This reminds me one day, when I was fishing in Wisconsin (and yes, this has to do with severe storms.) I was on a boat fishing, and I was watching a storm slowly developing several feet ahead of me. It actually was developing rather quickly, and I was horrified, as I realize a supercell was literally developing several feet ahead of me. (I had never really seen a supercell before.) Before too long, it got Very dark, and the greenage was showing in certain parts of the storm. I used that opportunity to escape (even though I didn't have a whole lot of fuel in the tank.) As I neared the pier, I saw a wall cloud, or possibly a mesocyclone. (I was actually aware that the storm was indeed rotating.) Something that still sticks out in my mind.

This is an excellent mechanistic lesson for beginners! Please, we enthusiasts would like to watch the rest of the rest of the lesson on the process of tornadic formation from the pre-supercell stage, through meso-cyclone formation, and on to the final dissipation " roping out " stage, as well as the cyclic regeneration phase.
These are very well spent tax-pauer dollars!
    Thank you,
    Johannes ( " Spin-up " )

I thank you so much on releasing this, I've done a ton of personal research on supercells, and I might learn something. TYSM!

Do you use an algorithm to identify the cold pools and associated gust front?
