a go. If they have loot it’s been fixed
@Scribbinge aye it’s frustrating as I enjoy this route. :(
Really solid video, didn't know about the crawl space
Cheers for watching!!
Huh, coincidentally I had the same plan with using those FPS caves. Only difference is that I'd buy the Pembroke armor undersuit and it's backpack (at any cargo center), since I believe that is cheaper than buying an actual fullset of heavy armor.
Maybe do one or two bunker missions to fund this, just in the basic white undersuit and helm with the free arclight pistol they give you. (New inexperienced players might die so it's not foolproof). Steal a 9T's heavy armor set if available, then skip over to cave with a small stockpile of weapons and ammo.
But yeah, although an experienced player will have more efficient methods, a new player should definitely stick to something like this since there's less risk.
The medical multi-tools can be sold at a hospical for 700 aUEC. I always take those.
Alright, im subbing. your content is too good to not keep up with
Thanks for subbing and commenting! Glad you enjoy it!
If you pick up the Call to Arms mercenary mission you get an extra 500-1k auec per criminal kill, really adds up when you are clearing caves and bunkers.
Thanks for commenting! I would normally advise for the cave to take this mission but in my attempts and tests it’s never actually awarded any auec for targets in the cave in many tests and runs I’ve done. Whether this is intended or is unknown but I’d have thought they would award it.
Helps to be capable at fps, for the rest of us its box missions, unless there is an on ramp to fps talent that doesn't run up gear replacement bills that annililate any money you might make!
You can always practise! I am terrible, but using a sniper and aiming for the head makes it super easy, these guys wont shoot if they dont see you first. :)
@@TheHavocide My only successful tactic so far, but if they wont come your way then you have to go and find them, which is where is all goes base over apex!
The joys of the cave is they tend to have head lights on. I’ve never had to go to them with it. Sniper with scope will make it easy to stay afar. If I have to get close I tend to jump around to make aiming tougher for them and just machine gun them down :)
Update: While this does work in 3.17, it does not in 3.18, the enemies no longer have Dolivine on them, playing in the open PTU I did find 1 loot crate that had 5 pieces in it but that was it. Devs must have seen this (or similar) vid and made adjustments to where you can’t make money this easily.
Until 3.18 drops it can not be tested fully. It will be something I check out once it’s live. :)
@@TheHavocide 3.18 live: Dosn’t work.
@@LCreeper575yeah it’s a confirmed bug: issue-council.robertsspaceindustries.com/projects/STAR-CITIZEN/issues/STARC-58617 be sure to add it the issue council.
Only one comment? Heresy.
This man is doing the Emperor's will.
New video! Cheers for watching and your support!
Indeed, these remembrances are truly a gift from He Who Sits on Terra.
You say it's a bug that the backpacks are empty, meaning if they fix that we can loot the ores from them?
Correct. It was a confirmed bug backpacks not having loot.
@@TheHavocide ah lovely that's great to know thank you!
@@nduthyuf your welcome!
I've found with 3.18 being live that there are no gem spawns in the caves. Anyone else have this?
Yes! :) Confirmed bug, be sure to contribute on the issue council for it: issue-council.robertsspaceindustries.com/projects/STAR-CITIZEN/issues/STARC-58617
@@TheHavocide done
@@Protato1979 awesome. We can only but wait sadly. Hopefully you can find money using one of my other guides. :) all the best!
Not being any "cave loot" was reported and confirmed as a bug within the 3.18 PTU cycles, which has caused it to come over to live unfixed meaning until this is fixed this method is sadly not effective as the loot is not present. There was a post on Spectrum that was tagged by a dev but I do not have the link for it at the moment in the meantime everyone trying this method should report the bug if they experience it to the issue council below to raise more awareness for it: issue-council.robertsspaceindustries.com/projects/STAR-CITIZEN/issues/STARC-58617
You can double-click on items in your inventory to equip them ;)
Well I made about 100k/trip yesterday but it seems they must have gone in and quick patched it. Been 3 different times today on different servers and enemies/loot boxes don’t spawn in there now
I’ve just logged I now to complete a run and found hostiles and loot boxes to loot(sadly most where crap armour boxes but the guys did drop gems to the amount of 102k. Hard to say what you experience here but you can always submit a big if you are certain your there and not finding anything.
@@shoelessjoe4493 True. I also went twice without having a mission and on both occasions there were no enemies and all together only one box worth 7k aUEC
post 3.18 logging out wont throw you back to the station as persistence is being introduced, no?
also the amount of people likely to be doing this after 3.18 drops is going to be off the charts lol
I’ve tested this on the PTU and it still works logging out so il retest when the update occurs. :)
In 3.18 only combat logging will be changed. When you log out while a hostile player is nearby, your ship will act like an NPC trying to get to the nearest station with a landing pad for about 5 minutes. As soon as there are no more other players nearby or the timer runs out, it will despawn.
Everything else should still work as in 3.17.4
*My #1 advice is always:* Treat it like visiting a foreign country in real life, not like a game.
My best advice for making money as a new player: Reputation
Confirmed, this does NOT work in 3.18. Unfortunately it appears they did in fact patch this cave so you can’t large amounts of money so quickly.
This was reported and confirmed a bug within the 3.18 PTU cycles so it will just need to be fixed. There was a post on Spectrum that was tagged by a dev but I do not have the link for it at the moment but in the mean time everyone trying this method should report the bug if they experience it to the issue council below to raise more awareness for it:

HAVE YOU DONE THE GIVE AWAY
Yes, the competition was completed. :)
havent had this cave mission pop up at all.. is there a rep requirement
No requirement for rep. Only the two missions. It’s said it can spawn more frequently with higher rep however.
I recommend doing "Halt illegal Surveillance" Missions until you have 100k. Thats 5 missions. Then rent a Constellation Andromeda for 80k / 24 Hours and grind Bounties. You will be multi-millionaire within hours. Even new players can do it, since you wont really die in a Constellation - aaaaaaand, it has over 50 missiles 🪖🏴☠
Great advice. Perfect for a bounty hunter best start edition ;) thanks!
I have been doing this with a C rated Titan and it's been rough. I like your idea.
@@1up5down Can only recommend it. A good thing to know, especially for bounties in atmo is a slow approach to the target, and as soon as you are in range for your repeaters reverse with full power and fly straight backwards. That way the target will most likely fly directly towards you, and you should kill it it one go
