I was born and raised in Fort Wayne. It is a great city but is going in the wrong direction. The powers that be are trying to turn downtown into a mini New York City. It failed in Des Moines Iowa and in South Bend Indiana. Also our roads are absolutely horrible. I've been to 3rd world countries with better Street. Politicians sit back and blame our Winters, like bad winters just started. Nothing but poor excuses and no planning. They've received tons of money for all these downtown projects and the failing Electric works and have let the roads go to pot. We have almost 90 parks in Fort Wayne and many have very little usage. A study needs to be made on usage and close those under used. The politicians love to Annex Land from the county raise the taxes through the roof and then loot that money away from those neighborhoods into their pet projects. While the neighborhoods deteriorate.
