Ohh my Lisa Brown RIP. You were a legend and role model for so many girls especially in the 80s. Your brilliant portrayal of the legendary Nola Reardon as we followed her from the humble beginnings of the very unlikeable, mean , manipulative villian to her transformation into the beloved heroine. She taught us that everyone must eventually pay for their actions but can turn their lives around with kindness and compassion. And turn her life around she did when she captured the heart of the charismatic Quinton McCord. Together they took us on an unforgettable journey of intrigue, mystery and true love that captured the hearts of every young girl . Showing them that dreams can come true and true love does exist. Only Lisa Brown could have captivated the audience and stole our hearts in the process. You may be gone but the characters you created will last forever. RIP you were the true queen of drama tv and you will never be forgotten
Had to come back down Memory Lane of The Great Drama Dreamer, who has passed away very recently. The Show is Missed, but so are those who filled our afternoons,& too many have gone to next gig in the sky. Watch out Heaven, you just got a Big one!!!😢
Man. GL was the best soap to ever have existed. The acting and stories were always so superior and never relied on cheesy cliches(most of the time). I loved Nola & Vanessa. Vanessa is my all time favorite soap character, but Nola is a close second(with Drucila Winters from Y&R). They were so much alike, 1 was just a bit more laid back and proper. The cat fight in the Scarlet Ohara dresses at Nola & Quint’s engagement party is in my top 5 favorite moments. When I got a chance to live chat with Maeve Kincaid last year during a Locher Room interview, I brought up that scene. She just laughed and laughed and told us about how much fun it was and how she loved Lisa.
I only started watching in 1995 but don't you notice that alot of Irish Families made their presence felt on US Soaps. Another World, Days Of Our Lives, Loving and Days Of Our Lives & Ryan's Hope. Nadine Coyle of Girls Aloud would have been perfect to play a distant relative of one of the families.
Nola was one of best characters she started out as scheming bitch. But what I love about her was the fantasy character such as wuthering hts. Gone with wind characters. Nola was zany feisty nosy her roles had to be so much fun to do. Lovelove Nola!
RIP Lisa Brown. Her name was also acknowledged in The UK Version of The Mirror since they show Old School Soap Operas like Guiding Light who are 20 Years behind.
Can you imagine how bad Lisa Brown (Ex-Nola) Must have felt knowing that Aretha Franklin died considering that she was in her Video for "Everyday People" originally done by Sly & The Family Stone whose catalogue Michael Jackson's Estate now owns.
I found it strange that Anthony James returned but Anastasia never returned. I know at that point the Reardon' s were pratically phased out by the time Nola left. Other than that great video and knowing that Kelly was The Flash, I can see why Nola wanted him. Haha.
Yes, for a short time The Barlows on The UK's longest running Soap Opera Coronation Street were on the Back Burner but now they have their own storylines. Now there are Four Generations, Frank A Postal Worker (RIP), Ken (An Advice Columnist which is a joke considering that his Family is so dysfunctional), Peter is a former owner of a Clothing Factory and his Son Simon who wants to join the Navy.
Nola was the best character on that show. I do not think anyone could have played her other than Lisa Brown. But am I the only one that is bothered by the fact that Nola was always the youngest Reardon child. But when Chelsea came on was it not written that all of a sudden she was the youngest. Maybe my memory fails me but how could they just change such a major detail. I stopped watching after Nola and Quint were written out so I never did see much of the Chelsea character
Nola was always the youngest. I stopped watching too before they changed that fact. I miss her desperately. You are so right that only she could have captured us as she did.
I told UK Soap Fans how a lot of Actors made Cameos in Music Videos and they were impressed. As you know Lisa Brown was in Aretha Franklin's Video for Everyday People originally done by Sly & The Family Stone. Michael Jackson who was influenced by him now owns his Catalogue as well as Sam Cooke, Little Richard & James Brown. Also in The UK a lot of Boy Band/Girl Group Icons reinvent themselves as characters on Soaps and do very well.
Nola started off as a villain the way she manipulated Morgan and Kelly, but she really became fun when she met Quint and started having fantasies based on old movies.
Seems like Buzz and Nola would've been a perfect couple, but I wasn't watching when all that business was going on. It seems like, in watching this video, every time Nola came back was during one of my periods when I'd stopped watching the show for whatever reason. The main thing I remember her for was the Kelly/Morgan incident and with Quint, and those were the best times of GL. Also, Bridgett often reminded me off Nola, so I'm glad to see that when she returned Bridgett was still on the show
Nola was my favorite character on there. I sure would love to know if the children that played Stacia were boys? Because soaps sometimes use boys to play girls. As babies and toddlers of course.
😢Lisa Brown I truly cared about youYou were formerly a part of my life And I loved you! Your birthdays Aug 2nd I don,t forget Reason in 1917 In yourbirthday I had 3sets of twins,One named Elizabeth Jeanette ,They were still born Yound Michael Tylo will have a special place in my heart, With the poem I dedicated in memory of you Two Golden Bands And One Red 🌹🌹😢😢

You ain't lying girl!
What an extraordinary actress Lisa Brown was. I loved the dream sequences Doug Marland wrote for her. RIP Ms. Brown!!
RIP Lisa Brown. Nola was one of my favorite GL characters.
So, so sad to hear of Lisa Brown's death. Loved her and Michael Tylo.
Sad to hear of this news. :'-(
RIP Lisa Brown😢
R.I.P Michael Tylo-Lisa Brown
RIP Lisa Brown and Michael Tylo.
Fantastic! Lisa Brown was solid gold. Can’t believe she passed away last year. So sad.
GL was on fire back then!
you ain't lying gal!
R.I.P. to the great Lisa Brown. She will be very missed. 🙏🙏🙏
My favorite character of all time.
Quint and Nola were everything. I'll never get over losing both of them in 2021. Will love them always as if it happened yesterday.
Pam Long intentionally neglected to write for Nola because she was wanted to concentrate on Reva. Damn her.
Had to come back down Memory Lane of The Great Drama Dreamer, who has passed away very recently. The Show is Missed, but so are those who filled our afternoons,& too many have gone to next gig in the sky. Watch out Heaven, you just got a Big one!!!😢
Nola Reardon will prolly go down as Marland's best creation on any of his shows.
Bridget and Nola were perfectly paired
They looked truly related to each other.
@@rockyracoon3233 I thought they looked alike too.

RIP Lisa Brown. You were the best actress ever on GL and ATWT.
The Reardons were, after the Bauers, my all-time favorite GL family.
Oh i loved Tony.. I was upset when He left GL for dumb stints on ATWT etc.
@@GLBizzie the actress passed away now.
@@michaelguerrieri3486 yeah I heard it yesterday.. What a bummer. First Mister Tylo and now Misses Brown :(

I was always appreciative of the GL creating storylines that showcased Lisa Brown's dance training - she was a marvelous dancer.

Awesome video!
God rest Lisa Brown

I wanted to see what happened to Anastasia.

OMG my Guiding Light my favorite CBS soap!🥰
Awww Nola......those were the days! Lol
Great casting…
Lisa you and Nola are so missed RIH 🙏🏾❤️
Nola was comic relief in the whole Roger-Holly storyline when she first came on. I wish they had shown some of that.
Who doesn't love Lisa Brown as Nola...I remember those days of Nola so much fonder then Iva!

strange and bizarre plots and goings on were no less a staple on Guiding Light in the 1980's than in the 21st century!
Showed Lisa's talent and far range from Nola to Iva. She played Iva more straight where Nola had both melodrama & comedy.
Loved her ❤ RIP Lisa
That story about missing a ride to her wedding was done - - on the TV show, Rhoda.
I have loved you Spauldingfield for many years😍
Nola was fine 😘
Jan Erye ! It was my favorite🥰

Buzz had to put on hold cause of that whole relationship with Nadine and Harley.
Hal munson
Nola was my favorite character on there. I sure would love to know if the children that played Stacia were boys? Because soaps sometimes use boys to play girls. As babies and toddlers of course.
She had to be the best female character on the show
Silas Crocker aka Hal Munson and Nola Reardon aka Iva Snyder

No I was not borned in 1843 I was borned March 28 th 1953😂😂
If the internet people would listen I,d not have to repeat myself😮
I liked her first stint with Q! But her return and being Buzz Stalker was real BS
It never happened . . the quola mantra
What was the episode date where Nola confronts Lillian.
I actually don’t know.
❤Nola
NOLA!
